Contemptuous Of Customers
Some months after booking with KE,they advised that the trip was ' Guaranteed to Run' and and advised this was a suitable time to buy our flights , buy kit and get vaccinations.
About 8 weeks before travel , they cancelled it and we were out of pocket by several thousand pounds. They were totally dismissive of our concerns.
This has to be the most arrogant of operators. There are plenty of good companies out there. Please don't make the mistake we did by booking with KE

Our 'nightmare' Holiday With Ke!
A warning to fellow Trekker's!
Please be aware of a successful Court Case against KE, where damages were awarded for them leaving us behind and losing us on a trekking holiday in the Himalayas; in dangerous and remote terrain, which could have had fatal consequencies.
It was also proven they made false allegations and fabricated evidence against us to try and cover their failings.
This was our first and most definitely our last ever 'holiday' with this Company!

Visa Application Problems, Attitude Of Office Staff
Don't travel with keadventure.com. I attempted to obtain a Russian visa via the approved visa processing company VFS Services Ltd as recommended from their detailed itinerary. This company is efficient and visa applications can be submitted, and collected in person either in one week or the following day which saves the time and hassle of the postal service, as well as the cost of using an intermediary. They also have free computers to use for the completion of the required online form. I visited them over a lunch hour and was seen in five minutes. On requesting data on three items required on the form I was informed by Gemma Waterworth at Keadventure "to use Travcour as our clients use this service as the answers must correspond exactly with the letter of introduction". Odd, it conflicts with their itinerary dated 2012 and mysterious as to how they can run trips in Russia without themselves or their agents speaking Russian. Her response was dismissive and implied that if I wanted to travel with them I should use Travcour. I looked at Travcour's website; I don't know why anyone would use this service as the first item is a link to the online application form followed by a pdf of the form. They take your fee and complete the application form on your behalf after you have supplied all the information but beware as there are some parts of the form that have additional fields to complete depending on your circumstances, something I was only aware of as I had first starting completing the online form.
If you have convenient access to London or Edinburgh or need your visa quickly apply direct.
Don't use a travel company that won't provide this information for you in English.
Keadventure also recommend getting the Lyme disease vaccination; this has been withdrawn due to side effects. It makes you wonder how much care they take to ensure the accuracy of the information they provide.
