I have used this garage for years (AWB Motor Company Hyde) mostly just for M.O.T. but a few other minor jobs. I have always done a car service myself but on this occasion decided to get my (Qashqai 1.5 diesel) serviced at a garage as I am getting older. Paid for the major service then went home to check things. Oil change OK, Air filter OK, then noticed Fuel filter had not been changed. Took it back next day and they said it was an oversight. got back home and thought what else has had an oversight. Checked the pollen filter that at the time of service they said they do this as think it should always be changed at a service. The pollen filter had been placed in position the wrong way round as it has arrows on it for guidance. Looked everything up to be sure and it was definitely the wrong way round. I did not complain to the garage as I wont be going back anyway I just turned it around myself. I wish I had done the full service myself now!. To be honest they have always be good in the past but as I say only for M.O.T and minor things.

RAC Warranty is a joke . Was sold a car leaking oil. Took it to my trusted mechanic and was told unsafe to drive as Turbo had play and could go any time. Contacted owner who told us to drive it round a couple of weeks before claiming on RAC so they wouldn't be suspicious! Didn't care that we could have had fatal accident. RAC don't cover turbos due to carbon build up and wanted turbo to assess. My mechanic said it would cost about £800 to do proper job and clean out filters, pipes and sump. AWB wouldn't pay wanted their mechanic to do it. They didn't even notice an oil leak so wasn't prepared to trust them with that job! Sought legal advice and asked for refund under Sale of goods act 2015 short term right to reject. I would Never recommend this garage after my experience.

I have been using AWB for years now and I thought it was about time I wrote a review for them as the guys there really are great.

As a woman driver it can be scary choosing a garage adn taking it in for a service or MOT, with all the bad press you presume you will be ripped off adn taken advantage of.

Here it is not the case, the guys are honest telling you what is wrong and what needs doing and why. They try and get you teh best parts for the right money ( i know I have tried to get quotes from other garages and they are not comparable) and having used the national, big name garages and they really do rip you off.

The garage is a member of the Good Garage Scheme and I can know why, they really are great bunch of guys, they were recommended to me and I alwaya recommend them to others.
