Jardin Isla Bonita Resort

Well having just returned back from a Week all inclusive to the Isla bonita / now called the Jardin isla bonita so i believe , i felt i needed to write a review to put people minds out at rest after we read so many horrible reviews beofre we left the UK .

The hotel is rated a 4 Star , I have travelled all around the world and it isnt a 4 star , more like a 3 star ..

The rooms are spot less however we were in block B and after speaking to a few families whilst there if you request block A then this is the better side to be on , also on some of the pictures you will see these amazing rooms with flat screen tvs and other perks , yeah you get this if you upgrade about 12 euros a night (not sure if per person aswell ) sorry ..

Like I said we stayed in 317B rooms was average size for 2 adults and 2 kids , the views from front balcony were really nice of the sea , however you are a quite a busy main road so been warned ..

The entertainment was OK ! I mean typical holiday entertainment but with a combination of lots of free drinks it gets better .. My sons aged 11 and 12 loved the hotel as loads to do , there was a kids club and a games area so to be honest on a nighttime with a combination of all the friends they made we didnt see them half the night ..

The FOOD !!! Hmm its like shopping at Asda on a saturday morning but without the trollies !!! The restaurant was so busy , you sometimes struggled to get a table and then got into a arguement as someone had reserved a table with a sachet of coffee ! ... The food itself is just ok ! very basic but if they are cooking for over 400 people then I can kind of understand the quality is not grand .. ! There is lots of choice but found it always to be the same , my family ate Chicken , Chips and Rice and Veg oh and pizza nearly all week so ... The puddings are delicious thou I am surprised I am not double in body weight the amount of desserts I ate ...

To be honest I am simply dissappointed that it is supposed to be a 4 star and is not , we visited a few hotles whilst there as we love Tenerife and found other 4 stars with much better standards .

To do get for what you paid and no this holiday wasnt cheap , we meet a group of 11 or 12 i think it was and they paid about £850 each per person so...

The swimming pool , well if you dont get a towel out before 7am then forget it , and reading all the comments that it was foreigner doing this , it was actually 99% british placing there towels there , we only managed to get 2 beds once in a week and that was after 2pm the day we arrived ! I know the life guard does get rid of towels in the morning and cover them in water or chuck them in the pool and to be honest I dont blame him as it takes the biscuit ! ...

Just arrived back after another wonderful 2 weeks at this hotel, myself and family have been going back every year for the last 12 years ( we love it).a few years ago this hotel was taken over by the adonis group and at the time of changing hands we did notice a drop in standard, which is usually the norm when a business is taken over. however over the last few years we have noticed lots of improvments, rooms refurbished, kids club overhauled, bar areas repainted and refurbished plus many more. The staff are friendly and work Hard. The food is improving all the time, but you have got to be fussy if you can't find anything to eat as there is a big selection. i myself love the breakfasts, which i never have at home, so i usually put on weight LOL, the sweets are beautiful and the chocolate fountain is to die for. The entertainment is great and the animation team work hard, all the kids love it.They have a public relations person Her name is Kitty, she is brilliant and cannot do enough for you, any problems you may have, she sorts them straight away, nothings too much trouble and she always has a smile on her face. Myself and my family will continue to go back, as we feel comfortable and at home, we have also made a lot of friends, who themselves continue to go back year after year, and its great to meet up. I would like to say to all the staff, keep up the good work, your doing an excellent job. see you next year
