We Stayed For Two Weeks During The Middle Of Septe
We stayed for two weeks during the middle of September at the Neptune Village resort. This was a pretty good establishment except that we quickly realised that we were going to have to suffer the bass line of the disco every evening until getting on for midnight. Fortunately we were able to change rooms and move further away from the entertainment which just about solved the problem
The food was good but the restaurant had the appearance of a bit of a cafeteria. Thank goodness we were able to use the facilities of the Neptune Paradise next door, which was altogether much quieter and with a much better appointed restaurant.
Altogether a very good holiday but take note, if you want a peaceful holiday, book the Paradise rather than the Village. The advertisers should really note this point and make sure people are aware of the difference between the two establishments. We had no idea until we arrived.
That said, the food was good and plenty of it, the staff were marvelous and couldn't do enough for you. Thoroughly enjoyed the break.

We Stayed At Diani Beach Neptune Paradise Village
We stayed at Diani Beach Neptune Paradise Village Beach Resort for 2 weeks June/July 2009. Nice hotel, all inclusive, excellent pool etc. The room was large, clean and well equipped, maid service very good, in fact all the staff were friendly and polite.
We also used JT Safaris for our excursions following all the good reviews on the internet - well earned praise.
First a 3 day safari at Masai Mara, travelled by air from the local airstrip at Diani direct to the savanna, stayed at Fig Tree Camp which seemed nice until we went to Tsavo.
Next a 3 day safari by road to Tsavo East and West, staying at Aruba Lodge (brand new and very plush) Kilaguni Serena lodge (fantastic watering hole).
Over the six days we saw just about every creature imaginable except the elusive Rhino.
In summary, had a great time but the highlight was the safari in Masai.

We Spent One Week In Kenya At The Begin Of Novembe
We spent one week in Kenya at the begin of November. As many tourists we did our research on the internet before leaving in order to plan our activities and excursions. We stumbled across many positive reactions on JT safaris, a local tour operator. We contacted them the first day of our stay. The office is easy to find, across the road from the Neptune Village front gate. We were welcomed by the staff, who could already provide us with a lot of information on the many possibilities of excursions.
We decided on three excursions.
First was a one day safari in Tsavo East, we had an excellent and very carefull driver, Peter. We enjoyed the big four (elephant, lion, buffalo and even cheetah) and the two game drives through the immense savanah, guided by our calm and disciplined driver.
Our second excursion was one day Mombasa. Exactly on time we left with guy's own (airconditioned, great!) car with driver.
At Mombasa gate we picked up our city guide who has been living in Mombasa his entire life and was a certified city guide. We very much enjoyed this excursion and the very interesting input of our guide and driver.
Out third excursion was a boat trip to Wasini island. On board of the authentic "dhow" we sailed between the dolphins (douzens of them) and went snorkling at Kisite national coral park. We had lunch at Wasini island (crab lunch, never ate fresher crab) and afterwards we received a guided tour of the island. This excursion was managed by the locals of Wasini island who all spoke proudly and with a lot of fire about their small island.
We were very satisfied with the entire organization of the excursions. The owner runs his business in a very professional and correct way and is a very promising young entrepreneur. We are very happy to see that we supported the local economy since money comes back to the local people and on top of that we saved ourselves over 70 euros per person compared to the excursions proposed by neckermann
