0 If I Could. I Was Sold A Written Off Car With A

0 if I could. I was sold a written off car with a forged service history. Ignored letters and phone calls.  Put me off of Autotrader and second hand cars. Police and Citizens Advice where so helpful however due to the stress of it all, I decided to drop the claim despite being in a good position to win my money back. I beg anyone who reads this, please don't purchase a car here. Many other people have had the same issue as me, I wouldn't want anyone to be treated like I was.

Disappointing

Purchased a Mercedes R Class from the person I dealt with at the Web Car Site just under three weeks ago. Upon collection was informed that the satnav DVD had broken but that the person I dealt with had ordered a replacement and it would be with me "in a few days". Despite numerous calls to chase up the matter I have still not received the replacement disc so the car I have purchased remains not as described in the original advertisement. I am not having any of my calls or text messages returned. I find it deeply disappointing that a proprietor values his own word and the reputation of his business at less than £50 (the cost of a replacement Satnav DVD).

This review is only not "verified" because I have not received an invitation from the Web Car Site to write a review (for obvious reasons). In the interests fairness and transparency I will edit/remove this review if the company chooses to honour their word and rectify the problem. If you are reading this review then, sadly, they still haven't.

This issue has now been resolved to my satisfaction. I'm unable to amend my original review but am happy to recommend WCS and would upgrade my rating to four stars if it were possible.

Get Yourself A Great Car With Great Service Thank You

this was the easiest car purchase I have ever had, everything was so easy from viewing the car, test driving, sorting out the finance and part exchanging my old car, I don't normally go to these lengths to praise somebody but completely by accident I came across this review site and thought I had to air my views. I would recommend anyone should but from these guys everything was great, please give them go and find out for your self

Total Rip Off !!!don't Go There If You Want A Car That Works

Bought a Renault from this garage in July 2012, had a few faults when we looked at it as it had just come in but was told it would all be fixed for us so we put a deposit down, a week later they call say its all done so we go and pick it up, check it and pay remaining amount. All well for 2 days then the electric windows stop working which was one of the original faults. So call up the garage and they come and pick it up. Another week passes told again it has been fixed so they arrange to drop the car off at my work, basically could hear them a mile off the car sounded terrible and was followed by a cloud of smoke. Basically told them to take it back again and fix whatever is wrong again. This takes them two weeks to find the fault which funnily enough they didn't say what it was exactly but that they had fixed the problem. They drop the car off again all seems fine and the car has been ok till Oct 2012 when we are coming back from holiday lost power sounded terrible and smoke was coming out of the back basically the same fault of what they were supposed to have fixed. We managed to get the car home and called the rac out and they said they couldn't find a fault and for some reason when i started the car it was fine again. This happened again 3 times on and off, we changed the oil keeping it topped up every time and seemed to help the problem. Jan 2013 going into London car started losing power again massive cloud of smoke had to stop the car called the rac out again, couldn't find a fault so got towed home and called the supposedly fantastic warranty we had been sold by the web car site and the time of sale of the car. Put the car into Halfords Service centre which we were told to do by the warranty and after 3 days told the turbo had gone, not too worried as covered by warranty, took another week to be told by the warranty people that we were not covered as we had starved the turbo of oil. This obviously took us by surprise as we had made a point of checking the oil often because of the problem, we told them this and they said maybe it was another problem with the car that the oil wasn't getting to the turbo but it was down to us to go back to the garage we got it from. Have done that they are now basically telling us its down to us even though we have had the car less than 6 months when it broke down and all this has come from the same fault it had when The Web car site was meant to have fixed it. We are now asking for all the paperwork which they seem to be refusing to give us regarding the faults and repairs which have taken place on the car and saying its not there problem even though last week they said they would help us out if the warranty people wouldn't, totally gone back on that now and attitude has changed to hostile...what a surprise. And the electric windows still don't work properly.

Similarly to beenrippedoff's post, I purchased a Mitsubishi Shogun on 27/6 after agreeing a price with the agreement of Web Car Site's (WCS) for them to have a full service done, MOT, a/c service & gas, repair/replace tension belts and repair/replace back brake pads and disks. These repairs were exposed by my AA Inspection. Two weeks later I was contacted saying work had been completed. Picked up car and paid, but when asked for bills proving work had been completed as agreed, was told that he was waiting for the bills from the repair shop and that he would send them to me. I accepted this, trusting him and WCS in general. The car had NOT been valeted. There was no mention of the alleged 3 month warranty with every car. This vehicle had no Service History, despite the advert saying the opposite. To date no documents have been received and I have no proof that any of the agreed work has ever been carried out. I only received an MOT certificate which is probably questionable, as there are no comments from the examining engineer. Subsequent phone calls have only resulted in stalling from him and his cohorts. Wrote a letter to WCS on 21/7..No response! I am now starting legal proceedings to retrieve estimated costs of the repairs and legal costs, as it seems clear that none of the work has been done and I've no idea when the last service on this vehicle took place. As for the car itself, it is driving okay, however I have a trip to Brecon, Wales (from London) coming up 7/8 so we shall see.

I cant believe these comments I found the web car site so helpful, really sorry you had a bad experience but I am sure you were just very unlucky these people cant do enough for you

beenrippedoff1972

Forgot to add we were sold the warranty at the same time as the car and the example give to us by the salesman of how good it was, "is peace of mind if something big like the turbo goes on it, thats a big job and the warranty will cover all this for you".....what a joke!!

I Have Recently Purchased A Car Through The Car We

I have recently purchased a car through the car web site. I write this review in attempt that others do not share my fate when dealing with this company / owner. I arrived and test drove a car, it appeared to be in good working order, but soon after purchasing developed a major fault. I was advised to take the car to a garage and pay for any repair needed. This I duly did, it then took me no less than ten phones calls to get my promised money back!! And even then was not paid if full. I can honestly say this car dealer needs investigating and am now considering forwarding my case to trading standards.

Hi there, the exact same thing happened to me, I bought a peugeot from him and then things started to go wrong, not only was he abusive on the phone and aggressive, in order to get the money for the works I had to threaten to sue! even then I ended up sharing the cost of repair in order to come to a conclusion, one of the worst experiences ive ever had, and would never ever ever buy from him again, COWBOYS!
