I had two recent incidents.

Firstly, the office in Fornells (Menorca) was closed even it was still during opening hours. Because of that, I had to go to Mahon where I wanted to rent a car. I had made the reservation before to be sure, that it is gonna be opened and ready. The booking was made via telephone customer service where I directly asked if my age or the length of holding driving license is ok? (I am 18 years old.) The operator told me twice that there is no problem with that and let me do the booking. When I arrived to rental in Mahon, the woman at the desk told me that the age of my driving license is not long enough. (They want at least 3 years.) I tried to explain her my backstory with call operators from previous days. She called her boss, who had said no, and afterwards she was very offensive and her attitude to me as client was very inappropriate. She kept repeating, that she started working at 3 pm. and it's not her problem. I ended up without the car after very bad communication of the whole company.

I would definitely not recommend Autos Valls for a car rental.

on the 19 August 2022 i went to Gala Galdana Shopping Center Serpentona Algendar

Cala Galdana - Menorca Next to: Hotel Melia Cala Galdana - Hotel Audax to pick up my Scooter which I had already a reservation. After a looooong time in the queue I was attended by one of the employees. The trayind to charge 100 EUR extra to retunr the Scoooter in Menorca Airport, (different location). Which on the day that made the reservation I requested by me to delivered at Menorca Airport and Paid for it. Please see reservation Nº R13120AFUELH.

the Agent said it was an "error" on the system I would need to pay more for it. It was not clear my fault.

So After that, I need to pay extra 59 euros for a taxi on the way back to the Airport.

Rent a car in Menorca, I believe it was the oldest car of the whole Island..

We had a fine for parking, 4€. We left a note in the car with the money in the hope Valls would help us out.

Now we have received an email that it went up to 40€ and that we have to arrange it ourselves but we do have to pay an additional 30€ administration cost.

A fine went from 4€ to 70€...

Disgusting how they treat their costumers.

As a Spanish citizen I am embarrassed with these type of local 'entrepreneurs' only interesting in the cash and in ripping off foreigners. Please go for one of the other brands and totally avoid Auto Valls, they rip you off at the earliest opportunity.

The staff was very helpful, kind and professional. We booked a small car and when we arrived to the collection office the lady gave us a higher category car because we had booked through the website. The price was fair and not surprises added like in other companies. Highly recomended.

Booked car hire, but plans changed so I had to cancel. I did this online 8 mths before arrival, but in the small print there is a 25e charge to do this !

What a rip off, they did nothing and got 25e from me.

Very bad practice, next time I would rent from a well know reputable company who make no charges to cancel up to the day before rental.

Would not recommend this company.

I reserved 3 months ahead of time to make sure I had a scooter once in Menorca. I reserved through web and also called them few weeks before arriving to make sure reservation was OK. They did not wanted advance payment or credit card info although I asked if this was required. The day I got to Menorca I called them becasue no one showed at the port with my scooter and they said " we cancelled your resevation because it was not paid". They ruined my vacation since they left me without a scooter in a period of the year when it is imossible to find another company with a scooter available. (august) Service was terrible and although I pressed for alternative solutions they could not come up with any.

I travelled to Menorca with my family. We were walking in Mahon center and we found a rent a car just up of the harbour. We entered in the office, the prices were good, the deal was great, the staff really nice and friendly, they recommended us what to do on the island, definitelty they offer a personalized service. Our next visit to Menorca, we rented in advance with Autos Valls and we received the usual nice treatment. I recommend this company if you plan to rent a car in Menorca.
