Dishonest Dealer
I purchased a car here for £18k , had some noise from the brakes which the salesman said wasn’t anything just because the car hadn’t been driven - just under 6 months later I find that the disks were corroded and needed to be replaced , car had only done 6000 when I bought it and 8000 when I approached Seat Sheffield to sort it out , really poor response- no intention of helping out.
I wouldn’t go near this dealer.

Buying Used Vwpolo
Very helpful salesman nothing to much trouble for him,and a very fair price to change
our cars. Cant think of anything that we did not like with our service, would recommend Menston JT600 to a lot of people.
Poor Poor Poor
JCT600 SEAT Menston
The worst experience I have had in purchasing anything, never mind the second biggest item you buy in your life.
*Staff product knowledge limited
*Lack of communication (except when something is wrong)
*Cannot deliver product upgrades on time
*Full of false promises

we have put you £50.00 of fuel in car for inconvenience
(I'm sure I got that with my last new car anyway)
Would not recommend or use again,
The only Reason I excepted the car is due to the old contract running out & left with NO car

This Dealer Is Fantastic
To start with I had my car booked in for a minor service and MOT so i arranged a courtesy car with the young man on the front desk, he was well presented and also had a very good professional attitude, I received a call a couple of hours later saying my car was ready and all washed and vacuumed too, the service was fantastic and brilliantly priced too.
I will be using jct600 again!

Engine Management Light After Visit To Menston Dealership
I took my seat Leon fr diesl to have the injectors replaced as part of a recall the car was booked in the the injectors were replaced prior to the car going in there were no problems the car was running fine on the way back from the garage the engine management light came on at this point I was concerned but comfortable in the fact that it had just been to a reputable garage and that they would rectify the problem. To my horror after I took the car back the manager Scott completely denied that the problem had occurred as a result of their work and stated that he would charge £81 possibly more to diagnose what the problem was he was rude and patronising! Unhelpful stating well if you want your car fixed you will have to pay for it! Yes fine but not when it was absolutely fine before it went to the garage at The very least surely they should diagnose the reason why the engine management light has come on
Be aware STAY AWAY!!

Invents Work To Make Money
JCT600 Menston is the worst car dealership I've ever had the misfortune to go to, would recommend all Seat owners to avoid this dealership and use the very good and honest Seat dealer in Harrogate instead. (Evans Halshaw)
Here's the story
I took my wife's Seat Ibiza sport, less than 3 years old (just) with less than 18 thousand miles on the clock into the JCT600 Seat dealer in Menston because we had a soft brake pedal .
1hr 40mins later they told me that the car needed new brake disks, front pads, the brake fluid completely replacing, the brake drums dismantling/cleaned put back together, they said that the car also needed new front tyres and that the handbrake had too much play in it.
All at a cost of about £400 not inc the tyres lol.
Now, my wife drives like a very steady miss daisy and is by no means a speed freak, she usually needs a set of front tyres on average every 5 years.
I told the service guy in JCT 600 Menston that I did not believe that the car needed all this work and that I would be getting a second opinion
.
He just handed me some paperwork that was the health check report, this used a traffic light system to show what work was needed and when and said that the car needed the work doing.
The system they use works like this
Red meant parts needed changing immediately and things are serious
Amber was advisory and indicated that you may need to have something looked at or changed in the future
Green which meant that everything was ok
The sheet I got from JCT600 Menston had everything in the red which indicated that all of the above required changing/repairing.
I contacted the service manager by telephone a few days later and explained that I had taken the car to a Mot garage and they tested the braking system of the car on a rolling road, checked the tyre's, disks, pads, brake fluid and guess what.......the only thing wrong with the car was a little play in the handbrake cable(which they fixed in 2 seconds).
The service manager just stated that they stand by their inspection report even though I could prove that what they said was wrong.
A number of weeks later I put the car in for its service and 1st M.O.T to the Seat dealer which is Evans Halshaw.
I never told them about the trouble I'd had at Menston JCT600 and as arranged a man collected the car when they said they would and brought it back later that day with a 12 months M.O.T and a service stamp in the service book.
They also did the same health check that JCT600 Menston did and produced it on a similar sheet of paper using the same traffic light system and the car went through clean with no mention of all the work that JCT600 Menston said needed doing.
It also flew through its M.O.T with no problems at all and was deemed completely healthy .
I also need to make clear that I tried to take this matter up with JCT600 at both the garage, the Head office and was repeatedly ignored by both and eventually had to get Seat UK involved, who I have to say were very good and offered lots of apologies, a free service and M.O.T for the car next year at a garage of our choice.
Obviously the car will be going to the excellent Evans Halshaw in Harrogate for the service and M.O.T:-)
It is my opinion, that of others that JCT600 Menston invented work that needed doing to our car just to make money, even though the car clearly did not need the work doing and because of this I would avoid JCT600 Menston like the plague if I were you .
If you want to stop JCT600 Menston inventing work that does not need doing, then make your displeasure known by taking your custom and your cars elsewhere.
Sorry for the length of this review but I felt that the story had to come out so that other people don't get tricked by JCT600 Menston, thanks for reading.

2007 Seat Leon Interim Service
I contacted this dealership to carry out a routine service on My 2007 Seat Leon and they quoted me a very competitive price, which they said including a full vehicle check, and standard filter/fluid changes. I asked for a courtesy car which wasn't available for a couple of weeks, so I accepted that they would pick up/drop off the car for me.
The guy came to pick up the car on time, but cam alone, so didn't have anyone to drive back the car he came in. He wanted to leave this on a busy main road which I did not recommend, so he parked it on a nearby residential road. The first question which springs to mind is: why couldn't I have used that as the courtesy car for the day?!
I received a called from the dealer a few hours later stating that various filters required changing and all of a sudden the overall cost had crept up to over £350! I refused to pay the ridiculous amounts asked for, and just had the bare minimum carried out.
They promise that the vehicle would be valeted fully before it is returned, and it honestly looks like someone has just put a hose pipe over it wiped the dash.
Overall very unimpressed with the general service, attitude, honesty, and sloppy workmanship.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
