Garbage Dont Buy - Your Bike Will Get Taken They Dont Care

DataTool Trakking was found and removed from my bike within 8 minutes by thieves in a local park who then made off with the bike and left the tracker for me to find in the river.. They called me once, it was 2 am and never called or followed up again, or called the police maybe? Feels like a useless product if it can be found and removed in a park in the middle of the night in minutes, certainly not worth the upfront cost and years of subscriptions,

Horrendous Product, Company & Service

Datatool Alarms are horrendous, dangerous cutting in while riding, very unsafe & eventually locks you out of your motorcycle unable to start. Being left with a bill for a complete rewire to remove it, so I can use my motorcycle! Unable to contact as no response to emails & messages.

Very very poor service. You have been warned ⚠️ save you money & shop elsewhere.

Does Not Work!! You Will Lose Your Bike!!

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

Unfortunately I had to find the hard way that this will not work when you actually need it,

Had my bike stole last Saturday from inside my garage, you’d expect to receive a call as you paid them for that, no one called, no warning, I found out my bike was gone about 5 hours later, the gps is still showing the bike is in my garage but it’s not, cctv caught them taking it away, called datatool and they told me 2 different things about the tracker but none of them could explain why it didn’t work, which shows that their team is not trained and don’t know their product, what they don’t tell you when you purchase the tracker is that you apparently need a full charged battery on your motorbike otherwise it doesn’t work, on the contrary they tell you not to worry because it has a back up battery, another lie, not to mention the that they turn off the alerts if you take your bike to the garage for example (this happened to me) and don’t turn it back on, another thing that I found out when I was moving my bike and I noticed they didn’t call me, so I called them back and they said it was turned off because the bike was in the garage being fixed ps: that was months back, which means my bike was unprotected all that time

This is just the tip of the iceberg, now I find myself with no bike and the service that I paid to have which personally is what used to give me peace of mind doesn’t work

Do a bit more research and you’ll find much better trackers that will actually track your bike at all times, don’t make the same mistake I did, just because they are “big tracking company, reliable” they are not, and your vehicle is not safe

Bag Of Tat

My Huyabusa came with a datatool alarm fitted great at first but some days the bike would play up not run right then last week the alarm wouldn't disarm off the fob today I've ripped the thing out and Been out for a blast wow I've never known this bike to go like it did today my thoughts are the alarm system was acting like a restrictor would I recommend getting an alarm no front and back disc locks on my bike are the way forward

Dont Do It!

I had one 'fitted' by MotoStrada and after 3 rain free months it started to immobilize the engine - whilst riding - hugely dangerous, clearly. Took it to a local dealer who said it was poorly installed. Got that fixed, and a few months later it wouldn't arm itself; so now its just a drain on the battery!

Also, settings have to be done by the shop ie tilt sensitivity etc - This system is too complicated for its own good. I had system 2 for many years with no probs.

Incidentally, the help line wasn't great either, and the warranty doesnt cover installation - So it 'could' be a great product, but fitted by a monkey... Datatool should vet and approve installers.

Useless Rubbish

Irritating, complicated, noisy, pointless, battery draining, poorly designed bit of rubbish.

The only plus point is that it took all of 5 minutes to kill permanently using only a paperclip.

Get a disclock instead. At least they are a good deterrent. A sicklock, even a cheap one will cause a thief a good deal of agro to remove. This thing, is disabled using office stationary and a small screwdriver!

Certainly not worth the cost to have it installed.

If you’re on the market for a good reliable motorcycle alarm system with small waterproof remotes , tilt sensor , battery backup siren and a easy to use override touch key ( yes a touch key which means no stupid pin No`s to remember and then forget lmao ) then the Gemini Cat 1 7854T Alarm System really does the job very well indeed !

• Extremely compact 97 x 68 x 36mm.

• Monocoque nylon housing.

• Waterproof.

• Vibration resistant.

• Unthread able wiring.

• Average current consumption<1mA.

• Dedicated or universal wiring.

• Two self-learning rolling code 2-channel transmitters.

• Emergency electronic override key.

• Transmitter battery charge indicator.

• High power piezoelectric siren.

• High power back-up battery (170 mAh).

• 2 x Engine immobilization 8A relay.

• Digital built-in tilt sensor.

• Output for additional siren or modules.

• Input for additional sensors.

• Ignition key protection.

• Panic function.

• Buzzer during arming/disarming.

• Blinker during arming/disarming and alarm .

• Status LED.

• Emergency override PIN code.

• Manual mode “low consumption” feature.

We have installed 100`s of these systems and to be honest all bike alarms should be designed this way as Gemini really have thought alot about designing this alarm and made a well-made bike alarm that simply works !Thank you….MaxsoundCarAudio Uk

Good, Until It Fails

Like all electronic products, it'll fail eventually.

With every motorcycle alarm I've known, this happens before the bike dies. When mine went wrong, the only solution was to remove (and bin) it. It wasn't easy, because it had been well installed (I still haven't got the rest of the wiring 100% back). Fortunately, I was at home and had another vehicle to use.

The user interface could be greatly improved, I didn't get on with the whole "to put it into [less irritating] mode...with the alarm fully deactivated by...and the ignition on...hold both buttons down for...seconds..."

It does what it's supposed to do, stops the bike working and makes a loud noise occasionally. But it died on me, with no warning. No problems before, used the night before, second start attempt that morning and the immobilizer kicks in. The bike never to turn over, or spark again (until alarm was removed).
