Trust the 1 star reviews . This garage is a disgrace. It should not be allowed to call itself a VW dealership. Told me the car had no dents or scratches before I travelled at considerable cost to see and potentially purchase it.
The video they sent carefully negated to show these either.
Just wanted the sale and didn't care, The car is now reduced by £500 just a few days after I viewed it. Unscrupulous. Manager was a joke. Please please trust me. go elsewhere. There are better deals and more trustworthy garages out there.

Rubbish After Sales
Purchased a Golf sight unseen.
On the day of collection I test drove the car before completeing the paperwork, but I noticed straight away the car had not been valeted properly to be honest it was dirty and the flip tray in the centre console was broken.
They had a week to prep the car for me, so straight away we got off on a bad foot.
The sales guy said after sales would arrange to come out to my place of work to do the repair.
On the Monday I received and email asking when would be convenient I responded straight away, however I then had to wait a further 4 days and three phone calls before it was arranged to do the repair and surprise surprise they had to take the car back to Derby so using my fuel.
I was not impresse. I asked for the after sales manager to call me.
It was arranged they would collect my car at 10am return it by 4pm and leave me a car.
They didn’t collect my car until 12.30 (I recd email 5 mins before arrival saying they would be late) they left me a car but no keys because they couldn’t insure me. My car arrived back at 5.10 I finish work at 5pm so I’m left hanging around.
I’ve made at least 15 calls and 6 calls specifically asking to speak to the sales manager and he never returns a call.
I spoke to after sales and you ask why there are problems and they just say I’m sorry you feel like that, or I can only apologise there is no clear communication between department no continuity in what they say.
Once they have taken your money they do not back up what they promise.
I would say DO NOT BUY FROM PARKWAY.
If you do buy from Parkway I hope you do not have to deal with after sales they are rubbish and never admit a fault is down to their lack of service or care and you will never get to speak to the after sales manager.I tried again this morning and again was assured he would call be back with 2 hours it’s now over 3 and still no response.
If you get rubbish service you can complain to The FCA and I suggest you do.
Each complaint is logged against them and the at any point they can go in and investigate what they are doing.

20k Car And One Dodgy Tyre
So I purchased a nearly new golf gtd from these jokers, the whole sale was rushed and just felt that they wanted my money the car was well specc,d and I though I wouldn't have an issue buying from a vw garage... How wrong
A few months later I noticed the nearside tyre has a chunk out of its sidewall I haven't hit anything. I took pictures of the day I picked up the car and shows the damage I mention. I emailed vw parkway who didn't even bother responding to me.
So I escalated it to VW HQ complaints they got in touch with the garage only to say that because I have signed the agreement for car purchase its a disclaimer to say on happy with the car even though not at any point was I offered to check the car over during handover just sign here sign there and give me you money attitude.
Shambles of a place.
Id advise to stay away because they only want your money what's a £80 tyre on a £20k car and keeps a customer happy ?
Just to add they also ticked the 100point check sheet to say that tyre integrity is safe when its obvious it wasn't as it would fail mot in the condition it is in. I carry my 10 year old daughter and 2 year old in that car and they let it out in such a dangerous condition!
Shouldn't be allowed to trade!
Reported to motoring ombudsman!

Total Shambles In Everyway !!
There are plenty of great Volkswagen Garages out there but this one should come with a warning.
Very unprofessional from the very top to the shop floor , training seems to be lacking , but management aren't bothered so the staff take lead by example, which is unprofessional.
High end cars and customers are treated with lack of care , customer value goes out the window. Even signing for documents then the garage looses them not just once but twice, so the problems in this Volkswagen Garage is not limited to one area but the whole set up . Sales Managers , Directors should take a long hard look at the shambles of this Garage which is one of a few in the same group. A simple transaction that all sales garages are adverse to ,this garage could not complete ,and then to make it worse this paper work had not even been logged at DVLA when the Lead Salesman led us to believe it had been signed for , not true.
To conclude Volkswagen Cars are Fantastic , but this garage will ruin your experience of owning one.!!

No After Sales Communication !!!!
THE VAN TUNRED UP 3 HOURS LATE. THE VAN HADN'T BEEN CLEANED OR VALETED AS PROMISED. THE VAN HAD A FEW ISSUES WHICH WE WERE TOLD WOULD BE CORRECTED PRIOR TO DELIVERY AND THEY HADN'T BEEN TOUCHED. EMAILED AND CALLED TO DISCUSS AND THE RESPONSE HAS BEEN FAR FROM ADEQUATE!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

Rude And Unhelpful - But Happy To Take Your Money
I visited yesterday after phoning to explain what is was for VW parkway Derby to disable the airbag so that i could put my granddaughter in the front seat, my car is two weeks old and the handbook clearly states that this can be done by visiting the workshop which I duly did.
Never even got as far as the service desk I was told in a very rude manner that this was impossible and would/could not be done. i expected them at that point to perhaps talk about alternatives to transporting my daughter and expected a discussion on what suggestions they could make, the member of staff just shrugged his shoulders and put both hands and arms out( nothing I can do).
Funnily enough,when purchasing this new car this point was omitted form the sales talk.
Not shocked really , I heard of someone who did argue with them last week with very sound and valid points( VW Derby had messed up big time) and was told that if they didn't leave they would call the police- unbelievable.
Avoid Derby parkway VW like the plague - With still no apology or help forthcoming I will be !

shocking service all round, car went in for emissions estimated 1 day required, had the car for 9 days now and still no nearer to getting it back and no courtesy car!!!!!!!!! disgusting

Best Dealer Experience
Just bought a used car from parkway,the whole experience was so good they sent me a video of the car before I went to see it which was brill . Then when I went to see it everything was explained well to me , and I part exchanged a vehicle too . When I went to fetch my new car it was covered up in the showroom which was a nice touch , excellent service from an excellent sales person , must say it was my best experience of buying a used car .

Shocking Experience
II have dealt with parkway Derby in the past and it was good. But not this time, I have booked an appointment in September for two faults in my car. And below are the details:
Appointment Booked for 13th September 2016.
Car Brought in for two faults.
Investigation done, a quote released with charges to fix the car.
I approved the charges, and advised the car need to be kept overnight.
Wednesday 14th September, I had to chase over the phone many times for an update.
Got confirmation the car is fixed and ready for collection.
The first fault been fixed, the second fault is not fixed
I have been advised that the new item to fix my second fault will arrive within 7 days (no information communicated to myself from the Agent that the Item will require coding and might incur extra labour charge).
After a week with no update from Parkway, I have called chasing.
They advised the item is ready for collection. (again poor communication to the customer)
I collected the item, when try using it didn’t work.
I went on Saturday 24th September, they advised it needs coding and extra charge will need to be paid.
I refused and requested to speak to a member of management.
The agent advised, no management available on the weekend and she emailed the manager and the Agent originally dealing with my job. (Advising to call me on Monday).
Again no one called me, and I had to phone on Monday 26th September around 14:00 PM.
They advised me that no extra charge I will pay and they booked me in for 17th October 2016.
I brought my car on the due date, been advised this will take 90 minutes to 120 minutes. And I agreed to wait.
After 90 minutes, I have been told that there were a problem with the item and we need to bring the car in for a whole day. And a decision will be made whether to change the item or try re-coding it.(again no clear view about the fault or the problem)
When I went out to collect my car and starting the engine, a message on the dashboard appears fault.
I went back to the reception and advised them with the fault and they took the car back in and they done a reset.
I would expect the car is fully tested before being released to the customer.
Appointment Booked for 27th October 2016.
I received a call on 26th October saying the new key fob didn’t arrive, and we don’t know when. When it arrives we will call you.
Now my experience is a shocking one with a big name like parkway.
I’m always under impression that big places provide exceptional customer experience.
And not getting customers chasing Vendors for an update to fix their cars.
I went into parkway and spoke to A MANAGER asking to refund me the money for the unfixed fault which he agreed. This was the begining of November and nothing received yet.I have chased by phone and emails asking to speak to the A MANAGER and ever time I get told he is IN A MEETING.and they told if he don't return your calls you have to come in. Now I have instructed my solicitor to take a legal action and we are in process of doing that. Just thought to share my shocking experience with this place and do advise everyone not to deal with them.

Great Service
I was looking for a used car on the internet and found one that I was interested in at vw derby. Having read the reviews I nearly didn't bother. I am so glad that I travelled to view the car. Nothing wrong with the service and the car was just what I wanted at a price compatible with other garages only this car had half the mileage. As part of the garages pre sale check they put two new front tyres on even though the tyres were technically legal. The sale went through efficiently and no problems with the car. I am very pleased with it. Sales staff very pleasant. Only negative comment I could give was that I had to pour my own coffee!!!
