Reliance Travels Mis-sold Seats On Singapore Airlines

We booked flights with Singapore Airlines and assumed that contact from Reliance Travels were acting on behalf of same, when we booked our seats. We were told that we had to pay an extra £233.99 to book 2 adjacent seats, and book quickly, as there were hardly any seats left. On our flight to Singapore from LHR however, it became very apparent that we had been mis sold our seats. The cabin steward confirmed 170 seats booked out of a total of 300 seats! We took photos and videos of passengers using all 3 seats as a bed.

We therefore claimed a refund of our money on return, but it was refused, and they offered us £150.00 in vouchers, which we refused and requested a money refund, which they refused, so we took out a County Court summons, whereby Reliance Travels eventually settled out of court.

The Court summons only cost £35.00 and thus enabled justice to be served.

Beware, this company should be avoided at all cost.

Not Recommended

NOT RECOMMENDED.

You are much better off booking with the airline directly -DO NOT USE this company or it’s partner Kingdom Travels.

You will pay around 15% more with this lot and you will not get any extra benefits (like totally refundable tickets if you cancel and total flexibility on flight dates) over the airline whatever they promise. Further more they will take control of the booking and you will not be able to reserve seats or checkin online. They do this presumably because they will charge you extra for this kind of thing. You will feel frustrated, annoyed and wonder if you have been shammed.

We did ring the airline to check if the booking we had paid for was real but they would not give us access to the booking to reserve seats etc. It was only just the day before the flight that I rang the airline again telling them I couldn’t check in that they put our personal details on the booking so that we could do so.

Wanted To Change My Singapore Airline Flight. They

Wanted to change my Singapore airline flight. They came up on Singapore airlines search, and claimed to be Singapore airlines. They are not. I became suspicious when additional fees added. fortunately managed to cancel my card online before the payment went through. They were trying to charge me £125.65. Singapore airlines only wanted £50. Do not use them and make sure you get through to airlines official sites.

I Reserved My Seats After Thinking I Was Dealing W

I reserved my seats after thinking I was dealing with emirates, this was confirmed on 3 occasions.

I went ahead with the seat selection and on receipt of the email it was delivered from reliance travel with an email address of kingdom travel - these are the same company.

I did not confirm the booking (they advise the booking won’t go ahead if I do not confirm from the email). When queried they then sent me an email from a do not reply emirates email address, alarm bells rang. I told them I do not wish to go ahead, they then charged my credit card.

I have emailed and spoke to then advising they are committing fraud, they have proceeded with a transaction without consent or confirmation, I requested either a refund or I will do a chargeback.

They still were trying to advise they were emirates, however on one occasion confirmed they were a third party.

I was then advised they would give me a refund, yet surprise surprise no email confirmation arrived, I was then told I will receive it in 2 hours so I asked Jordan for him to write a confirmation email.

I have received an email advising I will get refunded the full amount however he proceeded to tell me on the phone there will be charges deducted!

I’m now off to contact my card supplier as I doubt I’ll get the refund off them!

Do Not Use These People Ever!!

Agreed with other reviews, these people are sham artists.

I booked ( with reservations) to visit a friend in Hawai. When I tried to check-in I was asked to pay an additional £422. RT advised that was for the cheap seats. RT said they would pay 50%. I refused to pay the £211 they wanted me to pay. Return flight from Honalolo: at the airport I was advised by ground handling I should have flown at 10.30 the previous night. It suggested RT had rescheduled. No text, Wattapp or email advising me of the change from RT. Fortunately, American Airlines rescheduled for the following day.....I was so lucky. Of course, the whole thing cost me so much more with additional costs until my flight the following day. Reliance Travel you need a different title!

Dishonest Company

Car hire sham

I am the 4th customer in the past 30 days to report to Trustpilot about being cheated by this company (Reliance Travel Limited based in Ilford).

I relied on the fact that Trustpilot gave this company a 5-star rating.

Had I read the 1-star reviews I would have been warned to avoid this company.

I paid a representative for 3 things:

A return flight with Qatar Airways

A 6-night stay in a hotel

A 7-day car hire I paid £1445.92.

The cost of the flight and the hotel was £1310 and the total cost including the car hire was £1445.92.

This means that the cost of the car hire was
£135.92.

The company provided pdf evidence that the flight and the hotel had been booked.

(I checked that both the flight and the hotel had indeed had been properly booked.)

However, the car hire was not booked even though I was charged £137.92 for it.

The company claimed that because the cost of the car hire was discounted, I would have to pay a refundable amount of £55 for the booking to be made.

Representative asked me to me to reveal over the phone a bank text message one-time password (OTP) that would pay an additional £55 to a food company in Pakistan.

I refused and asked to speak to the manager.

He too asserted that I would have to reveal the OTP over the phone.

Again I refused.

Next day I phoned him and asked him to refund the money (£137.92) he had taken for the car hire.

He said he could only do that if the Doha car hire company (Budget) would agree to a refund.

I phoned the Doha office of Budget and learned that no booking had been made for me.

………………………………………………,,

Conclusions:

I paid for a service (car hire) that was not delivered.

My request for a refund was refused.

I was told that I must pay an additional sum of money to a third party by revealing an OTP from my bank - this is a ploy used by deceivers

Had I made this payment the company could have claimed that I had been sham by a third party and not by them.

The company cannot blame a rogue agent since the manager confirmed the agent’s OTP ploy,

It is naive to rely only on Trustpilot’s 5-star reviews.

Search the Internet for reviews other that those published by Trustpilot.

For example, there are many negative reviews of Reliance Travels Limited at the Review Centre.

I have many Pakistani friends who are horrified by this company giving a bad name to Pakistan (which literally means (Pure Land).

Caveat emptor (Buyer beware)

Do Not Use

After searching for Emirates on Google, I ended up booking a flight with this company, thinking I was dealing with Emirates, they took a total payment of £420 ,then told me the flight was cancelled and refused to refund my money

Sham

This company is the worst, they are rogue. They will promise to reschedule or book your flight and never carry out the services. They are also very rude and you will never get a refund. I have been trying to get a refund from them but they stopped picking my calls and replying to my messages. Never use reliance travels limited.

Mis-sold Two Air Tickets

I asked if they were Emirates and they said yes. They persuaded me to buy 2 flights to Dubai Flex Plus when the tickets arrived they were not flexi plus, my husband got in touch with them and their guy eventually admitted they don’t have flexi plus tickets but he issued more paperwork showing he had added flexi plus but after speaking to Emirates they tell us our tickets are flex tickets. They do not answer my emails. I certainly won’t be booking with them again how are they allowed to sell something they don’t have. So all the extras I was told I would get with flex plus I am not getting I have been ripped off, and from the reviews I am not the only one.

Not What Advertised!

When looking for flights this company pops up with a very well priced flight but when you try and book it you have to put in your email address and phone number. Within a few minutes someone calls you and the advertised flight is in fact not available and they try to sell you a different flight costing much more. I've been caught with this twice now as I had forgotten their name. Stay away from this company!
