I am so upset, I did have a very good hair cut with a stylist But I had the worst experience in my life with the hair color. I came with a light ash brown all over box color which I have explained to the color director and asked for half head lighter balayage. When the whole process finished I couldn’t see any difference at all. It was slightly more red and not even orange. I strongly believe that the bleach was washed off too soon. I much more preferred to how my color looked beforehand. No one at work noticed any difference to my color. I am so upset to have wasted my time and £190. I did call back and have been offered to come back with another person however after having such a bad experience with a color director I am too worried to go back for color correction to Brooks and Brooks. I have booked appt for the color correction at another salon and asked if I can get a refund from brooks and brooks however refund has been refused.

I strongly do not recommend anyone to do a hair color at Brooks and Brooks, it’s the worst hair color in the last 22 years.

Such a shame that I found salon so unhelpful after the color disaster, as I was very happy with my haircut but I won’t be back.

I loved my haircut with my stylist and my colour by another stylist. I recommend this salon to everyone! Great salon and staff are really attentive.

After a stressful few months my visit to Brooks and Brooks was just what I needed. I am a part-time teacher so had saved tuition and birthday money for a cut with the creative director and colour with the colour director. I gave them free rein except I asked for a short fringe. I was advised not to go this way and they were completely right; it would have made me look sad and dated. The skill, talent and creativity was admirable, not just from the two members of the team working on my look transformation but also as I watched the other stylists and colourists. Even the person washing my hair did so with professionalism and a degree of finesse that I hadn't thought was possible. Though, or perhaps because, he was in training he watched other members of the team intently, clearly keen to learn from these talented people. It is a place where one should trust in their skill and judgement and not be too blinkered in your own vision of what you should come out looking like. It is not the cheapest place in the world, but certainly not the dearest, however the joy I got from watching such crafts people at work and more so from my finished look, together with the ongoing complement from friends, colleagues and family made it worth every penny saved and spent.

Overcharged me and the cut was average for 55! No wonder they can afford that place with all the overcharging! Won't go back and wouldn't recommend! I'm surprised the staff don't wear balaclavas!

I've never felt so unwelcome at a salon, as I did at this place. Yes it looks lovely, all little chocolates and chic furniture but the colourist I saw, despite claiming many years experience, had no skills at colouring hair and even fewer people skills. I left feeling insulted, upset and ripped off. Went to another hairdresser for correction, got exactly what I wanted for half the price and felt great.

In short, overpriced, overrated, rude and mediocre at best.

I discovered Brooks and Brooks about 3 years ago when another well known hair salon let me down, and I am so pleased I did. This is easily the best salon I've ever been to. Everyone is really friendly. Rosie is a total genius, especially when it it comes to colour. My hair has never been better and I couldn't be happier.

Excellent for both colour and cutting services. I have been going to the salon for many years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Friendly and professional salon with a very talented team from the juniors to the owners. Always know I will be very happy with my hair - looks expensive, healthy and natural. An enjoyable experience and very happy to recommend the salon.

I have been going on off to this hair salon. I originally had a colour done here and it was fantastic and was pleased with how it turned out. The cut i got was also good and i was generally very pleased. The people i used had left the salon and i decided to use others. The colour was the same formula however i had a block of coloured hair and a block of my natural hair colour and it looked awful. The colourist just quickly coloured my hair and left and i didn't see him just until i was ready to leave the salon.The cut was very average and i wouldnt go back! I understand they move to other clients but perhaps if they paid more attention they will see the colour was not done well...

I was looking for a good salon in London, and came across the reviews for Brooks and Brooks. Reading about the hairdressers , and the Loreal awards she got , I thought I should give her a try. First time she was great, patient ,and listening to my needs. Second time was exactly the opposite ! She cut my hair opposite of what I asked ( shorter in the back, longer in the front). The highlights that was so great on the first time , was just 'awful' this time. She said it did not need a toner, so the result was 'different burned colour highlight ' that even I . who dont understand much of colouring hair, figure that indeed it needed a toner. SO annoying , disappointing ,and unreliable really. According to her great reviews on Brooks and Brooks page, she received award for hair colouring etc, one would expect better.

I will be going back to the salon, as I like the atmosphere , and is clear to see that they have great hairdressers there, but this one lady will 'never' touch mine again.

I am writing this just to express the real experience I had . Only great reviews on a review board doesnt really help , does it ?!

Great salon,funky laid back vibe,was made to feel my custom was very important to them.had a colour and cut,I was listened to and my hair was executed with professional confidence,I'm so happy with the results will travel from Lincoln again.
