Hotel Ranieri

the hotel was located in a quiet part of Rome. Has charm. we loved it. we could walk to bars, restaurants and shopping without a problem. take the hop on an hop off bus to go anywhere you want. a great bargain compared to the taxi prices. the only thing i did not like about the hotel was that depending on what time you checked in there might not be any one to take up your luggage. there are stairs to enter the hotel. depending on your room, there could be stairs to get to your room. this hotel is not for anyone who is older. we stayed there twice. the first time, the man at the desk, asked a woman to take our luggage up. she was very upset about it and in italian made it known that he was crazy. i had to help her with the luggage. the second time that week when we returned, there was a young man there to take up our luggage. apparently he must not work all the time. when we checked out, we had to carry our luggage down the main stairs while the man sat at the desk. he did not even consider helping us. do not know if this is an italian thing but my friend and i did not like it. that is the only reason i would not return to this hotel.
