Avoid At All Costs
Bought a Mini Cooper Auto In March From BOC.For £10,995 10days later I found out 2 of the car doors was full of filler, I contacted dealer who offered a repair which I refused as trading standards had advised me that legally they had to give me a refund. All correspondence by me was ignored I went through 3 months of stress then hired a solicitor to get my money back.which he did. When I took the mini back this obnoxious person stomped about throwing papers about like a spoilt child.I wish I had looked at all reviews ( not Just on his website). Take note do not buy go to a different dealer will save you a lot of stress

Don't Know What To Say
Well bought a car and why do you only get a little bit of warranty on it and all the motivation service history was missing and I found it online and there's been problems with it and I didn't get told this so false information I say
Car Purchase
Purchased a car from BOC Cars. He was polite courteous and did not pressure.
The showroom was warm, clean and the cars all looked in very good condition. The car I purchased was first class all transactions were done in a pleasant way quick and efficient. Excellent company to deal with, very satisfied, will recommend.
The only downside was I had to travel back and it took 5 hours plus however a good day.
Work In Progress
Bought a Mazda mx5 convertible, and paid the full asking price. Problems with steering were reported to the dealer within the warranty period.
A catalogue of events which begger belief !!!!
They had the car back 3 times, but the problem still remains.
I contacted them today, but the only offer from the dealer manager was to refund the £6000 less £500 for the 700 miles we have done since the car was purchased. I rejected that, and they said this was the only option and wouldn't even tell me where the car was and no chance of getting the keys. I went the BOC and had a very heated argument with the dealer. I will be taking the car into my usual machanic next week for a full report on the steering problem.
I had to advise that I would call the police if they didn't tell me where my car was - unbelievable!!
It's unbelievable for a dealer who resides at BOC to tell a customer to f-off !!
I haven't even been given an mot certificate.
Now I have the car back, this is work in progress which will start next. Form your own conclusions.

30 Year Old Tyre
I bought a used vehicle for £995, 'sold as seen', so no come-backs, no warranty. Should have known. I didn’t expect it to last a long time as it was 13 years old but all the other vehicles were in the £3000-£6000 range, probably more, in the showroom but for some reason this one was parked in the car park around the back. My original assumption, given the website advert, was that this was on a par, albeit cheaper. It was a pleasant enough sale with the guys and all seemed well. However… I had to take it for a new tyre after a couple of weeks and it ended up needing all four of them changing, one of which had a split all the way round the inside that you couldn’t see without removing it, very dangerous!! “Honestly mate, I’ve not seen that tread pattern on a tyre for 20 years at least.”, said the tyre mechanic. We all ended up gathered around the computer in the shop, looking for this tyre on Google. It was unbelievable - 20 years old minimum. My suspicion is that they must have swapped out the tyres before I picked it up. All the other tyres were original 2003 tyres as well, so they were 13 years old !! Plain bloody dangerous for a family car - I can’t believe they are allowed to get away with this, which is probably why it was sold as a ‘trade’ sale to get round it. All of which was done right at the end of the sale BTW, so I was in full ‘yes, ok’ mode. Saying ‘yes’ to everything. No wonder it was hidden away in the car park. I bet he was ashamed of it and rightly so. So started with £150 bill for a full set of tyres. A week later an engine sensor blew - another £50. New battery required as well - £85. Thankfully another 4 months went by without any issue but then it was MOT time last week and it failed spectacularly. Multiple welding required, the sills had been painted over to disguise the deteriation, entire new exhaust, ball joints, still one of the tyres was knackered, so the tracking was screwed plus the timing belt needs changing. So to fix it would be close to another £800 - £1000!!! Safe to say I’m scrapping the car - which it should have been in the first place and not sold on. An absolute disgrace in my opinion.

Stay Away
I bought my first car from BOC - a black Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible. As it was exactly what I was looking for I paid full price and did not try to haggle for a cheaper price. However, during the first week the car would start ok but them run terrible, jumping and kangarooing until it stalled. I took it back and was told it needed a new sensor amongst other work. I was assured this was carried out and picked it back up 2 weeks later. It ran ok going home but the very next day it was worse than ever. I returned the car again and eventually after 3 weeks was told they had no idea what was wrong with it. They did give me a refund but they also promised to return my personal belongings to me. I still have not received my belongings and the whole situation has cost me a lot of money. They are now not returning my calls/texts. I would avoid at all costs.

Blatant Disregard For The Law
I bought a car from here which started playing up within 24 hours of purchasing it. At one point, coming off a roundabout, the car dropped to 10mph and started kangarooing and another vehicle nearly went into the back of me. Clearly not fit for purpose, yet they refuse to give me a refund - in blatant disregard for the law.
Don't buy anything from these conmen!

Out Of Pocket By £4000 Thanks To Boc
BOC listed the car I bought in auto trader as having a FSH, after scrutiny by BMW and the car people they found that it was missing its 1st service, under sales of good act this is not as described.
They also failed to tell me that 2 ally were cracked and welded.
Both these details came out months after my first issue with the car.
on the drive home form the dealership I noticed a constant screeching noise from the brakes
this was due to warped discs, BOC has replaced the pads but not the discs.
the brakes also make a clunking sound every time I pressed them
the run flat tyres were under inflated by between 8 and 16 PSI
there was an issue with the water reservoir and the headlight washers - but BOC did fix these
after 1.5 to 2 months I became aware of a drowning noise from the rear, BMW approved mechanic diagnosed rear wheel bearings and rear diff needed replacing, BOC declined to look at these issues.
In all I let BOC have the car back 8 times over 3 months and they only fixed the water reservoir issue and kept fobbing me off with excused about the brakes and other issues.
an independent garage quoted me £4000 to fix the issues or I cold sell the car at a loss for the same amount.
Very Rude
i arrived at boc as one customer was just leaving and voicing his opions on one of the salesman attitude. I soon realised myself i was in for same attitude after being refused a road test as they were too busy ? How this garage keeps going with staff like that is beyond me.

Fantastic
Spoke to salesman regarding sale, finance and part ex on my old car. Signed sealed and delivered on first visit. Car was mot'd and I picked it up the next day. Friendly salesman, not pushy and down to earth. Quick and pain free process. Highly recommended.
