Tencreek Visit Feb 2023 Static Van
I left a review on Trip Advisor with photos, however most of my photos have been replaced with generic photos of Looe. No bedding on arrival, went back to reception and got some. Mattress looked like a wanderer had been using it. Van was filthy dirty and the smell was awful, it hadn't had a cleaner in it for months. I called in the morning to ask what time I could check in, reply was after 2pm it just needed a fire safety check. See phots attached, fire bottle gauge below minimum pressure, so no safety check had been carried out or had anyone been into check the van over. The Gas fire heater didn't work in the lounge area and that night the temperature dropped to minus 3 it was freezing cold inside the van. Seating area so filthy dirty I didn't want to sit on it. Cupboard door missing, blind in toilet broken, mould and mildew in bedrooms, massive cobwebs. No loo roll, no starter kit for washing up, and the noise from the builders leaving for work in the morning who are using other vans nearby was dreadful. Overall it was appalling and I could not wait to leave. I only give it 1 star because I have to. I complained to reception and was told to send an e-mail in, which I did but had no reply. Stay here with caution, its cheap for a reason. Will not be going back.

Will Not Return
We drove for 9hrs. Very tiered as we pulled on to the camp we were very disappointed how the camp looked. Got into caravan and you could smell it was damp. The seating area was very dirty.went in bedroom curtains were torn in both bedrooms. Table was very unsteady. Went to report but was not interested. They did come and mend the table
When we went to use pans they were all dirty. I thought all these thing should be checked. The quilts were very worn. Was very disappointed with what we found. Will never come back. It's false advertising on the TV.
Booked Through A National Newspaper For 4 Nights W
booked through a national newspaper for 4 nights with our touring caravan in oct 2010,we were in the area so we called- in-great staff but sadly to say- sad site,it was in need of a good clean it had a new shower block(well thats what we were told)i dont think it had been cleaned since it was built, the site was full of mud-abandond cars on the carpark litter all over, caravans in need of repair, none of it was like what the broucher said,if the time comes to update the broucher it should be inspected first-we didnt turn up-lost our cash but worth it-give it one star rating so i could send review
Aug 2010 Family Of 5 Children 10, 13, 16
Aug 2010
family of 5 children 10, 13, 16
On first entering the park my heart sank we had just left Hobourne campsite in Paighton and had a fantastic time . I tried not to be too critical we were booked into a sunways caravn which was by no means the cheapest. Once we got into the caravan it didn t get any better old scruffy and thread bare. It always had a very damp smell although it was a very spacious size.I walked down to the double bedroom and looked out of the window th be meet with the sight of a power plant 200 yrds from the window. There was a serious lack of equipment for a family of 5.We went to te club house and both times it was very over crowded that is when you had fought your way through to the door through all the smokers. we only spent two nights there and have to say I wouldn t of wanted to stay any longer.Sorry to say i would not return and would not reccomend to anyone although you could tell some people where regulars and seemed to be having a great time.
Our First Thought As We Drove Onto The Site Was Pu
Our first thought as we drove onto the site was pure disapointment. The entertainment club and diner was in the entrance and looked like some sort of run down rugby club.
We had travelled for 4 hrs and had 2 young children with us who were very hungry. The diner wasnt open until 5pm so we had to purchase food from the site shop. There was no fresh produce or gifts in the shop and the only choice we had were microwave burgers which were overpriced.
Our caravan was a putrid green and had cobwebs in the bathroom and we had to wash all the plates and utensils as they were filthy.
The outside swimming pool was closed and looked like a demolition site. The amusements inside the club had 10 out of 17 machines broke and the childrens entertainment was exactly the same every night.
We ordered the children sausage and chips and all they got was one sausage and a burnt ant, yes, ant on the chips. Another person told me they had a bug running around there burger on the previous night.
The launderette had only 2 out of 4 driers working and it took me 4 hrs and £16 to do 2 loads of washing.
Most of the lights on site werent working so we were in darkness trying to find our caravan. The indoor pool was open for only 4 hrs daily and apart from a small park there were no other facilities on site.
We had to purchase matches to ignite the cooker as we had no igniter in the caravan.
Overall view of Tencreek....... What a dump.

My Ratings Are Only So High Because You Have To En
My ratings are only so high because you have to enter a rating and value for money! Ive seen better scrapyards, the Tencreek Holiday Park caravans were covered in green, which we were told were the staff quarters but I would say the majority of permanent pitched caravans were in this state. The washing looked to have been left on the lines for at least 6 months. We had booked a service pitch, their interpretation of a service pitch was a large pitch with electric! Water was close by but was a mud bath to get to. The chemical waste was at other end of the site, whereby you would have had to use your vehicle to take it there. Where our supposed pitch was resembled the dog exercising area, just complete waste ground.
We therefore requested a complete refund and went and found an alternative site.
Would not recommend this site to anyone.
