Corralejo, Oasis Papagayo Apartments

Apt 41A owned by the lovely Elvira. Top floor with sunny midday to sunset, nice and quiet February - April. Complex full with swimmers and other athletes on trraiining sessions. Apartment larger than average, sitting room with sofa bed and large flat screen TV with the usual free sat channels, BBC and SKY news and 2 channels with English films and reality channel (they were rubbish). Also 200 German channels.

Large bedroom with very comfortable separate beds. Galley kitchen with 2 rings,a little bit of a nuisance if you do your own cooking for 2 months. Large bathroom opposite kitchen, but all Oasis 1 beds are all the same incl. the paintings on the wall.

The complex is set on the outskirts of Corralejo so the walk to tom is 20 mins and nearest beach 30 mins. The complex supermarket is very expensive and does not sell newspaper, not even Spanish ones. Recommend the supermarket in the Campanario centre where they have got tapas and Italian cafés very cheap and nice.

The dunes are some 4kilometers away but busstop is right outside the and will also take you to the capital and from there to the rest of the island. You can rent a car for around £25/day, roads are very good and not at all congested. The island is very peaceful and relaxing but got plenty of entertainment as well so you won't get bored.

The only bad thing about this for me was the location, too long a walk boring walk with nothing to look at, OK, taxi down is

About three euros but for a long stay , 6 euros a day is lot of money.

this year will be our 5th time. the complex is what it is. a family holiday. it is aimed at keeping the kids entertained and happy. 10 till 4 none stop enterainment at pool side, games competitons quiz's.night time entertainment, great for kids, could do with a bit more work for adults. pool space is huge, no getting up at 6 to get a sun bed, complex is big 5 pools, 3 are salt water soon get use to it, great for tan. 2 tennis courts football pitch, volley ball/ sandpit. rooms are a good size, chunky wooden furniture.2 electric ring hobs small fridge. food on all inclusive is not as bad as some have made out. reps are great with the kids. walk to town centre 10-15mins. taxi back about 3 euros. shop om site is expensive. we have always had a great holiday here.
