Worried After Seeing Some Reviews - No Need
I was worried after seeing some reviews on this site. Need not have been. Car had a couple of "knocks" which I photographed. On return pleasantly surprised to see that these had been recorded on an electronic sheet. Very pleasant staff and no issues or arguments. Not sure therefore why others have raised some issues. Only issue is the fast track process costing 18 Euros which I don't think is fair - should treat all in order of arrival.

I have never seen such an abysmal bunch of sharks in my entire life. Having arrived at Alicante at 11.30, they spent an hour processing the 3 people in the queue in front of me. When I finally got served, I was told there was an additional 50 to pay as the pick up time was out of normal hours. They also charged me 78 euros for a tank of diesel, on a Nissan Micra! A full tank would be around 45.I was told to inspect the car for any damage, in the pitch dark as they don’t have adequate lighting. A bit disgruntled at this point, but I go over every visible surface and mark the sheet. On returning the car the inspection guy walks round it and without even bending down, points to underneath the bumper and says there’s damage there. Please note, you could not see this damage unless you were on your hands and knees with your cheek on the ground.
They then go on to charge me €360 euros for the damage. You can argue all you want, but they already take €900 euros off you when you hire the car. This is on top of the fact there is no possible way I could have done this damage.
Do yourself a favour, go with any other company than Amigo Autos or there dodgy cohorts OK rent a car.
Everything Hidden, Even The Car....
So, in Mallorca (airport July 2017),be prepared to pay twice as much when you pick up the car, to spend an hour looking for the car, with no help form the staff, (just look out for the cheapest car on in the multistory airport car park), and to pay even more when you return the car because there are a few grains of sand by the pedal (Mallorca is a beach holiday destination so you would have thought that their business model would account for this if they wanted to keep their customers, but evidently no. Be warned, if you use them, the likelihood is, you never will again. So don't let them exploit you, choose different company: in all likelihood, you will end up paging similar amounts, but without the bitter taste! Appalling company.

Misleading T&c And Customer Service
We rented a car with them in July 2017 in Barcelona. The actual rent was with Europe car. We decided to choose this company Amigo Autos as it was saying on the website that you can choose if you would like to use a Debit card.
First of all the conditions are very confusing as it is 3rd party. That is why just before I booked I called to make it all clear. Even tough we had a lot of troubles!
*As per the conditions we could cancel 48h in advance however they charged my card well in advance.
*When I spoke to their Customer service they explained (as stated on the web page) that if you take the insurance there will be No security deposit required.
Upon arrival to collect the car they asked us for a Credit Card. We explain that we were assured from Amigo autos that we will not need a Credit card. Besides they needed to take a deposit for the car that we explained that as well as per Customer Service of Amigo Autos we were not supposed to leave a deposit if we had the insurance.
When I called Customer Service to ask for assistance or any suggestion for a solution from their side they told me I can cancel! Yeah, right ...cancel and leave with no car and our money gone, no refund!!! Great help from Customer service.
At the end we got it all solved as we had a friend there with a credit card. But what if we were in a country where we do not know anybody?! Check their terms and conditions and their Customer Service. I will never book through them again and will make sure more people are aware of them!!!!
Let Down By Amigo Autos
We booked a car for 6 people at Auto Amigos on the 25th July for the following 3 days, they took our name and phone number and said to come the following morning. We were looking forward to going to a fiesta the following day, so walked down to pick the car up to be told we couldn't have it as they'd had a breakdown so someone else need it. Just like that! At least they could have let us know beforehand. We eventually managed to find another car hire company and got a car for 2 days. Would not recommend Amigo Autos at all.

1 Star Because 0 Isn't An Option
This is the 3rd time I used amigos autos to rent a car and it will be the last. I planned a road trip with my husband for his fathers quick trip to visit us in Barcelona. This whole trip was ruined because of Amigos Autos.
We used the amigos autos website to prepay and reserved an automatic transmission car. When we arrived to pick up the car the man at the agency informed us that we had not in fact reserved an automatic car and they didn't have any for us. We called the "customer service" (if you must call it that) phone number to see what they could do for us because we were 100% sure we selected the automatic transmission filter while searching for our car (my husband and I did this together and we are both capable of using a search tool). They basically told us there is nothing they can do for us, that we don't know how to choose a car, and that it's not their fault that we can't drive manual. The only option they gave us is to cancel the reservation WITHOUT any refund.
So after taking the train an hour to arrive to the airport and going to the rental car agency we are now on the train back home having to cancel our trip and losing our money for the reservation.
All this because of an error on their part and all we get in return is an agent from this company calling us stupid. What a sad experience.

As stated in our T&C, we can't assure that customers will receive the exact group they have booked because except for economic and compact cars, the reservations are subject to confirmation from our partners.

Never Again!
I booked a car with them on Mallorca. They never refunded the deposit for gas and damages! I still try to get my money back

As a broker, we can't refund clients fuel, deposit or others fees paid to the rent-a-car company. We recommend you to get in touch with the suplier's customer services in order to request your refund.

Expensive, Very Poor Service And The Cars Are Old A Worn Out
Booked a car to pick up at Muria Airport through Amigo car hire. I don't think this company actually exists! The car hire email directed to me Goldcar rental that had a massive queue at the airport. We had to queue two hours for a pre-booked car, then found that they didn't have the VW Caddy (or similar) I ordered, and was supposedly upgraded free of charge to a Ford Focus Estate, with 45k on the clock and bits of rubber hanging off it, scratches and small bumps all round, no wheel hubs, no water in the windscreen washer and a front windscreen that you could not see out of at night because it was so dirty. Mechanically otherwise it appeared to be sound. I have hired many cars all over the world and never had one in such poor condition and so old. The extra cost of insurance and extra driver for my wife was extortionate as was the cost of a full non-refundable tank of fuel at 80 Euros. A number of customers were not accepting the cars they were offered as they were in such bad condition. Couldn't be bothered after waiting for two hours to go back and get it changed to a not so embarrassing mode of transport.
NEVER AGAIN USE THIS SHABBY AND EXTORTIONATE OUTFIT WHO SEEM TO EXPLOIT TOURISTS FOR THE SEASON!

A Broker Not A Car Rental Service!
Worst decision using Amigo Autos to rent a car in Mallorca. We had thought they were a car rental service, but they are merely a broker, and end up charging MUCH MORE than if you go directly to a car rental company. Somehow they are also associated with another broker called INTER-RENTAL, connected to EUROPCAR (and had a line at the EUROPCAR desk). They force you to buy a full tank of gas and to bring the car back empty (which is never totally empty). The full tank costed us over 75 Euros for a small Fiat. Better to bring the car back with a full tank as you will pay much less. Plus the people at the EUROPCAR desk were totally unhelpful and knew they were ripping off customers. BEWARE!

Best Offer And Good Services
We were worried about using this company when reading all the negative comments. However we had no problems. Good car, 6 month old, very clean and in perfect condition.
Before travelling we called Amigo Autos and the lady at the phone explained us all the rental details so that we were informed about the fuel policy. Besides for a one week booking it’s okay. As we used the whole tank there was no problem. Comparing the price it was the best offer we have found even including fuel costs. I’m really surprised at reading all that negative experiences ‘cause there are really no hidden costs, it’s all very clear. And if you prefer to pay everything at destination like me it’s one of the best options you’ll find. Will definitely use Amigo Autos again.
