We Went Sept 2003 The Lindia Thalassa Apartments A
We went sept 2003 The Lindia Thalassa apartments are in a lovely location, very close to a beautiful sandy beach. The rooms were very spacious and well equipped, we were impressed that there was an electric kettle - unusual for Greece. The pool was reasonably large, very clean and well maintained. The shop on site was well stocked with long opening hours, if a little expensive, as you would expect. Pefkos itself is a beautiful, quiet resort. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from, but few noisy bars and clubs(if any). For serious foodies visit Kavos restaurant, just above the little beach at the end of the resort, reached by wading through the sea when calm, or walking round by road. The food in most restaurants is good, but kavos managed to be a little more inventive and sophisticated with the same range of available ingredients. The greek cheese starter, served with pine nut and basil sauce is to die for!
We managed to hire a fully insured car for 3 days for 50 euros, unlimited milage, but it was in september nearing the end of season so they were willing to barter.
Prassonisi was definately worth visiting, as was Rhodes old town. We also found a beautiful sleepy little bay in the village of Haraki, north of Lindos. With sunbeds and lovely taverna, even ducks on the water!
