Villa Animado Montechero Portugal

After a few months of waiting to be here, we have to be honest we were a little disappointed by the villa on arrival - health and safety is a little poor. Tiles broken, trip hazard etc

The pictures make it look bright and airy.

Few problems

- pool has not been cleaned whilst here.

- Paths we had to clean and sweep.

- one set of keys is an absolute nightmare and you feel locked in if someone popped out and the front door is so fragile.

- awful smells in the villa urine, sewage, musky and just damp.

- beds were so uncomfortable and not enough blankets as unfortunately it has been cold whilst we have been here.

The villa appearance and size is lovely for a big family as we are but they need to get another set of keys and sort the kitchens out as someone else mentioned the utensils and facilities is very poor. Things are obviously not maintained and maintained.

Also a very noisy area building work and drunks.

It is a villa near to all things shops, resturants and we visited some lovely resturants and the beaches are beautiful. Pools is also a lovely size but we have found it cold!!

Rep was helpful and lovely.

Villa plus

We booked this Villa for a family holiday ages ranging from 18 months to 65 yearsand although we had a really enjoyable holiday there were a number of things which could be improved on:

There were 4 kitchens in the villa but only one had utensils and appliances and even these were not of a very high quality ie one size of wine glasses very few other glasses no water jugs no small sauce pans and very few kinives and spoons for food preparation.

There were only one set of keys to the villa . Those of us sleeping upstairs could not access downstairs rooms until someone sleeping downstairs opened the doors.

The villa was only cleaned once during the 2 weeks including linen change and towels were changed only 3 times.

The pool was cleaned regularly but the surrounding area had to be cleaned by ourselves.
