Great Tent - But......
We bought the 400SE second hand and got a fabulous deal on it with all the extras you could think of. Its been to festivals, family and beach holidays.
To anyone thinking of buying one, I would say go for it but be aware the ground sheet does not zip in, so you will get bugs in the awning, however they don't get into the sleeping area as that is all sealed off.
It takes us over an hour to put up, and longer if you want curtains and roof linings. If you are larger, like me, I'm not sure if two adults (my other half is 16 stone and I'm about the same) would be able to sleep together, we get round it by sleeping with a child each, not ideal.
Other than these couple of issues it is great, the awning is massive, the storage area for things like chairs, windbreak tables and wardrobes when travelling is brilliant.
We have a front storage box which is amazing, we can get our fridge and toilet in there. There is a changing room and a curtain around the kitchen, which means you don't need to look at that all the time.
We also have a sun canopy, as yet we haven't put it up as there is loads of room in the awning and you can have lots of different set ups depending on the weather.
It's light to tow and a very good idea, I think next time I will go for a Trigano for east of putting up.

Come On Lets Face It, If Your Going To Go To The E
Come on lets face it, if your going to go to the expense of buying a trailer tent this is the one you should go for. It's fantastic, yes it takes a little while to put up, yes its a pain to put down when its wet. But... if you expect this and love camping, you will not be disappointed. Two huge double beds, under bed storage, bags of storage in 2 good sized bench lockers, Huge and I mean Huge Awning, which allows space for a table and chairs, different layouts depending on what you want. Fab kitchen and storage, which has its own area and is curtained off so that you don't have to view the kitchen all the time. Masses of space for 6 chairs, wind breaks, Table, wardrobe, kitchen larder, tv, toaster, steamer, you name it we've got it and we still have loads of space I take everything and it all fits and is still light enough for towing with a 1400 car. When its up and all pegged out you are guaranteed to have pride in your tent, we had so many ppl come look and comment on what a fantastic set up we had....
So if your willing to spend and hour putting it up and an 45mins taking it down.... you will not be disappointed FAB FAB FAB
I very nearly bought a Sunncamp trailer tent, and travelled all over looking at the different types, and makes available. Before you decide on Sunncamp, I would check out Cabanon. We have the Stratos DL (which has a kitchen with 2 hobs, grill, sink, cupboards and drawers included). The awning is as big as the Sunncamp, but a much thicker quality fabric, which is also quick drying. It also features a fantastic front porch, wide enough to allow to to cook outside, and sit outdoors, even when it is raining. The awning groundsheet is included, and it is thick grade, not at all flimsy. It zips in to the walls of the awning, making it completely waterproof - no rain or bugs can get in - which makes it not only warm for the colder months, but also an extra sleeping area if required for up to 6 or even 8 people (in addition to the 2 double bedrooms and 2 single underbed pods !)
The Sunncamps are great trailer tents, but for the slight extra in money, do have a look at the Cabanon range - well worth it in my opinion ! (Also a fantastic looking outfit, which takes 2 people 30 mins max to erect, from start to finish !) Hope this helps x
I found this review very helpful because... We are seriously considering purchasing a trailer tent and looked at lots on ebay all saying what came with what. All saying how good their unit was and was nice to get an opinion from here.

We Have Had The Sunncamp400se For Approximately 4
We have had the Sunncamp400se for approximately 4 years and i honestly could not recommend the trailer tent highly enough. This is the 1st review i've ever written about anything but felt my holiday home fitting for my maiden voyage! With 6 kids it can proove difficult to enjoy a budget holiday with ample accomodation for the steps and stairs of ages (2 to 10yrs). Since purchasing we've thoroughly enjoyed 4 holidays across Europe (3wks at a time), many weekend breaks in the west of Ireland and a few mid term excursions to the UK. The space, storage and sleeping arrangements cannot be rivalled in my opinion. We feel like we're camping in style with all the frills in both our sunny and wind ridden destinations. It's easy to store and maintain and holds it's value -unlike many caravans. Hope to be enjoying many more gallavants as the children grow and beyond!

We Have Had Ours For 3 Years,as For It Being Bad I
we have had ours for 3 years,as for it being bad in wet weather we have had no problems,as long as it is erected correctly and not slack ,i have reproofed my sunncamp once,it took 20 minutes with a £5 garden sprayer and the proofer cost about £15.The sunncamp 400 se is absolutely massive and you have 2 comfy double beds up all the time,it averages an hour to set up which isnt as quick as a caravan but you save an hour on a long journey as you pass all the caravans on the way too your destination

Had a great holiday using our Sunncamp trailer tent, but got rid of it after first season as it was a complete nightmare when wet.
