Over Charge And Carry Out Work Not Needed
Miss diagnosed problem, charged for work that wasn't needed. What work they did do they overcharged by over £1000 for labour. Peugeot say job should take an hours labour Charters charged £1265 plus vat for the hours labour .
CHECK YOUR INVOICES I CANT BE THE ONLY ONE THEY DELIBERATELY OVER CHARGED

I bought my Car From Charters Reading I have endless problems with the car but what has made me really mad was i needed a Tyre replacing due to a puncture and when i went to get the nut lock from where the spare Tyre is kept guess what there wasn't even one there in the space where it should of been so i rang Reading Store but i found the sales guy rude and just refused to replace the key so i have to foot yet another bill for this car which is only 18mths old!!, I will never buy from them again or will any of my family and friends please Be WARNED!!.

Good Quality With Competitive Pricing
The quality of the car plus the helpful friendly manor of Iqram who when we agreed the deal sorted out the road tax & insurance there and then. His colleague who prep the car was equally helpful both therefore made our journey worthwhile saving a us a return visit from Gloucestershire enabling take the car away on the day.
Overall very please, the only minus point for me was the £99.0 administration cost announced after agreeing the price. I think you should show this requirement on your website, otherwise 5 stars. Therefore I would not hesitate to purchase from you again in the future.

Found The Right Car For The Wife.
The wife was looking for a particular car, her best mate just got one. Shes a hairdresser so Ill say no more. The boys at Charters came up with the goods. Right car, colour and price. Coffee wasnt the best but you cant have it all. Ill deffo be using them again.

Slimey Lying Salesmen
Terrible, Terrible customer service. Expectations were not set and complete lies told my face whilst the slimey salesman shook my hand. Only offered me £4000 for my peugeot car as a trade in - and failed to deliver. Have now got a lovely brand new car from Drive Vauxhall where the customer service was out of this world! Plus they gave me £5200 trade in for my Peugeot car plus extra money off my brand new car.Since my experience I have shared with friends and family, 3 of which were looking for new cars and Charters were on their list - have stayed well clear and spent their money else where, at companies that care about their customers and have no slim on their salesmen.

Charters Listen Their Customers
Trying to meet customers expectations is difficult when we all have different expectations. Charters listened to my needs and helped me get what I wanted from a senior level.
After much research I bought a 508 SW Allure, due to some local difficulties in upgrading stock a bought a car that had slipped through the quality checks BUT importantly the directors immediately offered rectification and wanted to uphold their quality assurance levels.
I have had a fully written quality assurance service and we are working through correcting any minor issues. I will update this review with 5 stars when we have completed the process.
They are good to their word, and that is worth a lot.

Found Them By Recommendation And Glad I Did
Have been looking for a new car for a while now and being in Reading there is a large choice of dealers but was advised to try Charters by a friend. Although they don't sell new cars I tested one of their 62 registration Peugeot 308s and really liked it. They were extremely friendly and offered a reasonable discount as I did not need finance. Would very much recommend them again.

A Lot Has Changed In The Last 2 Years
I used Charters Reading in two years ago and had a bad experience (much like the rest of the reviews on this site). However, I received a discount code in the paper and thought I'd give the "new team" the benefit of the doubt.
I'm really glad I did. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I felt happy with my repairs being done. My car came back cleaned and repaired.
I am very happy to have visited there again and am happy that Charters Reading have brought back an older style of garage - one where you (as a customer) are treated with respect unlike the multitude of corporation-like companies who treat you with disdain, the second you walk through the door.
