Caleta De Fuste Apartments, Villa Florida

The Villa Florida is a nice basic hotel, pretty to look at, beds and sofa bed comfy for sleep, slightly noisy in mornings from adjoining rooms, but not unreasonable. Rooms very clean, slight problem as you have to sign a form with the cleaner if you don't want your room to be cleaned and they sometimes called at 9am, which was a bit too early for us. Bathroonms are nicely fitted, bath is a bit small, but shower fine. Bar great and pool area clean, pool not that cold once you're in. Staff of hotel and separately run bar very friendly, even brought me an extra pint when I didn't know it was 2-4-1 happy hour! All in all - excellent for the money and would be good even if wasn't such good value!

Resort quiet but nice restaurants - Rincon Canario (Great authentic food), El Bodeguita (Lovely Italian food) and Mambo Steakhouse (Meaty/Fishy goodness!) all get good mentions from us, all had super friendly staff. Flower of Scotland great for sport, karaoke and friendly punters, 60's Bar another good spot.

The beach nearer to the Museo de Sal the best - only 10mins walk south max from main beach

Only bad point was disgustingly bad service from Caleta Cycles, unfortunately the only place to hire bikes locally that we were aware of. One bike was in poor repair, constant chain slippages, and worn cogs. Refused to give a refund after we returned within an hour of trying to get the bike working, denied it was broken at the same time as offering to fix it and became abusive when we explained our planned day had been ruined. Way to go guys. Avoid!

Caleta is a gem if you want a nice quiet break with a little nightlife and Villa Florida ideal budget base to start from! I guess some people may moan a bit about the hotel if they're a bit uptight about certain details, but to be honest, you shouldn't be shopping at this end of the market if you will pick fault with the few minor imperfections...

Found accomodation good value for money. Resort is quiet but beach is nice. Bar on site Red Lion Pool Bar not much good, expensive. Organised a few trips to other parts of the island, loved Oasis Park what a great day out. Will be back to see rest of island.

The people who looked after the tourists around the restaurants and the bars were fantastic.

Problems we incurred at this Villa Florida Apartment was the cleaners, they came when they felt like it and never put back on clean pillowcases or any at all. When we asked for clean towels each time we had smelly old towels, lucky we had our beach towels with us.

We noticed at 9am on the evenings you couldnt call upon help because they locked up reception. Also we experienced alot of trouble around the pool and around the venue. May we add that we told the rep about this she said that she as had that many complaints from guests about the towels, and the venue why is it that thomas cook has not dealt with these issues.

No umbrella's around the pool at anytime which meant alot of people got sun burnt and heat stroke.

Also the apartments are not fit for a family of 3 adults and 1 child.You have one room with two single beds, but for the other adult you have a two seater sofa.A pull out bed for the child , that can just about take the weight of my 8 year old child.

Every one is very friendly at the Villa Florida. We go 4 times a year and have made a lot of people over the years. Very clean but basic. The doors on the apartment need to be more secure. The staff that own the pool bar are brill and the food is excellent

Villa Florida, Caleta De Fuste Apartments, is in a great location, easy walk to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The Red Lion Pool Bar is great, lovely people and great food. The rooms are basic but comfortable enough.

Went for 2 weeks at the end of March and have booked to go back in November.

Would go back to Villa Florida again in a second, it's only 10 minutes from the airport so the transfer is good and it means you start your holiday even quicker.
