Horrific Experience
Had a woman in her car blown into me during severe winds in January 2023. She admitted it was her "fault" as the wind caught her as I was passing her.
Susequently she changed her story saying I swerved into her to avoid a park car . I didnt know it was possible to swerve at around 3 - 5 mph having just moved off from traffic lights !
Anyway, here we are still awaiting any form of progress. Ive had all the excuses off Markerstudy after what 2 letters and what must be around 20 phone calls to them (probably more)
if I hear the phrase " it is due for review " again I'm going to scream.
In fact as I write this Ive been waiting near 20 minutes, having already been cut off 3 times today, to get through to them ( 45 mins isnt unusual ). This after yet again being promised a return call last week with the matter resolved. That didnt happen obviously once again.
Apparently , it is difficult for them as the other Party is insured with their sister Company . Really, then why was it so hard to get any replies from them as was Markerstudys assertion for over a year.
Im sure they are not the only insurance Company to have this problem yet seem totally incapable of handling it.
Ive indicated on numerous occasions i was willing to go to Court .

I have seen similar reviews since my problems started and hope my advice helps others
They have changed there name 3 times since trading started and do not honour the contract they write
Now seeking legal advice but will update weekly in all media sites
Do not trust them with your policy they are charlatans and will soon be in Court
I welcome any feedback and can provide the nsurance ombudsman daming report of them

Diabolical Claims Service
• Markerstudy Insurance delayed a non-fault accident claim for a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) by 14+days through incompetence.
• After that delay, Markerstudy refused to acknowledge that the policy holder was unable to undertake a 30 mile round trip for a visual inspection by their approved repairer, Steer Automotive.
• Markerstudy took 7 weeks to respond to a complaint, in that response they apportioned the blame for the insistance of a visual inspection at Steer Automative's door. Furthermore they have (in writing) stated that it is not in Steer Automotive's policy to offer such a service.
• Steer Automotive have responded (verbally) that they dispute what Markerstudy have said and that Markerstudy did not alert them to the needs of the policy holder.
• I am awaiting written evidence from Steer Automotive to establish if Markerstudy have or have not reported the facts correctly.
• Markerstudy are unprofessional in their approach and their claims and complaints staff are bullish, unhelpful and unsympathetic.
• Markerstudy have been reported to the Financial Ombudsman and the case is being investigated.
I would advise anyone to avoid Markerstudy Insurance as they treat their policy holders very poorly.

A fake company they don't have clue, they are to lazy w fight a claim, they would rather pay out rather than take a claim to court,on a separate claim they didn't even tell me that it is still live and my insurance has doubled

Left Low And Wet
31st of October approx 0500 hrs during the floods I ended up in deep floods , not marked and the toad closed an hour or two later by the water board and police .
So before I know I’m in the flooded water pitch black and assumed it was a few metres in length ..was over a 100 metres in length (police and water board were shocking too ) .
Anyway barely got through the water as I was exiting the water I was in 3rd gear , sudddnly high revs then they dropped then went high again and it was like I was now in first gear .
Few metres out the water. And the car stops and unable to select a gear .
Phoned recovery and waited 7 hours .finally got home and phoned my insurance ,who advised me they were just a broker and market study was the underwriter . For the next 3 weeks moved from pillar to post , car booked into a body shop 4 times even though it clearly states clutch and gearbox .
After 3 weeks they send an assessor out and he says clutch and gear box has signs of wear and tear and not in his opinion caused by the floods .
Well unless brand new all clutches show signs of wear and tear and my car was driving fine when I entered the water and stopped when I barely got out .
You phone and your waiting 10/15 minutes to get answered , you answer questions then they put you onto an automated line ,where you now answer questions you just answered ….
Then if your lucky you get an employee who if your lucky English is a 2nd language .
Worst customer service ever , worst call centres and staff and just a written company ..please avoid .
I’ve been left with the bill …
Why pay insurance when in time of needing to make a claim ,they treat you with contempt .

This insurance company booked my car in for repairs and when returned to me there was damage to the paintwork that was not there on collection of my vehicle. Despite clear evidence of this they are refusing to resolve the issue and we are now seeking legal advice. Avoid this insurance company!

Tried to write off my car (2017 model) for a bumper scratch by email without even reviewing the car. Total bunch of charlatans & scoundrels. Took them three months after reporting a third party damaging my car to get to this stage.
The way they treat people is unbelievable. I have never experienced an insurance company like this before.

Absolute Joke Of A Company!
I called them after a van clipped my wing mirror back in May. Despite telling the representative that I wanted to claim against the van's driver, and that I had to replace my mirror immediately to keep my car legal, they hung up on me, and logged my claim as notification only, which I only discovered upon renewal.
Trying to call them today, first time the phone is answered the person on the other end sings a couple of lines of a song at me, then hangs up. I call back, they claim to be transferring me, a minute of music, then a painfully loud tone plays constantly over the line and it eventually hangs up again!
Fortunately I am still in the cooling-off period of my renewal, so I will be seeking an alternative insurer, even if it costs more. Also reporting to the Ombudsman.
Avoid this company at all costs. I was placed with them by Adrian Flux and, while its not their fault, I would insist on not being insured by Markerstudy, if you use AF as an agent.

Awful And Immoral Company- Should Be Investigated
Awful and immoral company- should be investigated by financial regulators. Their client drove his car into and totalled our car (which we only brought in January of this year). Despite their client taking full responsibility for the accident, we were cornered into accepting an offer which was absolutely immoral and unfair- it has not given us the ability to purchase a car of equal standing. So despite the accident being no fault of our own, we have completely lost out. They work with a company called VRG- we weren’t clear on what their responsibilities were and there was a lot of confusion as both parties provided us with conflicting information. The representative we spoke to at VRG was absolutely awful to us - showed no compassion and was very rude on the call (laughed at our stressful/upsetting situation) and did absolutely nothing to help. His manager clearly listened to the call and called us to apologise, but it should have never happened in the first place. We are disgusted by this whole experience and treatment, we will be reporting to the FCA and Financial Ombudsman.

Appalling customer service! There should be a zero star option because there's nothing to warrent even a single star. Markerstudy are a joke!
I had an accident on 1st August, my fault, minor headlight broken, and some bumper damage. Had a generic email from Markerstudy on 2nd August. And then nothing. I contacted Lloyds Car Insurance, who I insured my car with. They provided helped me with a courtesy car as I was concerned driving mine could be dangerous. I asked them why I hadn't heard from Markerstudy, and was told "no news is good news" which isn't helpful.
I have tried a dozen times to call Markerstudy for an update, on hold for 15+ miniutes at a time, where I either had to end the call as I had no time left to waste, or it just cut off. Once I made it to 28 minutes and it cut off. What a joke company.
Finally today, 21 days after the accident I call Lloyds and ask them what's going on. They then put me through to Markerstudy! I'd laugh if it wasn't so infuriating. I spoke to a human. Shocking right? He then put me on hold to "go find out what the update is" which is bonkers. Why can't he just tell me? Where has he had to go? Who does he need to speak to? Why can't he just tell me? Are they all taking turns using the one screen and keyboard? Or has he just popped out for some lunch, a game of golf and a leisurly poo?
As I write this I've been on hold almost 38 minutes. These moronic cretins simply do not care about their customers. A word of warning for all other drivers - before you buy car insurance first check which underwriter they use, because if it's them, don't waste your time.

Could you please tell me if they accept motor trade NCD on a private car? I'm leaving the motor trade and need to insure my own car using the motor trade no claims bonus.
Can anybody give any experience with ‘markerstudy’ been the insurance of the person who caused the accident? My accident happened over 2 years ago and we are now in the process of going to Court, they paid out for the car and my passenger but haven’t paid me out, only an interim payment.
My solicitors are baffled.
Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me. My insurance company markerstudy has informed me they have made my claim void. My car was stolen of my drive around christmas time. They have refused to pay me out because when I renewed my policy I forgot to tell them I was made redundant and my job status as changed to unemplyed and because of this they have void my claim. Apparently markerstudy wouldn't have insurance me because apparently they dont ensure unemplyed people. I'm so upset with this and really dont know what to do. Has this happened to anyone else? Just so I can have a piece of mind and hopefully fight my case with the ombudsman. Thank you in advance.
According to telephone conversation at 9th May 2015 Market Study promise me to fix my claim with solicitor to the end of May 2015.
Now at 19/07/2015 and I still did not get any papers /information.
I would like to know who control this procedure at Market Study and who control insurance company like Market Car Insurance?
Good luck, my daughter had an accident with a lady insured with markerstudy in April 2014. The lady was at fault but our insurance company had no look in getting in touch with markerstudy, they had to use their solicitors & even then it wasn't settled until September. They are a nightmare !!!
