Excellent And Friendly Service
I bought a car over a year ago from this company. I was delighted with the price quoted and the offer to have a long test drive and, to have it independantly checked before purchase, gave me added reassurance.
The car needed some bits and pieces for the MOT which the garage agreed to do and carried out for me at no cost and, i was given the car back with a full tank of diesel.
My personal experience with Tollcross garage was a very pleasant one and I would recommedn them to anyone thinking of buying a car without going to the bigger companies.
Several residents in my area have also purchased cars from Tollcross and they were all delighted with the price and service.

Guys, why are you stitching up your customers?
Yes you have some nice cars on your website and are trying to pretend you’re not like every other used cars dealers BUT…
You get 3 months insurance with every car and offer to extend this at cost, sounds Ok?
Warrantywise cover my car for three months for £160.21 and if SAT NAV is to be covered £187.10 which you would think the dealer would cover as part of the deal on an expensive car!
Anyway, I wanted to extend this for 12 months and without remembering the initial price was told this would now come to £374.20.
Here is what happened… I was told as a favour they would round this up to £400 and they would pay a quarter i.e. £100 as its getting rounded up before they pay their share
you think they are paying more than they have to. So they then offered to take this £100 off of the price to bring it down from £374.20 to £274.20 which I had to pay to extend.
Getting back home and looking over the figures I realise they should have paid at the very least £160.20 but got away with paying only £100,
And I’ve been silly enough to pay for part of the warranty they were providing free.
Don’t let this happen to you, They were very smooth in doing this and definitely made it look like you are benefiting from the deal. YOU ARE NOT!
Hmm, this review has left me somewhat perplexed...
Looking at it from a purely mathematical point:
If a 3 month warranty costs £187.10 (£62.37 per month) and a 12 month warranty costs £374.20 (£31.18 per month) then it’s safe to assume a 6 month warranty is roughly £50 per month and a 9 month warranty is roughly £40 per month.
If you were just to take the dealer's 3 month warranty at the point of sale, it would cost them £187.10. At the end of the 3 months you would need to personally purchase a 9 month warranty for roughly £360 (9x £40) to achieve the same 12 month cover.
The structure of the deal you agreed with them means that they paid £100 and you paid £274.20. This equates to the garage and yourself saving £172.90 in total or £87.10 and (roughly) £85.80 respectively.
They clearly made it "look like you are benefiting from the deal" because you were, by about £85. They also benefited from the deal by £87.10 so they basically split the savings with you 50/50.
