Avoid This Shambolic Company
We are a rental company, easicampers, and we rent out motorhomes. We put a Ford motorhome into these people in SEPTEMBER 2018. This was involved in an accident and has electrical problems. They still have it and cannot fix it. It went in with an adblue light on. We have lost 12 months rental on this motorhome. We ring them daily. We get the run around daily. Every excuse under the sun. It's a disaster. We need to go legal now to get our motorhome back. The dealer principal won't come to the phone, every excuse under the sun. The are incompetent. Avoid like the plague.

Warranty
Not worth the paper is written don't do it. Bought a used car May 2018 started to leak from hood.... 4 inches of water in boot well caused damage on battery. They didn't want to know as said I wasn't covered. Wanted £105.00 to open boot lid to look inside. Rude staff!! Would never ever recommend buying a car from them. They were so unconcerned. Told me when I took out warranty the only thing not covered on it were tyres and exhaust. They will do anything for a sale!!!!!!!!!

Absolute Rubbish!
CAUTION! VERY POOR QUALITY USED CARS AND SUSPECT SALES PRACTICES!
I found a couple of sub £3000 cars on thier website and travelled miles to Preston to view. I was pointed to thier 'Runabouts' section and had a look. The Salesman was friendly enough but I was shocked by how poorly presented, and indeed how poor 'full stop' the cars were. To be honest, some of the cars offered for sale were absolute rubbish. Some had significant panel damage, and almost all I looked at had paint damage/defects of some description. All were dirty too, some filthy, which added insult to injury. It is also amazing some of the cars had MOT's as I looked at one that had badly corroded discs and another that had tyres right on the legal limit.
But it gets worst, much worse....
They pretend they have never heard of the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which protects buyers from buying wrecks for 6 months from the date of purchase. Yes I did say 6 months!
I was told by the salesman that his 'runabout section' used cars have a '30 day warranty' and that is only for the engine block and gearbox! That is absolute BS. It is so much BS in fact that I actually considered emailing Trading Standards to report them, and I still might.
But there's more..........
Apparently the screen price is the starting price, and they add £99 'admin fee' to it for the 'privilage' of you buying from them!!!
Never in my life have I come accross a price that goes up when yoy want to buy. That is a joke, and the joke is on you if you pay it.
Also if you want a warranty to cover the period you are already covered for under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (6 months!) they want hundreds more from you!!!!!! You are already covered, you are paying insurance for them if you pay that!!!
IT PAYS TO KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.
IT ALSO PAYS TO KNOW WHEN TO WALK AWAY FROM A DEALERSHIP THAT TREATS ITS 'BUDGET' CUSTOMERS LIKE MUGS AND SELLS POOR QUALITY CARS THAT ARE NOT EVEN CLEANED PROPERLY AND DETAILED.

Lazy And Impolite
I called twice enquiring about a car and both times the phone rang out to the sales department and I was told that nobody was available. I was assured that somebody would ring me back but they never did. I saw that the car I was ringing about had sold later that week...they do not care about customers at all, just themselves.

Complete Deception & Rip Off
We bought a car last year from Evans Halshaw at the docks in Preston. They first of all got me down there saying they had a car I wanted within my price range. When we got there, it was £700 more but they said they could work out the HP to suite our budget. When I saw the price on his PC, it was another £150 more than the sign in the car on the forecourt !! I took the sign in and asked why it was more on his PC - he said the price had gone up !! and they price match and that was why !! Why or Why did I not walk out... and when we sat there for a while trying to get the HP figures within our budget, the financial adviser came over, told us sternly that it was a good offer and we should take it !! I cant believe we were treated like that when spending over 13K.
After getting the car, which had to be before the end of the month to suit the salesmans commission figures and not to suit us, we had a problem with the car. We rang and could not get the car looked at by their garage for 2 weeks !!! Turns out, we had 2 square wheels and we could only travel about 40mph up and down the motorway seeing my elderley dad in hospital in Bolton.
I have previouly bought my cars from Motorpoint and had no problem at all, and that where I shall be going in future.
Its over a year since we bought the car and I am still angry about the way they did their sales. I wont be stepping in there again, and I will ward everyone I can who is thinking of buying from there.

Shocking Is The Only Word That Describes!!! N
Took my 2003 focus for a clutch replacement under warranty.first I had to explain to the service department how warranty works,as I run my own garage and have been in the job over twenty years, they were clueless !
The problem was a leaking clutch slave cylinder which they said they replaced and the workshop controller told me they would clean the clutch up and re install,I was not happy or confident with there work ethicist after having the vehicle two weeks I picked up the car and saw the under tray hanging down,I told them to fix this and I would return in the morning.
I picked up the car in the morning and found the headlamp and rear back window covered in oil,I took my car away and drove as far as kirkham and broke down having no gears,I rang them and they said I would have to bring car back my self and they would access the problem to see if they have caused the problem???? This is a joke nobody cares and the service is zero, i rang my recovery driver and recovered back to my garage,as I will repair the vehicle my self as I don't want them idiots causing more problems,I have owned the vehicle 11 years and this is the first time I have broken down can't believe its in these circumstances, I will be wring to ford shortly,
Covering Up Complete Wrecks
I phoned and made an appointment to view a c-max currently on sale on there website with great pictures and video , travelled 2hrs very excited and when I got there the car was scratched with 2 tram lines running the whole surface round the vehicle , the back bumper had been dinged and wasn't sitting straight , there were 2 bad dints on either side and the interior looked like a family had been living in it for a few years , the colour was dull , not gleaming like the pics ,the salesman had written on the window various amounts , ie valet £30 , respray £100 , and other things amounting to £300 , he told me thats what they are going to put into the vehicle for my benefit and at no extra cost shocking ,just be careful because if the rest of the cars have been in accidents there covering up some wrecks , hang your heads in shame ,my dad always said you can't polish a poo ,but they've got the hang of it , buyers beware

They Sell Accident Damaged Cars, & Have Rude Salesmen
I've just purchased a 3.5 year old astra sport hatch that has a full service history and initially ooed well looked after. After collecting it I had a good look around after being told the bodywork is in good condition, only to see that the passenger side door and rear quarter panel has been resprayed badly, leaving overspray on the front wing and all inside the passenger door sill. I should have noticed it myself but i'm not an expert on bodywork. service light keeps coming on and off and the steering pull violently to the right under moderate braking. I didn't notice this on the test drive as it was through rush hour traffic round the docks. Im going down tomorrow with my partner to have the car looked at, no doubt that they will want to fix it but I don't want it fixing, i want my bloody money back from them. My son who is sharing the car has already taken it back once to ask if it can be looked at on my behalf (I was working saturday this week)to which he was told that he 'isn't a bodywork & paint professional', then to be patronised by the manager who said to my son that he was insinuating that they sell written off cars, not what my son was insinuating in the slightest. Dont be afraid to claim for a full reimbursement if you buy a car that isn't sold as described. Or better yet, just avoid Evans Halshaw Preston.
