Car Was Nice, But Service Terrible
First the good news hired a VW tigra convertible, was a lovely clean new car as described, no issues with the car,
Unbelievable bad customer service unhelpful rude even slammed the phone down on me when I couldn’t find the area to leave the car in when finished,
I have never been to Gran Canerie airport before it is massive and busy I didn’t even know it had two floor leveles, or how to get to the car parks I asked directions or where they was they didn’t help at all just park in lower level P1 which in the end after an hour of running frustratedly around the airport trying to find their office or the way to the parking P1 area finally found them after another more helpful car rental company told me they was on the floor below right at the end tucked in behind a gate and post, again they just said area P1 go to the end of the road which is so busy and roads leading off in all directions with no sign for P1 as it wasn’t even the same place I picked the car up from, I asked if they could send someone up to come with me to show me where it is as time was getting on and I was getting late for my flight and it was so hot and frustrating they totally refused in a rather rude manner, I said ok I just have to leave the car at the entrance they said no you won’t go park it in our area I said I would if I knew where it was and how to get there, this went on for an hour in the end I just had to start driving all around and finally found another area where there was lots of rental cars it was a different place to where I collected it from baring in mind they didn’t come with me to expand the car on collection of check the vehicle over, just handed me thr keys said lower level 28 so I walked dragging my luggage with me out the building into a multistory car park and went walked nearing to the other end of thr lower level carpark, to row 28 no car I was so hot thirsty I manage to google their phone number and phoned them they said rather directly not row 28 number 28 I am like ???? There is thousands of cars parking on this level alone without numbers only row numbers, I asked for them to show me they said no go to 28 very in politely and certainly unhelpful when their was 3 of them sitting in the office someone could of saved me a lot of unnecessary stress and frustration, the very worst customer service I have ever witnessed, as I said when I collected and worse when I dropped the car off the service girl slammed the phone down on me when I fiannky parked the car up I went to
Hand the keys in she was gone obviously hiding out the way the way, why couldn’t they just sent someone up or had sone sort of printed map of the massive airport and where to park up,

Great Service And Competetive Rates
Have used Auto Reisen Tenerife South for many years enjoying the convenience of picking up and dropping off at the airport with no fuss. Align this with great customer service and good rates and you get a first class service.
I had a 25 hour flight delay and contacted the AutoReisen Tenerife office. With no fuss and sympathetic understanding they simply cancelled the original booking and re-booked me for when the replacement flight eventually got me to my desination (thanks TUI!). Great work AutoReisen and thanks for helping out at a difficult time

Old Car Tyre Blew Out 10 Minutes After Taking Out The Car.
I took out a car in Tenerife south airport. Literally 10 minutes later on the motorway, the tyre blew out ON THE SIDE WALL without me hitting anything. I was with my 2 children in the car I was able to pull over and out my hazard light on despite there being no hard shoulder. I called AutoReisen and told them the situation. They advised ME to change the tyre in myself and take the car to the other airport to get the car replaced. I did so and then I was told I had to pay €90 for a new tyre.
The tyre was quite clearly old and blew out on the side wall. As all I did was leave the airport, it makes it impossible that I scrapped or damaged it on a kerb etc.
AutoReisen are not the company they used to be before Covid. They used to be good.

Great Car Hire Experience!
The easiest, cheapest and most transparent car hire experience I have ever encountered! Absolutely no hidden costs (insurance cover, free second driver..) Very easy pick-up and drop-off experience. The car was not new, but was functional and we had no problems whatsoever. Definitely the way to go!

Avoid Autoreisen
I hired a Citroen C3 from AutoReisen for a week’s holiday on Fuerteventura at a cost of €159.92. Nobody at the collection desk remembered to tell me that the car they’d assigned me wasn’t the model I’d ordered but an ancient jalopy covered in dents, scratches and scuffs with 123,000 on the clock. I can’t say for sure whether it would’ve passed a British MOT but there was quite a lot of ‘play’ in the steering and because the gearbox was shot to pieces, it was difficult to engage any gear with confidence. Fortunately, the traffic was light and the country very open, so I could anticipate well in advance the need to use the spongy brakes. After I’d got used to the car’s idiosyncrasies, the journey to El Cotillo was accomplished without incident. For the next two days I explored the village and the coastal paths near El Cotillo and didn’t try to use the old banger. On my third full day on the island, I filled up with petrol (€58) intending to spend the remaining four days of my holiday exploring the island. On the way back from Corralejo that afternoon, the car developed a fault and I was unable to use it again, although it did make it back to the AutoReisen compound at El Matorral airport with a tank of petrol 7/8ths full.
The staff at the Auto Reisen airport desk didn’t think that I deserved a refund and weren’t inclined to be apologetic or even sympathetic. On my return to England, I tried to persuade AutoReisen to make a partial refund to cover the days when I was unable to use their car and for the petrol I bought them. They wouldn’t budge and there doesn’t seem to be any consumer rights or fair-trading organisation to which you can appeal when you’ve been on the receiving end of this kind of treatment - they know they can get away with it. All I can do is warn others against using them.

Faulty Brakes In Tenerife
I rented a Citroen C3 from July 19 to August 2 2021 in Tenerife. The brake pads were worn out, I could hear the typical sound of it. I could not return or call them that very evening, I was in a hurry, but I tried to call them the next two days - nobody answered their phone or read the messages. After 10 days the brakes finally broke completely, fortunately without consequences, as I was very prudent. When I finally succeeded reaching AutoReisen they sent, indeed, a replacement car. Just a couple of hour wasted, but imagine what could happen on the slopes of that island!
I tried to just post a review to this effect on their website, with all the data for identification (full name, contract number etc.). After 24 hours, it does not show up there - they prefer, of course, the best reviews.
AutoReisen, never again.
I had same experience in Dec 21 to start of Jan 22... Awful cars, awful customer service and they filter reviews on their website.

Extra Charge
Have used Autoriesen 3 times now and always been very please with everthing, however when returning a car on 30/3/19 to fuerterventura airport was charged 10 euros for being 35 minutes late returning the car The only reason for the late return was that I was unable to find any available parking bays in Autoriesens allocated areas I ended up double parking after finding a rep
Mabye next time I will abandon the car in Hertz or Goldcar bays
good job I had allowed plenty of time for the flight

No Car On Artival
Picking up a 7 seater car at the airport to be told there is no car, apparently broken down.. real truth is they sold it too cheap and realised and gave the car to someone else. Go to Fuerteventura 6 times a year, won’t be using autoreisen again. Disgusting, not even a sorry.

Not As Expected. Car In Poor Condition
Expected a larger car than we received. All tyres were very worn, yet legal. Dents and scrapes all round. Lack of power, really struggled with any incline. Brake fluid warning light on most of the time, indicating brakes worn out. Air conditioning not very effective.

Great Choice Ever
Hired for 5 days in Fuertaventura got a great deal very easy no hassle got full insurance so didn't worry at all. Sign the paper and drive. Great car and best service. It was my first time and couldn't believe that is all so easy. The biggest advantage is that they guve you free car baby seat whereas other companies charging horrendous money for extra driver car seat and gps !!!! Highly recommend.
