Amazing Service
The process from reserving to purchasing the car was very smooth and efficient. I was kept informed of where the car was through the prep process and then as soon as it was delivered to store, I was able to test drive and pick up the next day.

Quick And Easy, No Hassle!
Bought my white clio, love him and already named! He was great to deal with, kept it simple and I was updated throughout the process. Didn't feel pressured at any time! Thanks Gents and thanks for the cuppa tea!
I have also used the autocentre and they are also lovely to deal with!

Avoid At All Cost!!!!
Avoid at all cost!!! I purchased a vehicle on the 10th of February in Bristol branch. Not only I was kept there for 9 hours, but I was also mis sold a warranty that I didn't need. The sales person lied to me saying that the Kia I have purchased has a 3 year warranty and tricked me into purchasing extended warranty that I didn't need, as I am covered with Kia for 7 years!!! Absolutely outrages. He also added other warranties to my finance that I didn't consent to, like paint and upholstery worth £349 and also charged me £250 for their members club, without my consent. They are now refusing to remove this from my finance!! Avoid at all cost. Horrible experience. Once they take your money that's it. There is no post sale customer support. The manager is absolutely useless, unreachable and unhelpful. The complaints are not being sorted. Horrible people.

Absolutely Shocking. Disgraceful Company
ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Bought a car from the Weston-Super-Mare dealership in July, drove 2 hours home and the engine management light was on. Called Carbase, no answer. Emailed, no answer.
This has been an issue going on for 2 months, constant issues and the service you receive is absolutely appalling. I've genuinely never known a company be so awful at customer service in my life. You can't speak to anyone, no one answers the call which is strange because I dropped the car back at my expense and the service guys were sat quietly with no phones calling.... there's a surprise.
Service and Sales Manager's don't exist, unless you're looking to spend money on a car. A representative in the Weston office is not helpful and doesn't care. Service Team manager doesn't exist.
There's awards on the website, but good lord. If this is a company that wins customer service awards, then I dread to think what other companies that don't look like.
You'd best hope you buy a car that never has a problem, because as you can see from all the reviews, if you do have a problem, they don't care about you, your rights, doing the right thing. A total sham of a company, that should be completely ashamed of themselves.
But they won't be ashamed. You'll get the usual 'we'll raise to our senior management team who'll look how we improve' (who I'm not sure actually exist), like all the other reviews on here when something has gone wrong. They don't care, they never will. It's not in their DNA to.
They even joke on their reviews page that 'no one's perfect'...literally laughing at how awful their service can be.
Hope for the best, prepare to never speak to anyone ever again if you're in trouble. It'll be at your time, your cost, your expense.
Shocking, shameful, embarrassing. A disgrace.
I look forward to your stock response copied and pasted on here from the other reviews.
Avoid At All Costs!
This company advertises that they will treat you as they themselves would like to be treated. All I can say to that is this is totally untrue.
I cannot believe that the CEO of Carbase going into a car showroom would want to be confronted by hard sell tactics that are relentless and when you decline extras that are being offered you are treated as some intellectual dimwit.
Also when the CEO makes a complaint to a company he is dissatisfied with he would not want to be met with meaningless platitudes as a response.
This is my experience of dealing with Carbase and the CEO must be extremely proud of his company, not!

Shocking Aftersales
4 months and still haven’t managed to make contact with your service team. You get the sale with all the bells and whistles promises and then live up to none of them. I’m £700 down due to a service that wasn’t honoured and warranty work that I just simply cannot get anyone to answer the phone or respond to messages to. Horrendous company, AVOID!!!

Ex-rep Cars, Overpriced And Filthy.
After finding a Peugeot 3008 Allure on Autotrader listed by Carbase, we contacted the Bristol branch and paid £99 to reserve the vehicle for a test drive. We told the lady on the phone we wished to part ex our car as part of the deal and were travelling an hour and a half on the Sunday morning. We asked if it had been a smokers car, to which we were told ‘it’s highly unlikely as we do not stock cars that have been smoked in’. We turned up on the day and had a friendly greeting and were told to sit in an area where a lady would be taking care of us. The lady was very friendly and pleasant, explaining the process. We were shown to the car where my eye was instantly drawn to 3 gouges in the driver and rear passenger door. Upon opening the car it was clear it was in the same condition it had been when it was brought in as a part-ex. It was in fact a smokers car despite being assured prior that it wouldn’t be. There was mud on the sills, a drink had been split in one of the front cup holders and the dashboard had a dusty white residue on it. The car was filthy to put it mildly. There was around 27 chips out of the leather on the steering wheel, deep scratches in the back of the drivers seat and dog hair in the boot. The centre console was extensively scratched too. We drove around the corner into an industrial estate where we went over the car from top to bottom. My wife and I decided we would be walking away from this deal. On the way back to Carbase I noticed a grinding noise from the rear brakes. After pulling over the rear disc was pitted and scored. It was clear it needed new discs and pads on the back.
Back at the branch we broke the news of our disappointment to the lady who seemed genuinely shocked and admitted she hadn’t personally seen the car. She went over to speak to her manager and after a minute or so he came over. He said he would like to make sure ‘She had looked after us’ to which we replied that she had been great, no complaints on that front. He asked us what was wrong with the car and we explained every single detail from our observation of the battered interior and exterior damage, including the noisy rear brakes. His demeanour was chippy and defensive, which was surprising as it should have been us that was this way seeing as they had wasted our time. He tried to explain the filthy state of the car by suggesting ‘we only had you booked in for a test drive, so you can’t expect the car to be showroom standard like this’ (at this point he pointed at a BMW M2). We asked why can’t the car be in a presentable standard seeing as we were looking to test drive it and buy it? He changed the subject at this point and proceeded to explain the mechanics of a brake calliper, and suggested the brake pads had been changed, hence the noise. With well over 500 cars in the showroom it seemed that he was able to recall every detail of the brake pads that were supposedly bedding in! Absolute rubbish. If the dealership can’t clean a car they’ve had on Autotrader for a week and booked out for a test drive, I highly doubt it’s had any maintenance done on it. We’ll never look at Carbase again, and I wish I could give zero stars on this review. The lady was lovely, but this company are comparable to Trade Centre Wales which is nothing to brag about.

Ignoring Customers And Inflating Prices
I initially reserved a car online that I wanted to view, I organised the test drive and all seemed fine. The test drive went well and we arranged a deal including part-ex that I was happy with albeit the sales person trying to low-ball me on my part-ex value after telling me my car was in excellent condition but offering £250 less than the website offered based on the condition. I argued this and they agreed to honour the price they should have offered. I organised a date to collect but unfortunately had some financing issues that pushed everything back. I told them I needed some more time and gave them a date of when I had my loan appointment I could pay a deposit then. I heard nothing for a few days then got a jumbled call from someone to say they needed a deposit now, I was at work so asked them to email whatever request they had over to me as I couldn't talk right then.... no email. 2 days before my loan appointment I received a rather curt phone call from someone else telling me unless I gave them a non-refundable deposit they would sell the car to someone else, I told them there were 2 days until I could pay the deposit and was basically told tough but the car stayed online as reserved to me as it had been. Then after my loan appointment was approved, I tried to contact the sales person by email to let them know I wanted to move ahead as I had the money, next thing I see the car has disappeared from the website to then be re-advertised a day later for an extra £1,400 added to the price!! So it turns out it wasn't a case that they couldn't wait 2 more days for my money, they just wanted to inflate the price! I received no response to my email and 2 further calls and only received a response after I made a complaint via the website! I received a frankly disappointing call which gave me no update, no means of rectifying the situation and was told that apparently the car was now 'reserved'. The sales person then replied to me telling me the car was reserved and would I like to be updated, the car then mysteriously became available again the day before it was supposedly being viewed. Despite having agreed a price and part-ex value already, the sales person then refused to honour that agreement as apparently 'stock is hard to get hold of'.... you already have the car in stock, agreed a deal but now you don't want to sell it despite someone offering to buy?? Terrible customer service from start to finish, constantly ignored and then inflated the prices despite already negotiating a price. Claims of customer satisfaction on their website don't appear to match the reviews

Very Professional Car Sales
I was very impressed with carbase at w.s.m no high pressure sales techniques which make you feel uncomfortable just plain facts in a casual but very professional way. We bought a v.w touran and the person I dealt with even phoned us as our 3 month warranty was coming to an end to ask if we had any problems which we did but only a rear window heating element not working properly. He told us to bring the car back and they would sort it out and they just that.Very impressed
Q&A
I bought an Audi A4 2010 plate on 27 April and drove the car back to Maidenhead. I took it out for a spin a week later and touched the driver rear view mirror in the car and it fell of coming off the attachment. We have since been talking to their service department manager. He advised us that we should take it to a VAR registered garage, which we did to two different ones. One of them advised us to go to Audi garage, the other quoted £400. He keeps fobbing us off about he will speak to managers and get back to me and he never does and we phone him back. I would like to know if I can insist on my money back?
Pathar,
Do try - they never bothered finding my phone much, but did offer a token gesture for me to take the review down (which I didn't accept as they should have found my phone seeing how it was one of their employees who last had it and then disappeared).
They seem pretty crooked overall, but perhaps pressing them will yield a satisfactory result for you (it's not like you'd want to rip off a review mirror on purpose, is it?)
Best of luck,
P
