When visiting from America I put a deposit $115 approx. with Nova Car Hire for a car while was staying there. When I got to Ireland I went to pick up the car and was advised that it could not be paid for with 2 cards - had been done previously. I had to go to another company to get a car who willingly accepted two cards for payment. When I got back to America I tried to get my deposit back as it was not my fault that I could not get the vehicle they would not give it to me. The girl at the desk said they had just changed their policy not accepting two cards. So I told Nova about this and after many emails they refused to give me back my deposit - I did not renege on my agreement the car hire company policy changed. Terrible service.

after getting quote for car hire on one way return basis (Rome to Pisa) and confirmed by the car hire operator a large fee was payable on collection. Nothing in the terms and conditions of either Nova or Gold car ..give an amount payable on booking. just says where applicable in my case it didn't state it was applicable.!Also because I had mu own excess insurance Gold Car would not offer breakdown assistance even in the event of a breakdown due to mechanical failure. There are plenty of other better options out there. Slow hire desk service.

I noticed a small chip on the windscreen when my husband first picked up the car, I pointed it out to him and asked if he had the company write it down before they handed over the vehicle but he reassured me there was no need as windscreen repair is free with the insurance policy, so it won't be something they would charged for anyway. Sure enough when we returned the car we got hit with a £150 bill (even though they get it fixed for free). It was a small burn but he really regrets not taking a photo of it when he picked up the car, never be too trusting, assuming things will be ok can burn you in the end.

Travelled to U.K. and Ireland for a Holiday and used Nova Car Hire company. Staff were efficient helpful and friendly. Cars were new, clean and in good condition. It made the holiday a fantastic experience. We travelled quite a few km in both cars and had no issues at all.

I have rented a lot of cars for business and pleasure over the years and now I almost exclusively use Nova. Their service and value is second to none.

Extra charges not included on the original quote. Obstructive customer service.

I advise going for a more expensive, but honest alternative

I travel extensively in the US and in the British Isles and have relied on NOVA to meet by car hire needs for at least ten years. I have found their prices to be remarkably competitive and have never once - based on perhaps 50 rentals - been disappointed with their service. I've recommended NOVA to friends and colleagues who have shared my positive experience. On the two occasions when I have had to contact their Killorglin HQ with questions, I have received extremely prompt and helpful replies.

it's very convenient to do car Hire.

don't need to finish lots of paper work.

I returned car in the early morning that I can drop the key in the box.

I was told only the rental amount would be deducted from my credit card,but, when i got my statement, i saw that 2 different amounts were deducted as well. One was in a foreign monetary amount and the other local.

I would never use this again. I believe u should be told of theses charges. The car was also not the best as well.
