This Hotel Is Going Down Hill Fast

The good points first.

The room was a nice size for 2 people and clean towels everyday, and the pools outside were lovely to laze around and reception staff helpful.

The bad points.

The lifts kept breaking down, the room floor was never swept, the food was repetitive same stuff day after day and all of it was cold and under cooked. I watched the so called chef cook the chicken breast and pork slices on the hot plate and he sizzled one side then sizzled the other side and put it in tray for people to eat. I cut open a chicken in front of him to show it was still raw an he said it was fine, which it blatantly wasn't.. All the other food was the same under cooked and cold, even the kids chicken nuggets were still pink in the middle. We either had to eat salad or eat out to be safe from food poisoning which I had on the first night. The bar is under manned and the queue for drinks is constantly too long, about 20 people long an the bar staff slow and miserable. The 1st pool only has sun up to about 12.30pm then it is in shade so everyone try to get loungers by pool 2 which has sun all day. The entertainment is very poor, people were leaving the stage area in steady streams it was that bad.

I wouldn't recommend all inclusive here as you will be eating and drinking out most nights....

Other guests I talked to had the same opinion as me to the poor quality of food and entertainment, and a few of them had stayed there the year befor and said it was much different then.

The fire alarm went off 6.25 on a sunday morning with only half the guests leaving the hotel. No staff met us at muster points they remained in the hotel. When I asked reception what had happened they said the kitchen staff set alarms off. I told him that there were people outside with crying babies and kids not knowing what was going on an he looked at me blankly. So I asked him to go outside and tell them that it was fine to go back inside. If that was a real fire people could have been killed...

This is my honest opinion of the mirlos tordos hotel now called Palmanova 1 and Palmanova 2.

The Soup Kitchen From Hell

haveing arrived late due to flight and bagage delays we were offered burgers or chicken bites in the tordos for our supper wow.the meals are of the worst quality we had ever been served in a hotel.the bar staff were rude abrupt and at times downright abusive.you could not get a sunlounger as they were booked by people at 4/5am in the morning.the seatng area for the night entertainment was a no go unless you sat at a table from 6pm and didnt move.the reception and catering staff were nice as were the cleaners.as to the thomson plane i thought all the world war two bombers had been decomisioned. the seats would not stay upright and the cabi staff were falling out with people to sit up.the overhead screens did not work and looked like my grandads old valve set.you could not hear yourself due to the internal noise from the engines.and i kid you not i hsd to replace the internal window myself row 7 seat a.my daughter was terified.im not going to write anymore as its to upseting.

Have Just Returned From A 10 Day Stay At The Mirlo

Have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Mirlos/Tordos and a brilliant holiday was had by all the family (2 adults 2 children). We booked direct with Sol and were allocated a large family room with 5 beds in two separate areas with plenty of wardrobe space, however, the balcony was very small but we didn't use it so wasn't too bothered. The entertainment was excellent with something for both children and adults and the shows were excellent too. Food was plentiful and even if you were a fussy eater as my children are, there was something for everyone. If not you only had to ask one of the chefs and they would make sure whatever you asked for would be made ready for your next sitting. The sun bed situation wasn't too bad to say it was the last week of the children's summer holiday. Yes the prime spots with sun from 0800 to 1800 were taken early but if you weren't too bothered about the sun all day then there were plenty of beds. The beach is only a stone through away and is very child friendly and clean. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel but if you want a larger family room you may be better booking direct with Sol as Thompsons/Thomas Cook customers were told there weren't any large family rooms which wasn't true.

The Hotel Staff Are All Very Helpful, They Do All

The Hotel Staff are all very helpful, They do all they can to help you. The hotel is very clean and all staff are very well presented are never rude or cheeky. I think the Flintstones theme for the children make it an even better hotel. I would definitely go back. The pool area is great and they also have an other area for sunbathing. The entertainment at night is good to watch for adults and kids. The variety of foods were also brilliant they had different things every night.

Overall We Really Enjoyed Our Week Here. I Would D

Overall we really enjoyed our week here. I would definitely go back on the basis that if the kids are happy then mum and dad are happy too. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is really clean and fresh throughout. I wouldn't go all inclusive for more than a week based on the food and would always ask for a bigger room. A really great family holiday

There Is A Wide Range Of Food With Meals And There

There is a wide range of food with meals and there are lots of things for children to do, there is internet access. The rooms are quite large. The entertainment is quite poor and there are only 2 lifts for the whole hotel which is an issue when the hotel is busy. The hotel rooms do not get cleaned very often. Nice hotel in the centre of Palma nova with a 5 minute walk from the beach.

Just got back from staying at the hotel from 4 - 18 August. Went for 2 weeks with my husband and 3 children. Stayed at the Mirlos hotel all inclusive which was better than the Tordos. Entertainment was brill, kids really enjoyed it. Rooms very clean food was nice as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with children it was brill. I would definitely go back next year.
