As An English Resident In Lliber I Find That It Is

As an english resident in Lliber i find that it is very easy to get on with the locals and be involved in the village as long as you try a little. The spanish here are very open and they serve their foreigners as much as they serve their locals. It is a lovely little village which hits its peak during the last two weeks of august when we celebrate our fiestas, which are street parties which include religious processions bands at night bull running water fights big paellas and just a general sense of community as everyone comes together to enjoy the fiestas. People do however have to remember that they are in spain not many of the locals speak english but the majority do understand and as long as tourists try they try. Don't judge the actual village on your experience at the urbanisation.

A Small Urbanisation At The End Of Lliber. Permane

A small urbanisation at the end of Lliber. Permanent residents of these apartments tend to think they are still living in England, leading to the locals naming it Poco Inglaterra (Little England). Do not let on that you are staying here or you will be tarred with the same brush, and will be ignored by the locals and will find it hard to get served in the bars too. If you want a quiet holiday this is not the place to come as the apartments are not very sound proof, and you can hear other people coming in and out at all hours.

I live in Lliber and have done so for a couple of months, Lliber is a beautiful little village and the locals are lovely and very friendly.

I didn't here mopeds racing up and down at all hours. The bars are really nice and once again the locals are so friendly. I would rather live here than move back to England any day.
