Our holiday was cancelled by the venue less than a week before we were due to go (half term). The owner of the original property didn't feel that he could cater for an autistic rider and the agent from F&R could not have tried any harder to find us an alternative option.

There was no hiding behind some T&Cs or a token apology and refund (although a refund was of course offered), instead an alternative holiday was booked requiring flights being changed to a different destination etc and F&R covered all of this because they wanted us to get the holiday that we'd been looking forward to.

The replacement venue opened up a studio that they weren't originally making available due to the owners moving into it a few weeks after our trip - they did this because of the agent at F&R.

It was clear throughout all of this effort that even if the cost of the changes meant F&R were going to make a loss on our trip they were willing to do it to keep their customers happy and live up to their reputation.

I feel let down on a pretty regular basis these days by a range of businesses that just do not live up to their promises of "obsessive customer service" etc. Far & Ride don't particularly make these boasts in words but they absolutely deliver it through their actions.An excellent company and a great team. You can trust them to arrange and deliver a great holiday.

The more I consider it, the more disappointed I am with the Cappadocia tour booked through FarAndRide last month. When I see uploads of other rides in Cappadocia and Turkey, they're cantering or galloping long distances in groups over flat land. I got stuck with a dummy couple who didn't know horse riding, a walking guide mostly on his phone, and barely any cantering, maybe a minute or two a day.

We spent nearly all our time either walking roads or hiking over trails on steep hillsides. I was told I had to be a strong intermediate rider and there would be long canters. I didn't need to be a strong intermediate for this tour. It was nearly all walking, not even a trot. So disappointing.

Wonderful five day riding holiday with our three children. Stunning trails into the mountains, through rivers and forests. Alpine scenery that took our breath away. Experienced guide who couldn’t do enough for us. Thoroughly recommended for all levels of riders. An experience we will never forget.

The person I dealt with was brilliant! I asked a number of questions in the month leading up to our event and every email was answered promptly and with all the answers I needed. She was happy to speak with me via phone or email and put my mind at ease with all my queries. I don’t think I have ever had such kind and helpful service. The holiday itself was organised brilliantly and everything went perfectly according to plan. Everyone was so kind and welcoming at Flower Hill. The man at Flower Hill was absolutely great, the horses provided were a perfect match for us all and we were sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the weekend. The lady at the B&B was so friendly and welcoming and absolutely lovely. My group of friends (including the bride to be) had a fantastic and memorable weekend! The whole weekend was just brilliant and I would highly recommend Far and Ride to everyone. Such a lovely family company. Thank you again! X

The two guys I dealt with at Far and Ride was very attentive and thoughtful of my wishes. She understood what I was looking for and supplied me with all the information needed to have a completely stress free holiday. She was easy to reach and responded quickly to emails.

The holiday itself in Andalusia was absolutely fantastic. Fantastic stay at the farmhouse with great people and lovely animals. The riding and the horses were fantastic: I got some very helpful lessons and rode some breathtaking trails.

I think I got great value for money; one on one lessons, the best views, long riding days, sun all in all an unforgettable experience.

Such an amazing company, it was super easy to book my dream holiday and they helped me though every step. After I booked I ended up having to change dates and they managed to do this very easily with no hassle. They were very helpful in getting me prepared for the trip by advising on the kit that I should take, suggesting some important things I had forgotten. Everyone I spoke to was extremely helpful, even advised me on the correct insurance to get. Every time I had a query there was a quick and helpful response. I will definitely be booking through this company again and have recommended it to all my friends.

Everything about the holiday reached our expectations and beyond ! after a bad experience with trying to book the holiday with another riding company . Far and ride were so responsive and efficient and made it a pleasure to book with them. The accommodation was just what we were looking for and the host was so helpful and friendly .

The horses were wonderful and the staff there did a great job of matching them to your ability , especially for nervous riders! I would highly recommend them and look forward to booking with them again next year!

I had the pleasure to do a trip to Jordan in may, organized by the person I dealt with from far and ride. It was just wonderfull: the horses are very well cared, the guide and his team were very kind and helpfull and the landscape is absolutely breathtaking! I asked fo vegetarian food when I booked the trip and this was also no problem, the food was delicious.

Jordan is amazing and I never felt unsave or uncomfortable.

The person I dealt with was such a great help to organize the trip. Always super friendly and very quick with replies. I would love to book my next horse riding holiday as well with far and ride.

So, if you hesitate to go to Jordan: Go, go go!

I've booked two holidays now through the person I dealt with at Far and Ride - both have been superb and the experience leading up to the holiday itself has been excellent. A very personal service and all the right information at the right time. Not many different holiday choices per country which gives me the confidence that those that make the cut are well researched and make the grade. I've been to Wales and Arizona and the hospitality and riding on both were absolutely superb. I'll definitely be travelling again.

super horses, wonderful guides and hosts, beautiful countryside, and delicious food. i was told that the accommodation was basic but i would describe it as charmingly rustic, and found it very homey and comfortable. the shower even had a built in radio and telephone!

the owners, who were also our guides, happily accommodated us far and above what one would expect. somehow they managed to make every guest feel that he or she had the best horse on the ride. the rest of the staff were equally pleasant and went out of their way to make this an enjoyable experience.

i would also like to mention how competent and considerate the uk representatives were in answering my queries promptly and patiently.

i honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say about this wonderful riding holiday. it exceeded all expectations. i have been on at least two dozen and this was by far the most enjoyable; so much so that i booked again for next spring before i left.
