Air Hotel Milano Linate

The outward appearance of Air Hotel Milano Linate is nice but nothing special, the inside is very well kept. There seems to be a lot of upholstery but it adds to the classy atmosphere and the hotel is very clean.

The restaurant is very good, good service and good food although I would recommend adding sides to your order as the portions are not very big. It cost 18 EUs for a bottle of rose, 18 EU for a steak and chips; a can of coke was 4 EU.

The rooms are well kept, although the hairdryer was broke. There is a great telly, comfy beds, nice bathroom with extras like shower cap shower gel etc.

I would recommend ringing the hotel (there are multilingual staff) and checking your reservation for details because we booked double bed but never got it because no vacancies. Depending on your room you may occasionally be disturbed by planes, I awoke a few times however my fiance didn't.

There is very little to do near the hotel, the beaches are just a lake with a bit of sand, nothing special. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to facilities, although it, you have to pay 5 EU to access then we could only find an outdoor freezing pool where you had to wear swim hats.

I recommend taking the free shuttle to the airport, catch bus to the centre of Milan for 1 EU and occupy yourselves there. From Bergamo airport travelling to this hotel you have to go the bus windows in the airport and buy a ticket for 17 E to take you to Milan, then in Milan get bus 73 back to Linate airport and ring hotel for free shuttle or walk by turning right as soon as you step out of airport.

I would avoid taxis as they charge from the moment you call them and they won't be hailed in town. The bus service is fantastic and available from early till midnight.

Eating out ranges from 12-30 EU per main. NB Milan is very well built, very romantic I appreciated the ambience for marriage proposal.
