Be Careful.......

I will write a full review on my return but for all of you travelling here beware of thieves!!! We have been here a week and there have been four burglaries whilst guests are in their accommodation. Do not leave bags/jewellery on view. If you are going to another room lock your doors. You have been warned ( seeing as the hotel won't !!!! )

Mainly For Couples

we was recommeneded this place by thomson as being great for families,we stayed here the first 2 weeks in august, all i can say that was gd about this hols is the apartments as they were always clean and they are a gd size for families other than that the rest is bad the pool was in a mess the tiles were comin off which caused a few injuries, there was no entertainment as 3 of the shows cancelled the first wk so we only got to watch one show that wk and the second wk the same happened again so we only got to watch 2 shows the 2 wks we were there, there was one guy who worked extremely hard with the kids club he did his best to provide something for the kids to do,the breakfast, afternoon and evening meals were ok but we did get fed up after a wk as it was the same sort of food the second wk,the snack bar was ok but there was only one member of staff servin so u were always waitin but the staff were friendly and always sed hello and gdbye, the first wk we arrived the life guard was a miserable sod he approched our 3 yr old child and hit him as he was messin with the jaccuzi seat, the place was also outrun by the french and germans which are very rude and arrogant,i would say this place is better as self catering only and mainly for couples as if u were bored or fed up u could go off and spend a few hrs in pierros which is a five min walk and it is the main place to be.plus in the thomson brouchure it says that air con is included but wen we arrived we were told we had to pay 3 euros a day plus 12 euros deposit for the remote.

Family Holiday

"Cay beach , Fuerteventura"

The holiday.. Well after reading the reviews about cay beach I was a little nervous, but I should,nt have worried the place was better than I first thought. The food was plentyful, hot, and lots of choices. The villas where lovely and clean , and plenty big enough for a small family, their was a kettle, toaster, and plenty of pots should you want to make a snack. But the entertainment was terrible....... The man who did most of the entertaining was great.. But the company gave litlle or no thought to the families that would be staying in to enjoy their evening relaxing in the bars at cay beach..... The staff were really good and very helpful and great with the children.... The pool side bar staff were perticular good with the constance flow of people.. Overall a great holiday.. Would go back ,, but they need to sort out the entertainment ..... The location was good, and not to far to walk to the beach, plenty of shops, bars, etc, In our party was 6 adults and 5 children ages 3,5 ,5,12,16 . So as you can see we would have enjoyed our holiday much better if their was much more for the children to do.

Our holiday was july 18th 1st August 2012

Nice Villas.....do Not Go All Inclusive!

Lovely villas for a self catering holiday. We had chosen the all inclusive option, not recommended. The "restaurant" is like a supermarket cafe, tables not set, you had to find your own cuttlery, salt pepper etc in little paper sachets and most mornings there were no cups for tea or coffee. The quality of food was shocking, this is supposed to be a 3 star establishment. We had gone with the plan of eating out as this was our 2nd holiday in the past few months so although the food was an issue it did not spoil our holiday though I would feel really sorry for people who had budgeted for an All Inclusive holiday. I would like to add we are not fussy eaters though we like our food to be edible.

Pool area was fine, though sunbeds are very close together, never a problem getting a bed though.

Beers and soft drinks from the pool bar were self service which saved you having to wait in a queue for drinks and the pool bar also served snacks outwith meal times. The paella on the Monday was nice.

The location is ideal, a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and resort centre where there were many nice restaurants. I would recommend the Slow Boat chinese, food was delicious.

All in all a good week in the sun and would recommend the Cay Beach but only as a self ctering option.

Cay Beach Bungalows - Caleta De Fuste

Just returned from a 2 week family holiday.

Great value for money. Pool was great, always able to get a sun bed, lots of activities if you want to take part.

Staff always friendly and very helpful. One animation guy who worked so hard and kept all entertained.

Bungalows were of a good size and laid out so that there was a degree of privacy.

Pleasantly suprised. Liked the hotel and the resort and will definately return again. Bearing in mind how much we paid we have no complaints at all although fussy eaters may struggle occasionally.

Cay Beach Caletta Hotel

The pool, accommodation and general facilites were a decent standard for the overall price. There could be improvements made in the food offering but the overall price needs to be taken into consideration. At the end of the day you get what you pay for so we were happy enough.

Big plus was the pool if you have kids - no over officous lifeguards doubling as the 'fun police', large and spacious and enough room for all to enjoy themselves including well organised pool games such a volley ball, waterpolo, water aerobics, etc.

General orgnaisation of activities was more than sufficuent and there was always something taking place for you to participate in if you wanting to drag yourself away from the sunbathing.

Unlike other hotels I've experienced in the past there were ample sunbeds and we had no trouble securing ones we wanted in locations that suited to keep an eye on the kids in the pool.

THe hotel room was fine and had al lhte necessary facilities, including a fridge to keep al lthat water icecold which was particurly welcome come the mornings,
