Terrible Company
Bought a car for my daughter and had nothing but issues. Was told it was MOT’d but on checking a noise the CV gator was burst and no grease. It has been into a garage 5 times in two months for the following.
Heater stop working
Lights stop working
Failed CV joint
Brake pads and discs needed changed
Using 1 litre of oil per week
My daughter now does not have a car as needs engine changed. Response is ok when it left their sales centre. Do not be fooled by the smiling sales face
Stay away as absolute sharks and cars are not fit for purpose.

We purchased a Golf from these people back in Spetember. I had my doubts abnout the new MOT that was given on the vehicle, however we went ahead. My gut feeling was right and several problems have arised. As many other reviews have said, they refused to accept any fault despite me advising them of their obligations under the sales of goods act.
I took legal action and upto the point where bailiffs are going out, however I took action againts ss autos which now appears wrong too! Very sly and very frustrating.

We took the following process -
Got the repairs done ourselves and paid ourselves, prior to this tradung standards advised us to write to ss autos. Prior to me mentioning tradung satandards, SS autos were quite pleasant on the phone. Once I mentioned that Im not happy and trading standards advised me to write to them, I asked who the manager is and asked them to confirm their address. They confirmed the magaer's name and gave SS Autos and the Stanhope Street address. Those are the details we issues with, got judgement on and instructed bailiffs on.
However, I beleive I may now have a link - when we were sold the car, the invoice states SS autos, however the warranty card/paper they supplied says 'issued by dealer: Olton Cars'.
We are also obtaining advise from Autotrader, but they are takinga while coming back to us.

my fiance has been a vitctim of theses dispicable dealers, april last year we purchased a bmw 330d as i was 20 weeks pregnant with my son. we bought the car for £2900 thinking we have a reliable family car. in the advertisement it stated to have mot an tax untill later on that year but after purchasing this car we soon realised it had expired long before we bought it. on the 55 mile journey home hell happend as we only made 30 miles before being stuck on the hard shoulder with billowing smoke. turns out we to have been ripped off. The car needed a new turbo but this was only the start to a traumatic next few months. turns out we basicly bought a empty shell problem after problem. we finally got the car back when i was due to have my son costing us £8500 pounds in total. these people put is into debt nearly destroyed our realtionship an made me seriously ill worrying about money. an we still have to live with the mistake today its a never ending money pit STAY AWAY from these awful people dont even look, vile people.

hey , we had issues with them as well , when theyasked for deposit to pay for the car to keep it there till my husband arrives they charged £350 and when he arrived the car wasnt even there and they said they will refund the deposit but instead somehow charged another £250 so £600 for absolutely nothing and noone seems to be able to help either. disgusting people hope they get what they deserve

Note they have changed the company name to 2nd City Motors.
These guys will try and sell you a car with lots of faults on, if you complain they will try the cheapest repairs of the fault you have found.
If you buy from them expect a large bill, and a prolonged court case to get any compensation. Ensure you know your rights and take it all the way.
Like others I am having to take them to court for £2k of faults on my vehicle.

I bought an Audi A3 Sport TDI in Dec 2014
I was lied to from the start.They said there was nothing wrong with the car expect for the light on dash which was just the battery needed charging.(WRONG) After taking it to a Garage and the RAC it was dignosed with the following faults. Glow Plugs,Body Throttle,Steering Rack and also Head Gasket. The car was sent back and they said there is nothing wrong with it just put new Glow Plugs in and some new oil. I asked for my money back but they said NO,I was told to pick up car or they will inpound it, so I had no choice. I wrote to them 3 times with no reply, I am now in the process of taking them to court. Please Please Avoid them at all cost.

A Pleasure!!!!
Purchased my Audi S3 from these guys a few months ago and have to say car was described down to the T. Did mention to the guys I had read the reviews prior to travelling and was told the reviews are from part exchanges which were all sold under £1000. In essence you get what you pay for. Overall a good experience buying my pride and joy from s.s cars.

If you want to buy a car that is bodged I would recommend! They are money grabbers that sell bodged cars as I found out after a warning light came on after 1 weekand I took it to my mechanic who then found out that alot of things had been messed with and bodged!

You were lucky! These people are Awful, A Micky Mouse set up! I lost £3500, Im taking them to court and yes they have changed the company name to "2nd City Motors" and its not the first time they did this.

Ss car sales Birmingham,if you want to save yourself a lot of money steer well clear of this company.Once they have your money and driven away from their premises you are on your own.If anything goes wrong as did it did in my case,they just don't want to know.You get excuses like it's wear and tear or it was alright when it left here.so much for after sales service.After reading lots of customer reviews it appears others have had a similar experience too me if not worse in some cases.
