Non-existent Service - This Is Not An Insurance Company
If you want to be charged 58% more than the previous year for no reason and then have to wait nearly 1.5 hours on hold each time you wont to speak to them then this is the company for you.
They do absolutely nothing, have hardly any staff and when you finally do get through, you'll likely to get the most cold and rude person you'll ever have the displeasure to deal with.
I cannot think of any worse company. In fact, they are not a company as they are just an 'entity' of nothing that takes your money and does nothing.

Worst Underwriter Ever Nig
My van insurance is with NIG Insurance unfortunately, I had a none fault claim 2nd August 2023 so I made a claim and was sent a portal to upload photos-videos- and details.
I heard nothing for some time so I contacted NIG several times without any success. I searched the internet and found a contact number for an area manger so I made contact on Wednesday 15th November and he answered the second time of calling. He took all my details and said he would contact the correct department and update me. After no call back I rand and tact the filling day, but no answer and no call back as yet. I gave been without my vehicle for 7 weeks now and the excess has still not been sorted out morning I have to pay £400 and claim it back. With the lack of service I have received I’m not optimistic.
NUG Insurance is the worst company I have ever dealt with, and I should know as I’m an insurance surveyor.
Score for NIG Insurance 0 out of 10 same.
If you think their motor insurance is bad, you should see the appalling service offered by their commercial property arm definitely-1*

THE ONLY reason I insure is because its a legal requirement much better to take responsibility and avoid feeding these parasites

Non Fault Claim And Left Out Of Pocket
Non fault claim with loads of evidence inc dashcam footage
Yet I am left without my excess,a payout that means I am can’t even replace the vehicle and now told my cheque is in the post 2nd class a week before Xmas.i have contacted a solicitor due to this as non fault yet left out of pocket.
Utterly Awful.
These are without doubt the worst insurance company that I have ever had to deal with.
We had a fire at our small car repair business. four and a half months later we are still waiting for them to pay out on our claim.
Please avoid using them at all costs.

No Hope!
I had a crash in May 2014 a driver insured with NIG drove into me it was totally his fault, had to pay to get my car fixed in order to get a courtesy car, it's now Jan 2015 and my insurance is still trying to get my money back after a very long liability debate including my witness, it's like trying to get blood from a stone!!

Stolen Land Rover
Nig (no insurance guaranteed) we were going on holiday, we drove to a friends house nearer the airport and left the car there. On the first night of us being away our discovery was stolen. Because a friend ( who was comprehensively insured themselves) had used the car to drop us off, nig said that the car was not in our posestion and was therefore not covered, and so did not pay out. We were robbed by two villains !! Customers beware!!

I took my my BMW to a garage after the first garage went bust and i had to get my car back through the official receiver. While my car was at the second garage. They left my car outside unlocked and as a result it was vandalised.
The garage have made it as difficult to blame me and tell NIG Commercial Claims about my past and saying that i had something to do with it.
NIG have since Feb 2012 have left me with my bmw in bits, the damage is in excess of 12k, they have offered 3K.
I was placed under investigation once, and they agreed nothing was amiss, now I'm told that I'm under a second investigation. They won't tell me anything.
Directly i have had to sell my modified van to pay to have my car repaired and also racked up a 7k legal bill instructing a Solicitor to deal with.
NIG have treated me like scum and continue to suspect me, even when i said lets go to the Police. I wish someone would drop a bomb on there building as they have destroyed my life over past 7 months and made me feel ill.
