Masterline John Wilson Avon Quiver Rod

Sad to say that my modern John Wilson Signature, had poor production quality, with guide linings already corroding on receipt. Could not return to seller as they had tough return terms including the need to spot a defect within two days of receipt. However Master-lines services under the warranty, were very good. They were happy to replace, but I arranged an upgrade instead to their JW Young 11-12ft AVon quiver, which is a big step up in quality, and is a actually a more like-for-like replacement for your old John Wilson Avon, than the new John Wilson Avon is.

Have early 13/4 tc and 11/4 tc two piece rovex. Superb for every type of fishing i do. Had to use the Masterline aftersales service due to my own fault.100% service pity they do not sell CARS?? thinking of buying another .

My son bought me one of these rods 6 years ago and was a great rod, still using today. I bought a second one this year as it was so good, however the manufacturer has changed and it snapped the second time I used it. I was given a replacement, which has now snapped twice. The previous rod handles all the fish this one will not. Please do not waste your money on this junk, enen the cloth sleeve to hold the rod was poor quality.

The Masterline John Wilson Avon Quiver Rod is a great all rounder with power to tame big barbel and carp and the sensitivity to show those shy bites on the quiver tip.

Not hooked a big enough fish (lb) plus to test it under pressure

The Masterline John Fisher Avon Quiver Rod is a good all round rod. If you hook over a 25 pound fish the rod cannot really stand the strain

I have used this rod at 13ft float fishing for bream and tench and at 11ft with a centre pin reel for margin fishing for carp (best fish 18 lb) and have found it good for each job.
