Think Again Rad

The battery died when parked for 3 days. Had to have a call out and new battery installed. Mechanic said old one was shot. We were then lumbered with call out fee etc.

Also charged for out of office time pickup snd delivery which was incorrect.

I am angry that we are now blamed for leaving the light on. This is totally incorrect, we were driving in daylight and had no reason to use the light. In fact we never touched the light at any stage of the hire.

Do not like the way they can just take the money from your account and we have no comeback.

Top Class Service And Delivery

we hired a car to meet us at the hamilton cruise terminal in brisbane, as advised a lady met us and showed us to our car parked nearby where a man advised us on how to return the car to the brisbane airport at the end of our hire, this was the third time we have hired a car from this branch and each time we have had exceptioal service from the two people I dealt with this time we required a large car for the four adults and our luggage and the hyundia provided was clean, tidy easy to drive and most economical for the two weeks hire, I can not recommend them more highly they are honest,helpful, caring owners and operators. many thanks to all the team at RAD and we will be back intouch when we visit next year

Easy, Friendly And No Real Issues

I booked RaD online; no issues, simple and hassle-free. Arrive CHCH airport; the instructions to find the phone for pickup was not easy; had to do a look around the airport; a big sign would be helpful. Once I made contact with RaD, a vehicle was there within minutes to take me to the RaD depot. Courtesy driver and the staff at RaD were friendly and helpful. The car was immaculate. On return; I was glad for the map RaD provided for drop off as the street name did not come up on my Navman.

Soon as the car arrived at RaD for drop off I had an immediate final inspection and straight away I was taken back to the airport for my return journey.

I would use RaD again!

Great Customer Service.

I have hired vehicles from RaD twice recently here in Tauranga for trips to Auckland (480k round trip) and I had a few unusual requests in relation to flexibility of pick up and drop off times and other details. I found the team here fantastic; a friendly and personalised service delivery that was professional, accommodating and attentive. Given the name of the company the vehicles were a revelation and the cars I hired were clean, business-like (and undented!) mid to late 2000 models at the plush end of the saloon car spectrum. I had no mechanical issues either. Needless to say RaD are significantly cheaper than other more recognised companies and, in my experience, the service is easily on par, if not much better. I thoroughly recommend this branch of RaD and will hire from them again.

Expect To Be Treated As A Waste Of Their Time

Look, if your looking for a budget car this is a great service, however if anything goes wrong on your trip expect them to be more angry that you are bothering them than helpful. The mechanic at the Christchurch location in particular was very hard to work with. If all goes to plan then your all good! If not, I suggest doing whatever you need to do without contacting them!

No Customer Relation Skills

Do NOT deal with this company Rent a Dent, Auckland International Airport. They are not only unprofessional but possess no customer service skills. When we arrived in NZ at Auckland International Airport the company failed to meet us with our rental. They finished at 4pm instead of 6.30pm as advertised on their web page 24/7, 365 days a year. We waited with children at airport for over 2 and half hours and had to arrange alternative transport. When we requested a refund they denied the request and blamed everything on us. They also failed to pay the $95 taxi fare. The staff member lied to us on numerous occasions. This company has no morals and on this matter treated us with contempt. We will not use this company again and urge other people to reconsider using Rent-a-Dent to avoid disappointment, customer dissatisfaction and loss of money due to not receiving the service paid for.

RaD - this is not a happy customer and points raised I would be upset as well. I have never had problems with RaD - it would be in your best interest to rectify this problem - after all I used your company initially by word of mouth.....

Rent A Dent Napier - Casual Racism At Its Finest

Would only ever recommend Rent a Dent Napier if you're Pakeha (White European) or if you are immune to constant sly racist comments over check-in. Be prepared to be asked incessant questions about your intentions in Napier (including whether you're here to buy up the local property) from the old male staff member, presumably the Manager. Hopefully this review might go some way to deter those who don't fit Rent a Dent's customer racial profile. There are so many other professional car rental companies inside Napier airport to choose from, please spend your hard earned tourist money elsewhere because clearly Rent a Dent Napier don't need your business!

Perfect From The Beginning To The Finish

We had an excellent experience with Rent a Dent in NZ!

My partner and I hired a 2016 SUV model to travel around NZ for 2 months this year and the experience with the car and the company was absolutely perfect.

We had only one minor issue with the wiper blade in the middle of our trip which was replaced a few days later at a Rent a Dent office in Queenstown for free.

The customer service was excellent and all the people we spoke with were polite and helpful.

I read a lot of reviews about this rental company, not all nice and I was not really confident at the beginning to go through with them. but after all, I do really recommend them as long as you hire a recent vehicule and for at least 2 weeks.

An excellent cost effective company to travel with!
