Tiger Car Rental Robbed Me Of $800

I'd never heard of Tiger but in trying to save my family some money I took a chance and booked a car rental online from them for pick up in Sicily. WHAT A DISASTER!!! For starters, the car was dirty and extremely banged up. I looked over the paper work and discovered Tiger had charged me numerous fees. I was outraged, especially given that they had heavily advertised "no hidden fees!." What liars!!! I told the agent I would take the car but only pay what Tiger had told me would be my total fee. The agent warned me Tiger was not an American company and might hold me accountable regardless of the written agreement. I took the car and returned two days later to discover Tiger had gone ahead and overcharged me. I told them to cancel the rental and take back the car. I fought for two years and eventually gave up. I paid more than $800 for just two days of rental. I made countless phone calls and sent numerous emails but they kept my money. Tiger is totally unscrupulous and should be avoided at all costs. Trust me, they are the biggest rip offs in the car rental business. BEWARE, STAY AWAY!!!

I Rented A Car Through Tiger Car Rental For Pick U

I rented a car through Tiger Car Rental for pick up in Italy. Tiger's website promised all inclusive rates, collision damage waiver insurance, and no hidden extra fees. I paid in full 588 Euro for 20 days. 2 days into the rental the Italian agent informed me that she had discovered my car did not have any collision coverage. I showed her my rental voucher and the Tiger website with its promises. She said Tiger had lied to me. She said I had to pay 200 additional Euro or return the car. I called and emailed Tiger's customer service department requesting assistance and they never responded. Refusing to be charged for another 200 Euro and with no help from Tiger's customer service center, I returned the car. I had the car for just 2 days. Tiger refused to refund the 18 unused days. They made all kinds of excuses. Even after they received credit for the 18 unused days from the Italian provider, Tiger still kept my money. Tiger Car Rental is not to be trusted. Stick with a reputable company like AVIS or Hertz. You'll regret it if you go with Tiger Car Rental

Upon Arrival At The Budget Counter At The Vr Airpo

Upon arrival at the Budget counter at the VR airport, I was told no vehicles had chains or winter tires. This was in Dec/09. There was a MAJOR snow/ice storm/situation which had been on-going for several days. THe RCMP was not allowing anyone through the mountain passes without chains and/or snow tires. Since Budget did not have either, and because I had booked through 'a broker' (Tiger), Budget would NOT allow me to transfer my pre-paid booking to Kamloops. I spoke to their Cust. Service people on the phone. They would not budge on this. I was told had I booked direct through Budget, it would not be a problem. I walked away and lost my money. No one from Budget nor Tiger would do ANYTHING to assist. I swore I would NOT book with either company again. Absolutely NO customer service from either one, if things go awry. This was the 2nd time I had booked, (The 1st being the previous summer) and I had issues the first time as well. Doesn't pay to book through Tiger.

Terrible Company, We Had Problems Getting The Size

Terrible company, we had problems getting the size of car we had orderd and emailed them. They did not answer for three days and by the time the weekend was over. This ruined our weekend FOUR adults in a tiny little car, the hire company should have upgraded us if they did not have the size we ordered. Loads of promises of a partial refund but it never happened. I would NEVER use Tiger Car Rental again and wished I had seen the other reviews before booking a car through them.

Picked Up This Car And Was Told It Did Not Have A

Picked up this car and was told it did not have a full tank and to return it with the needle at the same level. The needle was at about 7/8 and there is no way that I could know how much would set it at that level. So I had to fill it up which menat i was paying for more fuel than I used. I bet the next person also got a car without a full tank. Complained to Tiger and they promised a £25 voucher. Here we are 6 weeks later, no voucher and no reply from Tiger about their poor service and broken promises.

Gave Tiger Car Rental my credit card details for a car hire in mahon. They mailed back some time later saying the car wasn't available. No other options were give (ie bigger or smaller car). By the time I had given up on them, my alternate agency didn't have cars neither

Went To Northern Spain Last Year For A Family Wedd

Went to Northern Spain last year for a family wedding. There were 7 of us and as my wife and I drive automatics, I scoured the internet for an automatic MPV. Tiger offered a Chrysler Voyager, through Avis, and took the money and booking. Arrived at Asturias Airport to find a Seat Alhambra, not only much smaller than a Voyager, but a manual. At the airport Avis shrugged their shoulders. Phoned Tiger who appeared very concerned and said nice things and promised refunds, but did nothing. Had to squeeze everyone in and, after 20 years, learn to drive a manual again. Came home and complained and was offered what they said was the difference between the Alhambra and the Voyager. As it was after the event, I have no way of checking thier figures. Also pointed out that I had only used them because they promised an automatic, and I could have hired an Alhambra through the airline's partner (Hertz) for considerably less than they were quoted. Nothing - all they could say was that the problem was with Avis, but as my contract was with Tiger, Avis didn't want to know - they did offer me a discounted weekend's hire of a Fiesta in the UK, which isn't a lot of use with a family of 7.

Picked Car Up In Venice And Dropped It Off In Sorr

Picked car up in Venice and dropped it off in Sorrento. Needed car for an extra day and phoned to ask if this was possible. No problems they confirmed it immediately. The car was picked up through Avis and deposited back to Avis. I would have no trouble in using Tiger Car Rentals again. In fact I have just booked again in South Africa.

I Just Made A Reservation And They Have My Pick-up

I just made a reservation and they have my pick-up location in a totally different city! I hope they can fix it, for now the phone number is a bunch of incomprehensible numbers I can't dial and there are no other contacts for them beside e-mail.

I am not sure this was worth the stress.
