AVOID AT ALL COSTS: Was sold a car (Red Tesla Model X) which had unreported damage in bad condition and sold via distance selling then denied distance selling rights. Tried to blame me for not noticing things in a video which was sent to my phone, under fluorescent lights and quickly walked around without any narration or context. Constantly told car age and milage meant I should expect the car to have had damage and panels resprayed and problems (car is less than 5 years old!). After complaint was emailed some cut and paste terms which was never sent prior or made aware of and then they quickly updated their website to include these which doesn't make sense as the purchase wasn't through their website. Reported to trading standards and court forms filled in ready to go.

DO NOT HAND OVER A DEPOSIT. I drove 3 hours to look at a car at Bayers. Concerns were raised when the salesman told me to ‘bring a smile’ along to the appointment, and when I got there, I was asked if I needed any help reversing my car into their carpark. As a female, being asked to ‘bring a smile’ and being patronised about my driving sent red, misogynistic, flags straight away.

The car I had come to view was riddled with rust and the front tyre’s legality was questionable. The interior had a vague smell of cigarette smoke and apparently had been ‘valeted’ but that was hard to believe. I took the vehicle for a spin and noticed a couple of issues with the steering and handling of the vehicle. This, coupled with a few other things on the MOT history, really put me off the purchase.

Having decided not to purchase the vehicle, the attitude and demeanour of the salesman completely changed. He became passive aggressive, refused to refund my deposit, fobbing me off with it being cleaned, then walked off. He didn’t engage in any way to move forward, was curt and quite rude. I’m chalking it up to experience, but would recommend you actively avoid this company, especially if you are female. There is no customer care, they’re just chasing the money and in my opinion, a bunch of charlatans.

Bought Tesla without viewing during lockdown and car was as described. 2nd key not available, but I bought a new one from Tesla and had it programmed and was refunded by Bayer immediately. Also after few days of purchase noted mark on bonnet which was again rectified at their cost, along with some repair to a play in the windscreen wipers.

Quick response to all queries by the person I dealt with, v good service indeed and recommend and would use again.

Best dealer I have ever come across not pushy let me test drive as long as I wanted , would not buy a car from anyone else and I live over two hours away in Milton Keynes came away with the best deal I've ever had would highly recommend could not do enough for us have had my car six months and had no problems a great car at a great price

This delightful used car dealer goes about running his business in a very odd manor. Simple communication skills lacking, particularly if you come across to Bayer Car Sales as a conscientious buyer (or simply have an interest/know something about the model you're interested in purchasing). Simple queries remain unanswered, yet did receive an off subject response that was unprofessional and somewhat daunting to think that some people could be giving their hard earnt money to this dealer.
