Found The Hurdles by accident driving around as have a weekend place in Hampshire and not found a great pub to have lunch in yet... now found it!Traditional Sunday roast of beef was fresh and tender, my girlfriend had the ham and pea risotto which was lovely too.

Might be an idea to put a little map on the back of calling card as The Hurdles oin Droxford can be a bit difficult to find if dark and unfamiliar with the area.

The Hurdles in Soberton offers smart dining in a relaxed country atmosphere. It's easy to find on the B2153, off the A32 north of Droxford.
Starters £5 - £6 each, mains £8 - £14, puds £4 - £6, and even better - you can see the menus on the website www.thehurdles.co.uk - and they do light lunches also. There is a good selection of wines at pub-average prices.
The staff knew the specifics about the menu items, and were well directed.
Portion sizes just right and very tasty.
Service was perfectly timed, even on a busy Saturday evening just before Christmas.
Plenty of free parking.
OK for the disabled.
Family friendly.
Booking recommended, as it's popular.
Good for lunch at the weekend if you're walking along the Meon Valley railway line, a celebration or any time.
