Port Solent In Portsmouth Is One Of The South Coas
Port Solent in Portsmouth is one of the south coast's major leisure attractions. In amongst the Marina and shops you can find Olivo's.
Olivo's Italian restaurant is good for sampling the delights of authentic Italian cuisine. Situated on the marina, Olivo's - Italian owned and run, offers traditional Italian food cooked by Italians; they guarantee authenticity. In good weather conditions they have a large area of outside seating, looking out over the marina and the expensive boats that are moored there.
The chefs make some of their favourite recipes, handed down over the years, with everything freshly made to order. They are so flexible that you can let them know your requirements, and they will try to get it organised for you.
Their pizza - with a great choice, running from Vulcano, to Giardino, is made in the traditional Italian way and baked in a 'stone based' oven to maintain the authentic taste.
The selection of homemade pasta is wide, but they offer much more than just pizza and pasta, as their steaks are well renowned, especially the house special sirloin done in Barolo wine.
The average cost per head of a night time is around £25, with house wine starting from £12.50 or so. Children are welcome and there is a no smoking area. (The restaurant is air conditioned). It is best to book a table in advance rather than turning up on the off chance of getting a table.
There is also a fixed price lunchtime table d'hote menu from £4.50 a head.
