Regularly remind you that Premier Banking is ‘special’ and that managers are there to help especially. Couldn’t even request a bankers reference through them!

Premier Banking Thats A Joke
Terrible bank… been with them 23 years, premier banking customer for whatever difference that makes. Closed our business account with no warning and cleared out the funds. All our direct debits including mortgages have bounced. Spent hours on the phone and nobody is interested. Told them we will be closing all our accounts but even the staff admitted Barclays did not care. Now they want to send a cheque for our account balance in our company name, but we cant cash it as they have closed our account. Told us to open a new business account with them but when we finally got through were told Barclays not opening any at the moment.
May have to take them to court for the return of our money.

A Premier Customer
Ive been a premier customer for over 30 years!.I will be leaving they were amazing truly amazing beleive it or not i could contact my relationship manager & in the next few days money in my account!.
Now however its been ruined you get a relation ship manager but they have no say in anything & all you get is taken to a call center.You cannot obtain money easy at all even thougth i have years of great history with them,the barclays i knew has long gone,dont use them useless!
Terrible Service
I contacted barclays medical assessment team to inform them I had suffered a blip with my health regarding a pre existing condition that had been recorded as accepted. The problem was dealt with by the hospital in a matter of hours. Seven days later I am still waiting for a decision as to whether the insurance company (aviva) will cover me for an upcoming holiday. The cover is part of an annual policy for which I nominally pay £300. Whilst awaiting Barclays (aviva's ) reply I have found cover cheaper. It looks like Barclays will be losing this customer.

Used To Be Very Good
Premier life used to be excellent.
Now they've tried to reduce costs by putting layer upon layer of telephone scripts before you can do anything.
I don't want to know my balance every time in call!!!
The life rewards gadget insurance team are even worse. Use the web, use the web over and over again. I'm then advised I have to have every receipt for every gadget I have or I'm not eligible.
Barely hanging on to Barclays. Am tempted by firs direct.
Travel Service Poor
Initially I was impressed with how the service sounded. I left the search for accommodation in Belgium for 6 of us to them, they made it sound so easy. The reality was quite different. No return calls as promised. Have had to continually chase them without any success. I suspect they have not found accommodation and this has lost me a week during which I could have done it.
Like many things of this type- they hype is different to the reality. I am sure if I wanted an available concert ticket it would be fine, but anything more challenging and they not only come up short, they don't let you know.
Early Days But Very Impressed
2 days after I joined I had a little accident - I called RAC with me within 2 hours - no issues fab service all round.
Couple of weeks later I was prompted to apply for free tickets to RHS Tatton in July - and got them!
Logged on today to find we have free access to English heritage sites.
Finally today bought a new oven and have registered for extened warranty.

Extremely Excellent Service
I went to Germany just yesterday. Unfortunately my car was broken down. I called the brake down helpline. In the first moment I was thinking It will cost me a lot (it was free). After my short conversation the service switched to high speed. After 45 minutes the mechanic was checking my car and he said he can not repair the car, he needs to take to the garage. Friday afternoon no service like this. So I called them again. They arranged a hired car to me to get back to England. But I could not reached the last ferry, therefore they arranged hotel too. I was amazed what they did help me when I was in trouble. They called me regularly during my journey. How I am etc. Today morning just after I got home the phone was ringing and they wanted to know did I get home safely. I would like to say thank you guys very much that was amazing job you did! Especially I would like to say thank you to Samuel who organised everything really professional way. I hope your boss will appreciate your job as I would!! Oh, the five stars are not enough to rate!

Barclays Should Be Banned From Tradıng
I fırst encounted the premıer when ı was asked by a branch assıtant would ı lıke to joın of whıch ı made an appoıntment for the followıng monday whıch ı now thorouly regret.Thıs was ın Aprıl 2011, she explaıned on the monday the varıous benefıts you get wıth the premıer account.The overall monthly cost was competatıve to my exıstıng polıcys more so ı was attracted to the travel and health also the overall buıldıng/contentsso ı decıded to change to theır premıer account. She saıd also that she would do all neccesary cancelatıons of my exıstıng polıcy and ıf they charged me any cancelatıon fees barclays would reımburse my account.Regardıng the
health polıcy ı stated that ı have several health ıssues and she told me
all prevıous condıtıons would be excepted.Thıs ımformatıon she gave me ı
found out three months later was totaly wrong when ı was admıtted to hospıtal ın turkey.It took several phone calls at great cost to speak to
the correct ıns/company only to be told ı was not ınsured because my prevıous health hıstory had not been gıven of whıch was completely
dıfferent to what she told me,they dıd accept lıabılıty and paıd eventually.Then yesterday we woke up ın the mornıng only to fınd the water tank had burst causıng a great deal of damage to our property.After many phone calls of whıch one took 57 mıns they told me that as from 1st september they had cancelled the home S O S benefeıt from the premıer polıcy thıs leavıng me only able to claım for damage not as my polıcy to ınclude my tank and pıpeworks etc.They saıd that they had sent letters to all polıcy holders ımformıng of thıs change to the premıer polıcy.I ımformed them that ı had not receıved any letters from there company regardıng thıs ıssue.they then stated that ıt was my responcıbılty to take thıs up wıth the royal maıl. My reply to thıs was had ı known i would not be phonıng them now and ı would have taken out alternatıve ınsurance and that ıt was Barclays responcıbılıty to make sure there maıl ıs delıvered and all polıcy holders are ımformed correctly.THIS IS ANOTHER

Wait Until You Need To Use The 'premier' Perks....
Having been a premier account holder for years, and never particularly used the extra perks, this month I have 2 real complaints.
The Airport Lounge
A charge for £30 was taken from my account, without authorisation, 5 months after I visited a lounge in Turkey after the staff member there specifically agreeing that my 2 children would not be charged for. I have so far had 6 conversations with different staff to try to sort this out. Still ongoing, but it seems it's my word against the Turkish staff. Not impressed.
Gadget Insurance
Needed to call on this for the 1st time in 4 years when daughters I Touch broke at home. All paperwork, reciepts provided as it was registered upon purchase, but this week discover that as the claim was lodged just outside of the 48 hours in aparant terms and conditions (which I've never seen) they will not pay out.
Not feeling very Premier.
