Horrible Driver

What a horrible experience myself and my partner just had today on the 310 from Hoddesdon to turnford, my card declined and the driver became abusive and threatened to kick me off, he then told me to f off and sit down, when me and my partner got off the bus I informed the driver I had left a review, he said he did not care and again told us both to f off and called us both rasists (even though nothing rasist had even been mentioned), I got off the bus shaking and the experience has upset my partner as well, drivers like this should not be working for your company, this is the 310 due into waltham cross at 13.40, any help in this matter will be gratefully appreciated, thank you.

Stop Cutting Costs And Put More Buses On.

Every single night of the week, between 5pm and 7pm, there are never enough 79 bus services, people are crammed in like sardines, and most buses regularly cruise past bus stops as there's no more room for anymore to get on. It's one of the busiest routes out of Liverpool covering several miles, and this is most definitely not a one off, but an absolute example of poor management and cost saving. Put more buses on.

Massive Disappointment With Arriva

They always seem to be late, if not the drivers take the way too long in many of the stops being on their phone .

There's been several occasions where arriva busses have several breakdowns. Been late to few different jobs evertyime I take the arriva busses because I had no other option.

Would not recommend this line .

Short Changing Children And Disgusting Customer Service

My Children use the No 4 bus service from Holyhead to Bryngwran on a regular basis. Here’s a few of the issues we’ve encountered using Arriva……

1. My children were significantly short changed out of their pocket money by a driver who told them “You’ll just have to be out of pocket”. No IOU, No explanation as to why he didn’t have change or if there was a way to claim it back! It now transpires, after speaking with customer services that you’re expected to collect the change that wasn’t given from some depot somewhere!!!!!….Frankly disgusting!!

2. My children were waiting for the bus in Holyhead to travel home at 21:00. The bus driver didn’t open the doors and didn’t explain that he was on some sort of break and wouldn’t be collecting them from that stop but would be collecting at another stop less than 200 yards away!! Once again…. Disgusting!!

3. My Children now use the Arriva App where they purchase a ticket (post short changing). However this has presented another issue. Once the ticket is activated it cannot be refunded…… the problem is when Arriva CANCEL BUSSES your money is wasted. I had to Taxi my children home at significant cost. Very, very annoying!!

Basically Arriva customer services don’t give a damn about making amends! You’ll just go around and around in circles with them!

Personally I’d avoid using any Arriva service across the country!!

Shocking Service Needs Stripping To Basics And Start Again

Buses in Wakefield are shocking. Never running

Single on busiest routes

Doubles on quietest

Wouldnt let me give 0 or 1 star which I would If I could.

Most of the drivers are proper weirdos who think there something above the rest (I know my husband used to work for them and he said the same)

Always filthy and rubbish all over

No excuse for abuse signs but that only extends to the passangers and not the drivers. Nor do they do anything if theres a nuisance passangers. For example a young lass in her late teens got on the bus me and my children were on the other day. Literally no exaggeration... She was shouting abuse at every passanger on the top of the decker. Every one was fuming. Driver didn't know as he had his air pods in. She should have bee been told to leave the bus. Instead she was swearing, name calling, being threatening. Lucky some of the other passengers didn't clamp her. Tge driver even then would probably have been just as unaware.

Buses say cancelled on the app when your at the bus stop so you set of to walk to the next stop instead of standing around and it suddenly turns up. But then you wait and it dosent when it's supposed to.

Absolutely unreliable and a nightmare when you HAVE to get a bus regularly. When circumstances change will literally never use a bus again.

Today one driver snatched a day ticket out of my mums hand to scan it for her as she was "taking too long" I mean within seconds (she has disabilities so can be a bit slower than your average person without but not snail paced) and he said "sorry love I've had enough of this bus and wanna get off as he did it. No need to take it out on the passangers like that and make them feel a bit awkward and embarrassed.

Husband worked for arriva Wakefield and said it was run like a joke shop. Managers don't have a clue what they are doing.

A Horrific Experience With Arriva Bus – Beware Of Negligence

I recently had an appalling experience with Arriva Bus that I feel compelled to share to warn other potential customers. My luggage was taken due to blatant driver negligence, and the company’s handling of the situation has been nothing short of disastrous.

During my trip, the driver, left the trunk open while he was inside the bus, which is against company policy. I have four witnesses who can attest to this fact. Despite being assured by a company representative at Luton Airport that similar incidents in the past resulted in full compensation for the victims, my own case has been met with indifference and delay.

I immediately reported the theft and was promised swift action. However, more than two weeks have passed without any response or resolution from the company. This lack of accountability and urgency is completely unacceptable. I am now left on an important trip without any clothing or personal belongings, all due to an error that was beyond my control.

To make matters worse, despite my follow-up emails stressing the urgency of the situation, I have been met with silence. This level of customer service is inexcusable and deeply disappointing. The risk of negligence and the poor handling of customer issues make it clear that this company does not value its customers or their belongings.

Avoid Arriva Bus at all costs if you value your peace of mind and personal property.

Disgraceful Driver

Running late to work because your driver was buying a coffee while 30 people waited in line to get on a bus. The worst bus company I have ever used

government Funded Joke Company That Constantly Ne

Government funded joke company that constantly never turns up! So far I've wasted 8 hours of my time waiting for buses that haven't arrived. Good job DS you should be very proud of your work! Arriva because they NEVER Arriva. How can you or the Givernment justify your contracts. You have cost me more work than an average man's week and doubled my daily travel. I'll have the pleasure of another 11pm return journey tonight. I've had to travel from Windgate to Peterlee to Durham to Bishop Auckland because twice the bus you've not sent a bus.

Go With National Express - Forget Arriva

Bought tickets for family to Luton airport - no option to print out or send on tickets to passengers if they do not have APP. Staff are generally arrogant and very unhelpful. Had to buy new tickets despite downloading and sending an image of barcode to passengers. Scanning of a screenshot works on any airline or transport company - but not with Arriva - Arriva has good product but very unfriendly booking infrastructure bad experience that has left a bad taste - will avoid them where there is an alternative.

Necessary.

The bus is always overcrowded and the people always go home late. Especially afterschool, I don’t understand why double decker buses are never sent at afterschool times so that most students are able to fit into one bus without it being hard to breathe and too hot. It’s also crazy how there’s usually an early bus that happens to be a double decker but no one is out of school yet to go on it.

I think that buses should take notice of this and send double deckers or double buses to that the students who don’t take a school bus may be able to go home at an appropriate time in an appropriate bus where the elderly may be able to sit.

Q&A

AnnHarrison

I need to start sending my son on the No.12 Maidstone Arriva bus to get to school, is it reliable? I have not heard good reviews. Does anyone use this route please?

Chays

I have been on this route about 20 times at various times of the day... Twice the scheduled bus didn't turn up (the following bus on the timetable on one of these occasions was 20 mins late... With a very rude driver!). On a separate occasion, on a dark & cold winter's night the driver completely ignored my plainly visible outstretched arm & sailed straight past. Otherwise, mostly on time. School time buses fairly reliable though very full.
