Aguamarina Golf Apartments - September 2011
Second visit in 2 years to the Aguamarina Golf Apartments, booked through Lowcost Holidays. Set in a quiet part of Tenerife, the layout of the building provides apartments with a pool/seaview and also a view of the Marina. Looked forward to sitting on the balcony every morning, watching the sun rise and fishing boats go out to sea.
Rooms are modern, clean, comfortable and well equipped with all that most people will need for their holiday. All the usual facilities you would expect, the pool area overlooks the Marina and sea and guests can also use the facilities at the adjoining Aguamarina Golf Hotel. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful and a courtesy bus provides transport to Las Americas and Los Christianos.
Good selection of restuarants locally and organised trips/car hire for those that wish to get out and about.
Would definately recommend these apartments and booking through Lowcost Holidays, already thinking ahead to next year.

Went here in Feb 10 & had a fab time. The apartments themselves cannot be faulted.Very large modern & airy. Fully equipped kitchen with full size oven & fridge freezer, kettle etc. Lovely bathroom with bath, bidet & separate shower plus hairdryer. Large bedroom with huge wardrobes, dressing table & exit onto balcony. Large lounge area with tv, sofa beds & exit onto large balcony with furniture. All rooms have sea & pool view. Lovely clean pool area which was peaceful with sea views - but further pools available at hotel joined by walkway with entertainmebt & kids club. Pool towels available for refundable deposit. Breakfast excellent with choice of fruits, cereals, yoghurts, bread & pastries plus freshly ordered eggs, omelettes, pancakes etc plus sausages, bacon, tea, coffee & juices. Evening meals taken in hotel were also very good. Wide choice with soups, pasta, salad, choice of pots, pizza, fresh meats & fish being cooked live - wide choice of desserts. Drinks reasonably priced but beware - wine is watered down so ask for it to be changed if this happens. Only bad point was made to wait hour or so to check in when rooms were available. Also rather isolated resort - buses to Los Christianos infrequent & bun fight to get on for return - taxis pricey.

I Thought Aguamarina Golf Apartments Was Great. My
I thought Aguamarina Golf Apartments was great. My family and I went in November and there wasn't much to do! However we went to San Blas. Great value for money - we got 2 DS chips with over 100 games on for £25! The walk was long but worth it. We passed two cats both very friendly. Another day we went to Los Cristianos. Went to the beach for an hour then had a lovely meal.
The hotel itself was great. Comfortable, spacious rooms. A veranda overlooking the beach. The thing I really liked though was the beach. I was drawn to it. I found one volcanic rock shaped like a heart. It is a wonderful souvenir. The pool was large but also a bit salty. When I jumped in salt water was in my eyes!!
I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

I've Stayed At This Hotel Twice Now And I Have To
I've stayed at this hotel twice now and I have to say that I think it is excellent. They have a nice pool, and it was kept clean at all times. One the things that was really oustanding was the food that was on offer. Quite a few people have mentioned the Japanese restaurant, and I will too because the food there is great. The rooms are quite spacious and there are nice views from the balcony. When I visit Tenerife again I will certainly be staying in these apartments.

Having Read The Other Reviews I Did Not Think They
Having read the other reviews I did not think they were fair. The pool was better than most (for how much we paid), clean everywhere in the hotel and the food was so so good (especially the Japanese restaurant). There were also a lot of good other restaurants in the local area - definately go for a wonder around here.
Mostly we were just realy impressed with the size of the rooms, and how clean and bright they were. I say give it a try for yourself!

Rooms big and clean, pool area good with pleasant views from all balconys. The Japanese restaraunt below Aguamarina appartments is excellent, great value food. Reception really helpful and efficient.
Area around apartments disappointing, not much to do or see, marina could be a serious attraction but they missed the boat! Restaurants unimaginative and all the same, has'nt anyone any imagination? Please tell me pics of egg and beans have had there day? The place is a major building site, and on the whole you get the feeling the staff at Aguamarina could not give a damn! The Saga brigade have a major presence in this place so if your looking for younger life stay away.
With the exception of one person the reception staff need training in manners and how to do their job, they are decidedly rude and arrogant.
Coffee dreadful.

I Have Stayed At The Aguamarina Golf Five Times No
I have stayed at the Aguamarina Golf five times now, every time the staff were wonderful, the room was cleaned daily.
It is near the Marina, which is now complete and the Winter Gardens Bowling.
We now stay at the Winter Gardens when we go out as we prefer a self catering apartment now our family has grown!

Without Doubt, The Rudest Members Of Staff I Have
Without doubt, the rudest members of staff I have ever had the misfortune of coming across.
The unacceptable service began when checking in, we stood around for 10 minutes waiting for the one member of staff who was actually shuffling paper and ignoring us totally.
We then handed over our paperwork for the booking and told the paperwork was not sufficient as the vouchers were not as required.
After insisting further that this was the only paperwork we had, the lady then agreed that the paperwork was actually correct and processed this in a manner that was clear it was actually never a problem in the first place.
After a further wait for 10 minutes of seemingly pointless paper shuffling and mumbling in Spanish we were eventually given our room keys.
At this point I thought it prudent to ask why we had waited nearly 25 minutes to check in whilst there were no other customers present and we had the correct paperwork all along, the response was more mumbling in Spanish.
At this stage my friend made a comment on the poor service which in turn was greeted by a torrent of abuse actually accusing us of being rude!
By this time at least another 6 people had arrived at reception desk, despite this the receptionist was now becoming gradually more rude and loud.
At this point I was feeling myself becoming irate and thought it prudent to go to our room and put this down to a bad night etc.
During the rest of our stay the general attitude of all staff in the hotel was incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful, ie if you had no change they would make a large point of looking thoroughly inconvenienced and if you asked for change for the Internet connection it would seem like a major disruption etc.
On the second morning two of us sat on a table set for four in the relatively empty breakfast hall, we were then asked if there were four of us and where were the other two people. We replied there was only two of us and this was greeted by yet further mumblings and a five minute spell of watching and listening to two members of staff shaking their heads and clearly discussing us in full view of everyone about how inconvenient it was that we had taken a larger table than needed.
Throughout our stay there were many other poor service points were shown which I will not bore you with.
However when we checked out, we noticed the same lady as previously mentioned on reception, we were pleased to see she was not alone and a different member of staff could process our payment, we handed our keys over to the other lady on reception who also had an incredibly unfriendly manner.
We were literally about to place our pin number for the credit card payment when this lady grabbed the machine and would not let us enter our pin until we had actually apologised for upsetting the receptionist on the first night!
We were actually in a rush at this time and had no time for these ridiculous shenanigans, so I grabbed my card and left.
I hope all who see this review, see just how disgusted I am at the treatment we received and would ask all who read this to be very careful when choosing this hotel.
I pride myself in being very fair and not a complainer but I am simply stunned on how rude a staff base are allowed to be. The strongest memory of our stay were these incidents.
The hotel itself and surroundings are very, very nice but it shows you how bad the staff are when I advise you 100% to avoid this place based on their shambolic attempt at service!
