Purchased a car last year.

The delivery involved a long commute and I was immediately informed that the screen wash needed topped up as he’d used a lot on the road coming up. When I refilled I discovered the right side washer pump was completely blocked - something he 100% would’ve known but didn’t point out. No courtesy call follow up (no surprise there). The car stunk of cigarette smoke also, something I’d asked the dealership to clarify as I was buying remotely due to covid restrictions.

Fast forward 9 months and I receive my first contact advising me to pay some toll fine which had accrued extra charges due to failure to pay. When I eventually got through to someone (emails and initial call went unanswered) they tried to convince me that it was my responsibility to complete the transfer of ownership paperwork. I advised them that it absolutely was not but they wouldn’t have it. I was happy to pay the initial fine but the additional charges were due to their failure to complete their part of the sale. Still, nope. I’m not surprised they were discourteous and ineffective but to feign ignorance takes bad service to a whole new level.

Never ever again.

Don't waste your time here I paid a deposit of £100 for a car I never had. And have been waiting 10 days for my money back... I have phone them around 20 times and have been told the boss in London until tomorrow. Then got told to call in and they will give me my money back when you do no want can give it you.

Or you give them you bank details and still no money back. It looks like I will have to report them to the financial ombudsman or take legal action.

I wouldn't go anywhere else to purchase a car. Fantastic customer service. I have purchased my last two cars from cantaliever.A Micra and a Corsa. Strongly recommend to family and friends.Buying a car is a gamble but with Cantaliever you tell them what you want and they go above and beyond to suit your needs.

I went to visit a 1.4 polo on Sunday and purchased on Monday. The guys delivered the car the same day from Warrington - Harrogate! The car was spotless, couldn't of asked for better service, highly recommended!!!

We recently purchased a Volkswagen Passat Estate from Cantilever Car Sales. The sales man was very friendly & helpful, there was no pressure from the sales man, we were left alone to look at the car. After looking round at a few other garages we decided to have a test drive of the Passat. The car was ready & waiting when we got there & they had no problem with us taking the car to Swinton for our mechanic to have a check over the car. When we returned with the car & pointed out a few things that needed doing, 2 new tyres, cam belt, passenger window switch not working & a few other minor faults, they were more than happy to have everything sorted. The car was ready for us to pick up a few days later, all the faults we asked to be sorted had been done, the car was also MOT'ed & serviced. The sales man was great from start to finish.

We are very pleased with the car & if you are looking for a second hand car we would definitely recommend Cantilever Car Centre.

This company were nothing but fantastic. After the disappointment of two cars being sold before being able to get to the garage to view them they contacted us to advise us of a car they had just taken posession of. They gave us first opportunity of viewing the car before they put it on the forecourt and it was just what we were looking for. Now that's what I call fantastic customer service. My son is absolutely over the moon with his car... Thank you so much Cantilever. We will definitely be recommending you.

Second time I've used this company and very impressed with the service offered,great sales agent and efficient.

Myself and my wife called into cantaliver to look at a small second car the sales man we spoke to was fantastic we test drove a white fiat punto and decided to go for it the sale went through with no problem the garage arranged for a new m o t for the car so we arranged to pick the car up 2 days later we had a problem with insurance dates so he offered to deliver the car for us it arrived freshley valeted and a bunch of flowers for my wife wich she loved.I can't say anything bad about this garage i highly recommend them

I have just bought a used Toyota from the Cantilever Car Centre,the salesman was professional, friendly and very helpful without pushing me into anythng. He turned the delivery of the vehicle around in 24hrs,the car was valeted and presented in a immaculate condition.

I am thrilled to bits with my car and would recommend the staff and the Garage to anyone.

I bought a Vauxhall Insignia from Cantilever Cars & I have to say it was by far the best car buying experience I've ever had. The salesman Alf was very polite & knowledgeable & didn't hurry or pressure us at all. It was all very relaxed. After the purchase we had a couple of minor issues with the car which were dealt with promptly & professionally, nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this garage, they are a credit to the profession.
