The Cyclone Alarm Is Rock Solid, Especially The Se

The CYCLONE alarm is rock solid, especially the sensors. The manufacturer's commitment to "no false alarms" rings true in this bike system. Other bike alarms tried in the past stopped working over time because they weren't built well enough to endure vibrations common to bikes. Not the case with CYCLONE.

Another problem with other systems I've tried is current consumption. Bike batteries are smaller than cars, and are more sensitive to high power add-ons like alarms. Other alarms I've tested were low power, but many needed sensors were external options, which added to the cost, and boosted average current consumption to well over 15mA. With Cyclone, all the sensors I wanted were already built-in.

Build quality is very good, and the compact sizes makes it easy to install, even within a cramped Harley seat. Wiring is straightforward and very easy to hookup, thanks to the well-written manual included. The Japanese manufacturer also offers a broad line of quick-connection installation harnesses, although they didn't have my particular bike model, but the included universal harness was simple enough to use.

Highly recommended.

I found this review very helpful. With so many motorcycle alarms out there, you often don't know what you're getting. Cyclone isn't the cheapest alarm I've seen; but then, it's also built better too. Japanese quality is outstanding. You get what you pay for.

How do you turn this alarm off while installing a new battery?

davnick

I installed a new, charged battery and my bike won't start. I connected and disconnected the 866F alarm and it doesn't start either way. What can I do? The remote lights up, but the alarm doesn't sound. I want to ride my bike and save a huge repair bill!
