I Just Got Back From A 3 Day Business Trip At Coco

I just got back from a 3 day business trip at coco reef and I am going to be very very honest and straight forward about this. if you dont believe me message me and i will respond, i will even give you my number to call me. As soon as I entered the room when they brought me to the room it smelt like urine, I asked the guy who brought my bags up if I could get some air freshener, I never did get it. That night I went to take a shower and realized that only hot water worked and the water was scorching hot. I reported to front desk and no one came to check it. I had to fill the tub and wit until the water cooled to take a bath. The same thing happened to my friends in room 204, 206, 207 and 210. The next morning rain fell and water came gushing down into my room on the bed and the floor which flooded the room. I was in room 205 and my friend was in 206 and had the same problem. We reported to front desk about 7:15am and didn't get any room until approximately 2:45pm and no one could tell us what was happening during that time. When spoke with the duty manager (a tall dark lady with glasses), she lied to me saying a tree fell on the roof and that's why it leaked. I don't appreciate being lied to, I walked the hotel and trust me there was no tree that fell on any roof anywhere. But buckets were all over the lobby area as well when it was leaking (my room is a good distance away from the lobby). When I asked the lady how I would be compensated she said she can't upgrade my room because I didn't pay from my personal account that the government paid for my room (it was a business trip). As if the government money was not good enough. I told her that is unacceptable because she was giving me attitude as if I sabotaged my room and my friend's room. She said also there was no room to upgrade me to. I was upset and spoke to the bell boy when he was moving my luggage to a next room, only to find out that two other rooms other than me and my friends room was flooded as well land they were upgraded. Pissed at this point I went back downstairs to speak with this liar of a lady when told me very loudly and aggressively in the lobby in front of other guests, "well you could check out if you want". I had to walk away because I would have tripped bad bad. The next day want to get lunch at 2:30 and there was only one drumstick, two pieces of lamb and salad. Lunch was supposed to be from 12-3. At dinner the beef and pork smelt like bad like stale egg and we could not eat anything. Everything else was finished. And if you do happen to have tan or dark skin, the attitude you get is that you are not good enough to be at their hotel. So for those of you who are thinking of going to this hotel, I would say, yes the surroundings are beautiful, but everything else stinks, it would surely wreck you experience in beautiful Tobago. This was the worst experience I ever had in my life!

Coco Reef Resort Is A Beautiful Resort, But Didn't

Coco Reef Resort is a beautiful resort, but didn't quite live upto what I was expecting after all I had heard about the place. The week after we left, Whitney Houston stayed there, so it can't be all bad. Overall attentive staff, fantastic manager. Beautiful beach, safe swimming for the kids. Only bad point was coming home.

Everything In This Hotel The Coco Reef Resort In T

Everything in this hotel the Coco Reef Resort in Tobago is top notch, from food to service to beach to pool. Prices are high but you pay for what you get. Great wine list, fresh food, clean rooms. I would recommend.

Although the Hotel Staff were wonderful I feel that it was not enough to persuade me to visit this Hotel again. Updating is badly needed and more attention paid to the pool area is vital it was so bad some days that you were put off by going into it. Menu needs to be more varied especially the choice of veggies and salads, which never changed. This hotel has one great asset and that is the staff without them I would give this place the thumbs down it's a pity that there are not more good things to say about the hotel itself.

Got married here in November 2005. Absolutely fantastic. Would love to return one day before I'm old and grey!

Lovely, it is a non-commercialised island and I've been told Coco Reef is the best hotel on the island by a couple who had previously stayed at the Hilton, Tobago!

The bonus is the World famous Pigeon Point beach that is only a 10 minute walk away and Coco Reef has it's own private beach which was lovely, especially for walking along at sunset. We couldn't believe our eyes, watching the fire-flies!

All the staff were extremely friendly and on our wedding night, just the same as described by other reviews on the Review Centre website below, we too were treated like royalty.

We left our young daughter at home but from what I could see of the way other small children were treated, she would of lapped up the attention, she would definitely come with us next time.

Coco Reef Hotel Is A Lovely Hotel, Had A Fantastic

Coco Reef Hotel is a lovely hotel, had a fantastic break here in 2003. You cannot fault the hotel really, apart from the stuffy guests who were so afraid to look and speak to other guests it was amazing!! The staff make this hotel, they are so friendly and really eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Would go back here but only for 7 days, felt 14 was far too long as not too much going on in Tobago.

The Coco Reef Hotel In Tobago Bills Itself As 'the

The Coco Reef Hotel in Tobago bills itself as 'The best resort in the Caribbean'. Wwe've stayed there three times and have never been disappointed. We have travelled in a package and independently, and the service and attention to detail is excellent. From the moment you check-in with a warm welcome and a Coco Reef cocktail, it's first class all the way.

Insist on a sea front view room, and go all inclusive if your feeling lazy. There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel - including their own Coco Cafe.

Thoroughly recommended.
