Wimpy

I went into the wimpy at Southend Victoria, and the manager was extremely rude and came across as a bully to his staff, and when I commented he swore at me and told me to get out of the restaurant. Then started making jokes with co workers

Oh my goodness, was shocked on 22/12/2013 at about 15:30 on visiting Wimpy at Klawer 1 STOP on the N7 in Namaqualand, Western Cape. It was a very hot day and my family, my elderly parents and I were on route to Vanrhynsdorp on a busy N7. We decided to cool off by ordering some cold beverages (milk & milshakes)and some waffels with cream & ice cream. Wow, the cold beverages tooked about 20+ minutes to be served with a not so busy restaurant; BUT great was our surprise when the waiter came back to us just to inform us that they are a little bit understaffed today and that there is no cream for the waffels. Then came the top announcement of surprises when she returned minutes later; asking us to cancel the order due to the fact that they have only one waffel machine working and there are already four orders for waffels before ours and that she cannot tell us how long it will take to serve due to shortage of staff and commodities. Seriously, this is a key point on a national highway during a festive season and the place is unprepared for its clients and seemingly falling appart in the kitchen!! Also annoying was noticing several other Wimpy customers just leaving the restaurant after ordering, but also waiting unacceptabbe long. I cannot believe that the directors of a famous franchise like Wimpy allow such poor management; dragging their brand's name through the mud and have zero service delivery to the public using the N7 and/or staying in the nearby towns. This ship is surely sinking and the captain already left his post. Gladly, I am back at home where the fittest survive and competition is healthy. As a very regular Wimpy client in Gauteng; Wimpy 1 STOP at Klawer will not see us during our bi-annual travels to Namaqualand or my parents from Vanrhynsdorp again, ever!

Oh my goodness, was shocked today on visiting Wimpy at Romford. What on earth has happened to the size of the plates? The plates allow a portion only for a child, and in fact even my child felt hard done by!! I am from a greedy person, but seriously, they were barely bigger than saucers!!. If the price was reasonable it would have been mildly acceptable, but the prices are far from competitive. Also annoying was being asked what we wanted to drink while we were standing still getting our coats off, very annoying. I have heard from a friend that a branch in another area has huge plates, so why the titchy size here?? Will certainly not be visiting again, ever!

fantastic food and service

Fantastic food ,fantastic servic and a fairly quiet and small family retaurant.

My family and I went for supper and it was THE WORST PLACE I have eaten in St.Thomas. I would have gotten a better meal/service and spend less money if we had gone across the street to Burger King. The only thing that was good was the strawberry milkshake. The owners put to much money into the decor and not enough into food quality. To add insult to injury they gave the kids moldy wooden toys...yes that is right ...moldy toys from china not meant for kids under 5 as they had lead paint on them. Wimpys is cheap on everything but the decor and I’m sorry if the wimpy owner reads this but you need a wakeup call if you want to make it. Stop pissing away money on the decor because all those records on the wall and that shiny music box don’t have the money. If the person with money isn’t happy.....guess what... you get reviews like this and no customers

I had never tried the Wimpy's menu before, so I had no expectations. We had burgers, fries, salad, and some all-day breakfast items too. This place does greasy spoon right and with style. The decor here will make you forget you've just come to a hole of a strip plaza. The staff was incredibly friendly, making you feel like one.

the food at this location was the worst food I have ever had,for a newly opened facility it was filty,when I told the manager ,he said if you didn't like it don't come again,both my girlfriend and I were sick after eating there

Overpriced & flavourless, no matter what your selection it is all very poor. Fries are not good

Burger King are more expensive, but are fantastic. It is worth paying the extra

An afternoon outing ended in everybody's day being ruined - after we all had an overcooked meal each, at the Wimpy Peterborough food-joint. This over-priced & disgusting meal left all family members feeling sick as dogs. This experience has put all of us from ever going to a Wimpy again, I personally would rather go hungry than eat such poor quality food again. I've rarely used Wimpy, but when I did I enjoyed the experience, but I guess times change & they've decided to buy the cheapest food & price it as high as possible.

Others in the joint (I can't bring myself to call it a restaurant) also were moaning as they left.
