Skala Kalloni, Aegeon Hotel

A glorious ideal place in the sun that is typically Greek. true hospitality, simple furnishings and very peaceful. No children so very relaxing. clean rooms and a basic but good cold buffet breakfast.

The Aegeon hotel is located in a rural location with no traffic noise. It you appreciate a tranquil setting this spot is ideal. There are 47 rooms rooms and our was a good size, with a nice balcony and it had air conditioning and a fridge. The bathroom was very good by Greek standards with constant hot water and a shower curtain ( unusual for the Greek islands). The cold buffet breakfast was plentiful with a reasonable choice although it was the same each day. The staff are reception were great helpful and friendly - they treated you more like friends than clients. The swimming pool was small with virtually no shallow end but there were free sunbeds and umbrellas. The lovely poolside bar with very comfortable seating was open in the evening and many guests met there after returning from their meals out. A book exchange library was available. You could hire a pedal cycle from reception at 5 euros aday and a safe deposit box for 15 euros a week. The beach was 6 minutes walk and the town square a 14 minutes stroll. The nearest mini market was 12 minutes walk which was a real bugbear when lugging back heavy bottles of water. This hotel is highly recommended for couples who want a lazy holiday with peace and quite. Not recommended for families. We would certainly return here without hesitation.

The Aegeon Hotel is an ideal choice for anyone wanting a lazy holiday in an extremely peaceful location. The rooms here are a good size with a fridge and Air Conditioning. The balcony in large and the bathroom excellent with constant hot water and a shower curtain (very rare for the Greek islands). The cold breakfast is plentiful with a good choice although there is no daily variety. The staff and reception are exceptionally friendly and helpful and they treat you more as friends rather than clients. There is a book exchange library here. The swimming pool is small with virtually no shallow end, hopeless for non or weak swimmers. Free sunbeds and umbrellas. The pool bar is well run and is open well into the evening. guests mingle here after returning from their meal out. The beach is only 6 minutes walk and town square about 14 minutes easy stroll. we thought the biggest bugbear was the nearest mini market was a 12 minute walk which was a real drag when carrying heavy bottles of water back. Pedal cycles are available to hire at reception at 5 euros a day and a safe deposit box is 15 Euros a week to hire. We can highly recommend this hotel to couples who appreciate peace and quite with good service. Not really recommended for family holidays.

The Aegeon hotel is a real gem and for its classification it is a high standard. The rooms are larger than normal with a fridge and air conditioning. The bathroom was very good, the shower had almost constant hot water and a shower curtain. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It is really peaceful here with no traffic noise and the beach is about 7 minutes walk. The tavernas are a little further. Probably the only slight negative is the small swimming pool which has virtually no shallow water. Skala Kalloni has no bank and the nearest cash machine is 3 kilometres away so you might want to hire a bicycle from reception at 5 Euros a day. Credit cards are not accepted in many places within the small and authentic Greek resort. If you want a lazy and quiet holiday in lovely flat surroundings this is ideal, especially for couples. Not really a family place.

A familly run business. Very friendly staff, overview the golf of Skala Kalloni. Also, rooms where spacious and very clean.

Lovely, friendly hotel. Staff very nice and can't do enough to help. Rooms, typically Greek, but comfortable. Only a short walk to beach too.

Can't wait to get back there and I would love to live there.
