The Spice Room, Rising Bridge, Haslingden, Lancashire

My experience was a nightmare. Truly have never come across such perverted front of house staff. It made me cringe when the waiters kept on looking at my cleavage instead of looking at my face. I hated the fact that every time I turned they would be a group of waiters giggling to each other and chatting in their language. Me and my daughter were approached every five minutes. It wasnt a peaceful meal at all with the constant oggling. The decco looked as if it was never touched ever since the previous owners ran it as a pub. The food was very bland and the desserts were still frozen. NOT WELCOMING, NOT NICE, NOT RECOMMENDING AND CERTAINLY NOT POLITE. I WILL BE STICKING TO NILA AND ASHOKA FROM NOW ON. Want some advice? Return it as a pub!

As soon as you walk in there is an great atmosphere. The wators were so kind, helpful and polite as soon as you walked in. There is an comfortable cosy longue with space for small and big groups, it is pritave so you an have your own conversations. At the louge you order your drinks and then order your meal while you have your drinks. There is an English seclection of dishes avalible in full or half portsions Once you had ordered a wator would take yur drinks to a table and you would wait for your meal. The meals came quickly and so did everyone elses in the resturant. The starts are amazing especially the onion bargis! When the main came couldnt stop saying how good it was. It was so wonderful we had to take the left overs home! Once we had finished the main course the wators brought use a dessert menu and drinks menu and wet wipes in fanvy packets!The desserts came and drinks came! and then we paid it came to a reasonable price! The wator took good care of us always made sure we were happy but didnt come to often so we could enjoy our meal. There was a good atmosphere in the resturant because of the indian music, and modern and traditional decorations. We are all very happy as will go again in the future!

Even my two year old loves it!!! Food lovely staff very polite and friendly.

Me and my husband love going out for dinner at the weekend and this restaurant is always a fantastic night out!

After trying lots of different dishes on the menu - I can recommend the tandori mixed meat dish which comes out sizzling with a seperate serving of a sauce - I love their samba sauce! it comes with a side salad so although its a huge portion its not too filling as you don't need the rice!

The service is fantastic from all the staff and the drinks are nice with nice bottles of wine available (which is unusual for an Indian!)

Although its a large restaurant, there's lots of corners and differnt levels so you're never sat too near other tables!

It's our twentieth anniversary and I've want to go to the Spice Rooms for some time. The food, service and the atmosphere was excellent. I and planning to take my family there in a couple of weeks. I would highly recommend this Indian restaurant.

Today being xmas day booked meal for 5 adults 3 children ordered 4 xmas dinners of which were cold also the small portions for a 2 and 3 year old were huge with large chunks of turkey not sliced and cold the rest of us had curry of which was just look warm we mentioned to waiter but wasnt that bothered my daughter suggested eating here as she as eaten here regularly and enjoyed it it totaly spoilt our day as we had brought along my mother of 84 years who had been poorly and had brought her out to get together with family agian totaly dissapointed my daughter felt she had let us down majority of food was wasted dissapionted customer.It was booked in name of rachel

Delicious Indian food with great special offers for midweek dining and there's a really good value for money sunday buffet, too. Staff are smart and efficient and there's a really good atmosphere in the restaurant. lots of local people get takeaways from there, too. Loads of interesting and different chefs specials, too. we take the children a lot, the staff are very friendly.

ive been to the spice rooms many times and have never been let down by their fabulous service and amazing food, i would advise anyone to visit at least once.

Went to the Spice Room with three friends last night. We went on someone else's recommendation. We didn't know until we got there that there was a buy one get one free offer on Mon to Thurs. Would probably have gone sooner if we knew this. The service was great and the waiters we really friendly and easy to chat to. Our food was plentiful and tasty and the beer was lovely and cold. The dishes on the special menu were especially nice looking. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Plenty of parking. Clean toilets.

We regularly travel from Rochdale to The Spice Room as the food ,staff and service has always been of the highest standard. The food tastes absolutely fantastic, take my word for it, you cannot fault it in any way.
