Got a brilliant car from Glenfield, waiting time of one week to get it ready for pickup. Paid cash so can't comment of finance options but they offer them.

Sold A Faulty Car, Finance Fought For My Money Back
Bought a car online, turned up to check and take away, car had a fault. They told me to leave it with them for a few hours and they would have it fixed. Came back a few hours later and it was not fixed. They told me to take it and they will have it repaired in a week. Called a week later as still no repair, was told they are waiting on a repair. Continued to chase up and eventually months later told them I was not prepared to wait any longer and needed it fixed asap. They failed to reply, so I launched a complaint, then complained to the finance company. They denied all knowledge of the fault and then claimed to have already fixed it. They shouted at me on the phone, called me a liar and then hung up.
I let the finance company do their job and investigate. They fought the whole thing but the finance company had everything they needed to refund me all of my finance payments and arranged to collect the car and fight Glenfields themselves.
Contact your finance company if you are having issues with this company, include every email and logs of any calls you make! My personal opinion and advice would be to stay very clear.

Kia Ceed 1.6 - Euro 6 Cat For Ulez Commuting
I was not expecting too much as I was not on the market for an expensive car but was still looking for a ULEZ compliant diesel car for my daily use, the folks at Glenfield took their time to take me though the options and I got a Kia Ceed 1.6 with a great engine, higher mileage but in perfect condition so compromised milleage to get a newer 2017 model. They were very upfront about the pros and cons, don't expect any issues. My usual mechanic did not find anything wrong either with it after I took it to check it out.
I will probably trade this one in after a few years, if I go for another second hand car I will most defo come back to Glenfield as I can't really fault them with this purchase.

Racist Organisation Selling Scrap Cars
I rang in to speak to the agent, the representative on the phone called him and said 'there's some **** on the phone', not even bothering to mute the phone! I responded by saying I won't be doing business with any racist organisations to which his response was 'no problem' Disgusting behaviour which isn't acceptable! The cars on site aren't any better than their attitude. All cars need work, bunch of sham artists.

Doughball
Do not buy a car off this dude. He wants to keep them all for himself. Phoned to see if I could look at a car at this dealership, arranged the loan of a car to travel to Kilmarnock. Arrived, checked the car out and asked for a test drive to be told in a smarmy voice 'test drives must be booked 24 hours in advance'. I promptly left with my cash still in my back pocket. Guy thinks he owns an Audi dealership but he's punting 2k cars. I didnt travel there to sit in the drivers seat & experience how the car made me feel with the engine aff then have a glass of bubbly and talk numbers in his wee caravan. I came to test drive the car for major mechanical faults and possibly make him an offer like the rest of autotrader.

Untrustworthy And Aggressive
Caveat Emptor. If you are unlucky enough to find yourself at this dealership turn around and go somewhere else. I purchased a Skoda Octavia, which on the face of it was great value, only for it to have had a previous life as a taxi. The sales staff denied this but tripped themselves upon in later conversations. Having had the car checked out by my usual mechanic several issues were pointed out that Glenfield had supposedly rectified by their "trained" technicians. The work they carried out, replacing the timing belt, caused further issues. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, returned the car, and they promised to fix the problem. Having been promised that the work would be carried out by their most experienced mechanic asap by the General Manager, a week later nothing had been done, and promised updates never materialised.
I eventually decided to return the car, as it was within the 30 days legal period, and arranged a date. I returned the car as promised only to face a refusal of a refund and a torrent of verbal abuse and aggressive behaviour by the other manager when I asked for an additional refund of the lost road tax and insurance cancellation fee. This amounted to a total of £75, This individual refused to refund the money and threatened to physically remove me from the sales office for asking for this but, mainly due to his weak nature, empty threats and over inflated opinion of his physical prowess, he backed down like challenged bullies usually do. I asked him to call the Police but he failed to do this as he was clearly in the wrong.
Thankfully after I returned from collecting various personal items from the car, which was still in the workshop, I returned to the sales office and was refunded the cost of the car and the warranty (they are very keen to push this useless policy), but not the loss caused by the insurance and road tax cancellation. Thankfully the more reasonable General Manager did this without issue and rolled his eyes, as did the workshop manager who witnessed the aggression, when I commented on the unacceptable behaviour of his business partner.
Overall if you plan to buy a car from this company be very careful. Be confident of all of your legal rights and do not be intimidated by this rude, unprofessional and aggressive business owner if things go wrong. Above all else takes notes of your interactions and perhaps record the conversations, as I did, should you chose to take further action as I am considering at present.

This Is My 3rd Car From Glenfield Cars And I’ve Ne
This is my 3rd car from Glenfield cars and I’ve never been disappointed. My current car I got from them is a Vauxhall Insignia. One day the battery went flat when I was dropping my kids off at nursery. I phoned Glenfield asking for help and even although my warranty had expired they Came straight up and took my car to there garage AND the boss fitted a brand new battery free of charge. Thank you Glenfield cars.

Happy To Recommend
Happy to recommend this company
Bought a Jaguar from Glenfield Cars June 2021, but within a couple of weeks a part failed and they asked us to deliver the car to a garage in Motherwell. However, they were unable to rectify the issue immediately as the part was unavailable although the car was still usable, but after some months they managed to source the part and repair the car. Despite this taking a number of months to rectify Glenfields agreed to refund the cost of repairs as the fault happened within couple of weeks of purchase. Glenfields were very fair in dealing with us all through the process and we are quite happy to recommend them for your next vehicle purchase.
